Alright, so my server runs fine without mods, but as soon as I try running it with mods, it just gets stuck. I’ve been trying to figure out what’s causing it, and here’s what I’m doing to fix it. First, I made sure all my mods are actually compatible with the Minecraft and Forge version I’m using (1.20.1). If I updated Forge recently, there’s a chance some mods might not be compatible anymore. Since the error message doesn’t directly say what mod is causing the issue, I checked logs/latest.log to see if it points to anything specific. That’s usually where Forge spits out useful info about crashes. I also moved all my mods out of the mods folder and started adding them back in one by one to see which one is breaking the server. Yeah, it’s tedious, but it’s the best way to find the culprit. Another thing I checked is missing dependencies. Some mods need extra libraries like GeckoLib or Cloth Config API, so if a mod depends on something I don’t have installed, that could be the issue. There’s also a chance the server is just running out of memory, so I edited my run.bat file to give it more RAM by changing the command to java -Xmx4G -Xms2G -jar forge-1.20.1-<my-version>.jar nogui and I might bump it up to 8GB if needed. Just to be safe, I also grabbed the latest versions of Forge and all my mods in case an outdated mod is causing the issue. Another thing I considered is that some mods just don’t work well together, so if I still can’t get it running, I’ll check online to see if other people have had issues with certain mod combinations. If none of this works, I’ll just wipe everything except my world folder and server.properties, reinstall Forge, and slowly add mods back. Hopefully, I don’t have to go that far, but at least I have a plan. I just wanna get this working so I can actually play.

I don’t know where to put ideas for curseforge but as a filter there should be the yellow reinstall sign add in also a reinstall all at once if possible because it takes a while to fix all the mods if your trying to find or reinstall updated/broken mods. Just a thought.
