you can use essential/e4mc to launch your own world, or use the universalator tool

There’s a few ways,
The one I recommend is purchasing a server from a hosting company (the best one I know is Kinetic Hosting) and manage everything there, and you can keep it up 24/7 (with any good hosting)
Otherwise you can purchase a Minecraft Realm, which is an official Minecraft server you buy from them but they’re very limited and not great at all. I don’t recommend this at all.
The last option is to use mods like Essentials and e4mc to make your singleplayer world become a server while you’re playing in it

Oh and yes, you can host a server locally on your computer, but unless you have a bomb of a computer or a spare one to host the server on, I’d say to not do this

Are you using the CurseForge launcher?

You don’t seem to have the modpack installed. See you can’t really add the modpack to the mod, you’ve gotta install the modpack first and then add the singular mod to it

So just go back to the home page, go in in browse, search Better Minecraft, install it and when it’s done click Add content and search for Essential and add it, launch and you’re good

You can either tell you friends to do the same thing or share the modpack with them by file or profile code

Although, Better Minecraft is quite a heavy modpack if I remember correctly so if you plan to use Essentials or e4mc (you need only one of the two, they have the same purpose) you might run into some lag or not optimal performance

If it’s not already done, you can also go in the profile settings, Allow content management and increase the amount of memory the profile can use so it doesn’t risk crashing if it starts using more than default or it can run better

Not necessarily, I find only horror modpacks to be boring yeah, but a while ago I was invited to a miscellaneously modded server with some friends and they also added The Man From The Fog (first time seeing it for me) and it was really fun, it was a very cool modpack overall with a tiny bit of scary that worked at the time

Even worse, it’s on their literal official discovery feed. And the reason they don’t fix it is because those servers usually have hundreds of thousands of boosts bringing Discord a TON of money every month.
