Adding mods to packs you didnt make is like taking a handful of needles and throwing them into a stack of needles > then trying to find out what needles broke the original ones.

Mods are not guaranteed to work together. Pack making is a fine art, it takes a lot of time to get things to work just right. Adding mods that werent in the pack can through the whole pack off.

It only takes 1 mod to break a modpack

edited pre-mades can be ticking time bombs, the issues is you never know when it will go off. When it does troubleshooting the errors are very very difficult as we dont know how the original pack was made, nor what you changed.

In short means any attempts to fix could break it more, only fix is a clean reinstall with no edits. Usually means world loss as well

I was going to look at the mod to see, but without a modloader (Forge, Fabric, Quilt, Neoforge) I have to try and guess which version of the mod your using for what modloader.

vs you just telling us the modloader and I save 30min of guessing

Generally when someone asks you want Mc version and modloader your on, its to have a look a the issue or question.

Otherwise we have to dig through every possible version the mod is for. not all versions have the same content either.

Remote upgrade: Right click upgrade on a controller, then place in your remote drawer. This will link only that drawer

Group remote: Right click a controller to link, then place in 1 of the drawers in a group (side by side).

Basically a link 1 drawer, vs a group of drawers to a controller that isnt in the group

Actually just did a test where I put 1 drawer exactly 50 blocks away, and a drawer beside it at 51. Added a group remote upgrade.

The drawer at 50 got the item, the drawer at 51 didnt.

So the grouping has to still be within the controller blocks range.

Then the original dev changed settings. This is why you shouldnt edit pre-made packs unless you 100% know everything the dev did to the pack to start with

The game doesnt load 100% of the world all the time, it only loads the parts your actively in. Meaning if you dont chunkload farther areas, they will go into a hold state. and cant be accessed untill you load them again

Think of it like turning off a light in your home when your not in the room, anything in that room wont work until you turn the light back on.

The best one would probably be self hosting as it is completely free. But otherwise I would recommend Cloudnord as it's pretty cheap and you can get a decent server for it

You click the blue text at the bottom (it's a link to the github) and then you download the zip, unzip it, start the bat file in there and follow the instructions it gives

Nope

They only need the mods. But keep in mind that you can't add the client sided mods to the server side

that helper program can scan to remove client side mods - it's not perfect but it gets most - they get added to the list when people report them
