Sounds like something else is going on with the pc. looking back at the chat, you have and amd cpu with an integrated gpu, so if your nvidia gpu ran into issues it should flip to that
Pc should also be giving out some sort of errors, unless the battery died

The file is safe, given that I made the tool. It just adds settings to the registry, to tell your computer to use the GPU to run the java executables in the CurseForge directory.
So if your computer broke from that, it was probably broken from the start.

that's incredibly old. probably not going to work. to have any chance at all you'll need to have the mod named 'legacyjavafix' in the mods folder, which isn't hosted on Curseforge - and allows ancient minecraft to work with java 8

You should NEVER need that much ram; Java can't handle. much more than 10, so 8 is the community's recommended (4 is minimum). If you need that much ram to run a modpack, something REALLY screwed up.
So that modpack creator needs to wither find out what's causing a leak (or hogging memory) and report it, or tone down the mod amount

Just go in file, choice the version, and install. If the "install" feature don't work, then download and import the modpack.
Type !mc-packimport for instructions on how importing a modpack.
OR install the modpack directly in the app, and everything will be automatic. !mc-installpack for instructions
Additional Files in only/mostly for serverpack. Not for the client/singleplayer modpack directly

For me I would just host on your own computer if that is an option because it's way faster generally, safer, and if I do this I use 2 really nice freeware. MC Server Soft which can manage everything about it and even has options to make it 24/7, it's also just really user friendly and you can setup a server off of it straight away. The 2nd is ngrok which is free and paid, but for free I use it since you can make your own ip's which aren't customizable, but if it's a private server with friends it doesn't matter, just make sure to resend it after you launch the server again.

Dont worry about the port forwarding, ngrok does that. Just make sure you have the actual server files ready and then its self-explanatory when setting it up on mcss but you dont need it unless you want a good managing system and 24/7 options
