Ive never had issues with e4mc as an alternative for a server, essentials server hosting feature i could say differently, that shit sucks for server hosting

Lan and Modded MC has never worked all that well, as Minecraft's LAN was really only built to support Vanilla. Modded introduces a lot more files that may need to be synced per player, this can be taxing on a lan connection, due to the host needing to work double time (or more depending on player count)

Easiest fix: make a local server and join it !mc-univ OR rent/find a server online to join.

you can get an i5 12400f for i think exactly 100 before tax now

and i feel like by four years since the release of a desktop cpu theres a laptop cpu thats in a similar class with similar multicore performance

but based off of that a desktop cpu should be roughly equivlent with a laptop cpu in raw performance after about 4 years at least in multicore ignoring efficiency and single which isnt a massive leap anyways and going off of the 4 years thing i feel like a desktop cpu if bought the year its released could be actually realistic stretched that long unless you're doing something pretty intensive

So far everything I’ve added has been compatible, I’m playing on mc version 1.21.8 neoforge. So far it’s just a very simple mod. But I made one for 1.21.1 and had some clashing with 3d skin layers and better animations and expressions. V sad bc it works in my new modpack but on an older version not. Ended up switching to fresh moves w animated eyes and now it doesn’t clash and make my character look possessed!

I haven't messed with forge since I was 12 I've got no idea what I'm doing then somehow slapped this together

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

:small_orange_diamond: Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Share Profile
4. You have 2 options:
   a. Profile Code !mc-sharecode
   b. Export Zip !mc-sharezip
5. Send the zip/code to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-importpack to install the pack.

:small_blue_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Share Profile
6. Click Export.
7. Select the files that should be included.
8. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
9. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

How to install mods in the CurseForge App

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
4. Start the game!
