Ram crashing your pc basically means you used up all your ram, leaving your OS with 0.00 usable ram.

At that point you pc just says "nope", blue screeens, then turns off.

This can be very hard on your pc as a whole, would be roughly the same as straigh up unpluging your pc, but withour the chance of recovery as processing couldnt prepare OR things were still processing.

Its why after you ram crash your pc, it can take anywhwere from a few min to x hours to recover

In other words the computer has to actively start marking parts of RAM as "Unoccupied?"

Some BSOD screens can be worse then others. If you get a BSOD your pc atleast tried to save itself.

Ive had some Ram crashes where everything just stops and the pc screams in pain.

Only os I know that has proper protections agains this is Linux. It will kill any processes that threaten over ram usages. BUT only if it can in time.

It can be all the above. It comes down to what your pc was doing at the time of the crash. Since all parts are actively getting power and are all doing something.

If a pc is turned off suddenly or killed by user error, all hardware can take a hit.

File corruption, mobo failure, ram death, cpu core deaths, this list goes on. Can all happen. Just depends on the over all health of the component and what your doing to your pc

Say your running a beefy pc, your overclocking the hell out of it, pushing all components to there max possible. This can wear out a pc faster.

VS

Running a pc normally, not messing with speeds, not choking it out. you can get more out of it.

However hardware fails do happen in both cases. PC parts can be luck of the draw

You can use ARR on modpacks, if the mods are from the cf site, and your uploading the pack to the cf site. The devs will still get downloads towards their mods.

The export.zips the cf app makes, dont actually contain any mods. Those get put into the manifest file. So when someone downloads your pack, they redownload all the mods that you set (exact versions too)

Its CFs way of giving back to the devs. (other games do something similar, depends on the game tho)

Downloads earn devs points, points can be used to get things from the rewards store.

How much memory did you set the game to use? Don't set it to your total memory, or more than it. Set it to a fraction, don't run other unnecessary high-memory programs at the same time, and check for a crash report before you go disabling mods and diagnosing.

More precisely, i'd like to craft gunpowder (need around 35k of it) and in my modpack with immersive engineering and create TFMG i have 2 recipes: both require sulfur and nitrate dust, but each mod has it's own variant of these 2 items and they are not compatible. How can i make the crafting recipes recognize both sulfur and nitrate?

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

Hello I need some assistance. I wish to make profiles on the curseforge app for games that are beyond the 5 displayed by default, like worldbox. Yet find myself unable to. When I select the plus symbol in the settings and browse my folder, none of my games appear. Even after having connected my steam account. Are you for some reason not able to make profiles for steam games? I assumed you could because I was able to connect my steam account. Or am I missing something?
