Yes, but it is not recommended. As adding mods to a pack you didnt make is the fastest way to break it, youll also be on your own to fix any issues.

Mods have 0 guaruntee to work together. Pack devs sometimes do extra things other then just throw mods together and hope it works. Adding more mods to a pack can disrupt the balance the original dev had created.

In short, turn a working mess into a major mess with unknown possiblilites.

I worded that incorrectly. I’d like to use two biome mods. One is updated to 1.20 and the other is only up to 1.19. I had to download the 1.20 mods 1.19 version so I can use the other 1.19 mod since it wasn’t compatible with each other. If there were 1.14 mods I wanted to use for example would I have to get the 1.14 versions of those mods and launch it in 1.14 version?

My problem is when I try to add mods into a folder on cursed forge. If I have a 1.19 mod and try to add a 1.20 mod it says not compatible, obviously. So I have to download the 1.19 version to use both, this means playing the 1.19 mc version. Was just curious if there was a work around back in the day you could before cursed forge.

That is correct because your minecraft version is 1.19 so you have to use mods that were made for 1.19

Okay Aikars flags specific call for xms to take effect, the other flags require the xms and xmx to be equal to work right.

Curse forge doesnt have a slider for the xms so I have to manually do it everytime

If I use default XMS at 256 MB, it has to calculate how much RAM I need as I reach the limit; the XMS allows the RAM to just be at max when ever it's needed. It makes these calculations irrelevant because I do not need to save RAM. There can also be issues with these calculations.

This avoids that and I was wondering if there was a way to hard set my xms value on cursed forge

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

Mods and minecraft isn't the most optimized game, and loading modded is never gonna start "fast" depending on your definition of fast. Can add performance mods like embeddium and oculus for trying to up smoothness and performance, but I can guarantee it'll prolly never work flawlessly, it'll crash for one person one reason or another

For everyone struggling with slow downloads:
There is an issue with an older version of Malwarebytes causing slow downloads, if you use that make sure you are fully updated.
