Cuz cf has a specific way of downloading packs for users. It reads the manifest file that apps that support the creation of cf exports make.

This is 1 way curseforge gives back to devs. As devs will get the download points when apps read the manifest to know what to download.

Otherwise uploading the actual jars wouldnt give back to the devs, it would technically be stealing from them instead.

Meaning you cant manually zip files and import.

Youll need to make a new custom pack and redownload the mods that came from the curseforge site using the app to install them.

Why Piracy is bad

There are many applications that cost a lot of money that help clean your pc. More then just a os reinstall.

Minecraft is dirt cheap compared to some of the bigger more in depth avs out there

I personally think it is for private use, most antivirus slow your pc and are not worth the money for protecting you like 0,2% more than windows build in ones.

But like this also depends on what you are doing with your pc, if you only play minecraft and chill you will probably not need one

Windows Defender is good in its own right. but to hackers its a game to see who can make apps that dont trigger the avs. Thats where the internet gets scary

Sometimes resetting windows on a laptop will not load your laptop keyboard driver, so a external keyboard will be needed

I will note tho, you will not be able to safely buy the game, untill you have cleaned your pc and removed the TL malware.

You would basically have to do all of the below. Piracy costs, if not in money, it costs in time

It also screws with your Microsoft account, and any apps that use it, meaning you will need to:

1. Remove Tlauncher
2. Do a few deep cleans of your pc using your AV of choice. Recommend more then just 1 clean.
3. Change any and all passwords on any accounts you logged into on the pc, this includes the root password.
4. Once all that is done you will need to prove to us you own the game.

Only after all that can we assist in issues.

all in all, all issues with the internet and viruses comes down the same same principle as deciding what faction of people you intergrate with irl.
You just have to decide on something and go with it until either A; a problem occurs that does not kill you. B; you become more proficient and learned to actually see what is a problem.

or you just use linux and trust every person (that's what i do xD) I use sandboxed vms on Linux to run windows stuff sometimes and for games with anti cheat i just switch to Windows ltsc with talon (a debloater for windows)

I have what I call "throw away" drives that I load into a pc and hide behind a test network to play with things. Then mirror a network port on one of my switches to see if I can catch any bad things.

Try this:

1. Open Device manager app
2. Keyboards category.
3. Right-click on your keyboard and select Uninstall device.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Windows will automatically reinstall the keyboard driver.

Just to rule out a usb port failure, do you have a usb mouse to test your usbs? This would be different from using a data drive

My best guess is the keyboard drivers are failing, while a windows reset could fix this. I could also see it going south if the reset keeps the current drivers instead of a fresh install
