Anyone have any good reccomendations for a modpack kind of between Vanilla+ and kitchen sink? I love the amount of content in kitchen sink packs, but most are designed around super complicated tech mods I don't really enjoy. I like vanilla+, but a lot of the time they are pretty close to default minecraft, which is their purpose admittedly, but I want a bit more. Everytime I try to customize a modpack myself it never works.

the modding crowd seems to generally come to use some versions as 'major versions' - it's no set thing. 1.18.2 seems like it has become one

newer versions are often more performant, and more supported by mod authors (if you find a bug it will probably be fixed, rather than be ignored and told to just deal with it)
they also have more vanilla features, like proper swimming mechanics (1.13+), much more interesting nether (1.16+), taller worlds (1.17+) and better cave generation (1.18+)

cause i found on mod that can be played on 1.18.2 and 1.16.5 and its like orespawn. has dozens of mobs all highly detailed new weapons and new bosses yet it only has 14k downloads
there is also a gun version a mob version which adds a bunch of hard bosses (like orespawn) and a food version.
