Curseforge doesn't host servers, but there are websites you can use to rent server space with various companies

Most websites that do that have a website panel to manage the installation on the server - for example can automatically install some modpacks, or let you only install modloader files and you upload your own mods

was running a 128 mod pixelmon modpack a while back so i jsut cranked the ram up since i have 32 in my laptop

Mod count doesnt matter, its what the mods add that do, as 150 little content mods can behave the same as 10 large content mods

Instead of speeding up the game, it slows down the cpus processing by trying to process all the ram, used or unused.

This is not overly healthy for your CPU and RAM, as it would be the same as running a stress test, but on 1 cpu core...```

@gleaming zealot For future reference, it was mainly the incompatibility between chunky & the mod "lootr" in prominence II modpack. I finally joined chunky's server and they have a list that isn't on their github. Users can remove lootr, run chunky, then re-add it back when they are done generating.

My server was stopping automatically while loading with chunky. Wasn’t a crash. No logs. The host said it was just the resources being used up in Minecraft so the server restarts.

When I went to config chunky to “continue on restart” it just crashed my server every time.

I nerded out and just found a script tool that types “/chunky continue” and sends every 20 minutes in my server console; just so I don’t have to manually do it. 🤌

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_orange_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

You could also use this community made tool for installing packs! Instructions are provided on the site.

Whenever I try loading my mod pack with optifine it gives me the "Exit Code: 1" error message. I've watch tutorials and I'm doing everything correctly but am still getting this error. That would be the enchanting matrix from quark oddities. Should be able to disable it on the quark mods configs

Otherwise should work the same as vanilla, similar pieces can be stacked on eachother, rest is like playing tetris
