Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

:small_orange_diamond: Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_blue_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Recently Ive seen a lot of people in the minecraft support chat complaining about modpacks that were previously working just fine suddenly refusing to even start booting and just throwing error code 1 with a flawless log that shows no issues and I was messing with settings today and found out that enabling " skip launcher with CurseForge" just fixes the problem immediately for some reason

Guys, I have a modpack added to curseforge and I made some upgrades to the older modpack, exported the new files and uploaded it back to curseforge website. It got approved but I was wondnering something. How do I make it so my friends can open the options and find the "change version" button just like in other modpacks? Cuz right now they need to search for the modpack once again, click versions, and then they can download the newer version, so they keep creating new instances, and they need to config everything in the sodium mod, sensivity, keybinds, basically download another modpack. I simply want them to be able to update the modpack without the need of creating a new instance. Btw, I have no knowledge at creating modpack, I just threw some mods together and wanted to have a good time with my friends. But we always come up with new mods to add, and that's what we are doing, but they create a new instance everytime they update the modpack. Appreciate any help!

Since I have gained a 2003 dell dimension 2400 tower from my uncle, is it possible to upgrade it to run modern games?

Does it have all the original components? If so, uh... basically every component is so out of date that you'd need to replace everything. The main limiter of every computer is the motherboard, so I'm going to see if PCPartsPicker has that in their library so I can see what's compatible. Don't get your hopes up though.

...yeah it looks like upgrading is unlikely. You COULD upgrade the RAM as far as I can tell, but chances are it's not going to run anything modern at all, and is unlikely to be upgradeable beyond that.

For reference, my ASUS B350 PRIME motherboard can only run this Ryzen 7 CPU because of an experimental BIOS by ASUS.

And the ASUS Prime was released in... 2015? let me double check that

Nothing compressed air won't fix. Make sure to NOT use a vacuum, and to use something like a toothpick to keep the CPU fan in place while air is blown!

Then you can just move them from the resourcepacks folder into your world's folder or set the Global Packs mod to automatically enable any datapacks found in the resourcepacks folder

Hey guys, got a doubt here. I have a modpack at curseforge just to play with some friends, and I was wondering what folder (besides mods, configs, shaderpacks and resourcepacks) do I need to upload so they get my Video Settings (we are using embeddium, and embeddium extra to customize the particles), my keybinds and Music & Sounds. Appreciate any help.
I say that because everytime someone download the modpack they ask me what keybind does what, or what keybind they should put to perform such action. What sound config they should put, since everything comes at 100%. The gui scale always comes on auto, so the size of the hud is gigantic. Also comes with vsync on, limited fps. I just wanted to configurate it all and launch the modpack this way.

Instead of speeding up the game, it slows down the cpus processing by trying to process all the ram, used or unused.

This is not overly healthy for your CPU and RAM, as it would be the same as running a stress test, but on 1 cpu core...```
