That one should just automatically update relative to current time, if I got the syntax right

saw other people repost their stuff and I wanted to join in 👉 👈
Also acts as an open invitation for any feedback and the like, cause this is certainly the most eyes I have gotten from anything.

#

My nemesis...

marsh cliff
#

its been a tight race for second place, although last time I checked you're in the lead (you made the MES, Pacific, right?)

pulsar oracle
#

Tis me yes

marsh cliff
#

wonderful 🙏

pulsar oracle
#

I kept checking to see if you'd taken the lead again or not every few hours

marsh cliff
#

lol

#

fantastic mech to be in competition with, love the ideas

formal loom
#

good morning/afternoon everyone o/

#

actually i just noticed this but i was reviewing my answers to see what i had voted for and i just noticed this section in the bottom left where it says i can share the link to let others edit my response but also can fill out a new response is that normal does that just delete my prior vote or just generate a second voting response sheet or what

spark crypt
polar hollow
#

As others have shared such here already, I figure I might as well share the LCP and PDF for my own submission too:

formal loom
#

experimentation tells me that clicking it just takes me to the "you've finished voting" page so i think its just the form being strange

polar hollow
#

ideally I'd like to find some module I could write to find it a good home(something where you can steal "borrow" the frame from some karrakin colonial overlords from) but sadly I am a forever GM already busy running No Room for a Wallflower and In Golden Flames both DX

formal loom
#

yeah it its just like that on the campaign front

stable elbow

stable elbow
formal loom
#

oh thanks!!

#

if i wind up getting through my big lcp update push i might post the new lcp here,

#

i would have already and while the grayling itself didnt change a bunch of other shit did and it would feel weird changing it right after posting

stable elbow
#

yeah that's fair

#

mine has 1 heavily WIP mech (the Takamori) that has like 3 separate versions in the LCP right now, but I was too lazy to clear out all the test stuff from that other license 😅

oblique trout
#

We are heartened we got second in our block

#

We think

tawdry tiger
#

If it does, I love his story. Amazing character in history.

marsh cliff
#

Yup! All the frame from SYU come from the "Fathers" or notable members of a particular field. Thought Simo would be a good fit for the artillery, given the history of him.

tawdry tiger
#

Indeed, it was a good choice for artillery.

#

What are the other names of the mechs, if I may implore?

slow tangle
#

I think because I don't have any other public documents about the RPC, I'm going to add a bit of a one-page narrative primer to the end of the peppercorns document and then that's when I will repost it

That way people can learn more about what's going to be going on in the full field guide that is going to be a part of

stable elbow
#

He's fantastic

sour smelt
#

Magnus is great yeah

marsh cliff
# tawdry tiger What are the other names of the mechs, if I may implore?

Freeman - a striker who tears itself apart to deal more damage (based on Walter Freeman, father of lobotomy)
Hippocrates - potent support, reference is self-explanatory
Mills - A grenade frame based on the man who invented the Fragmentation grenade.

There's more but those are a few, I would type out the whole list but my phone is about to die, if you're interested in the others I'll share em when I get to my computer

tawdry tiger
#

The lobotomy mech sounds like something

#

Very interesting people to choose to base mechs off of!

#

May your phone charge swiftlybosssalute

sour smelt
#

SYU is a very neat manufacturer

formal loom
#

oh you know, i realize that people probably don't realize this but i think my favorite interaction about the grayling is that That consuming Lock On with the Somnus Sagitta still activates the weapon's effect

#

Lock on doesn't expire until after the attack resolves, which is nice

sour smelt
#

Tbf you can also order the Slowed before the hit effect from the gun

#

but that does make it nice for usage outside of Grayling

formal loom
#

you can as well, which only really matters for the heavy fire variant

#

its just important for the weapon to have appeal outside the primary mount itself. IT also works on things like infiltrator 2, etc, or whatever else people want to combo with for on hit conditions like walking armory 2 or the like

marsh cliff
# marsh cliff **Freeman** - a striker who tears itself apart to deal more damage (based on Wal...

no asked for it but I'm gonna write out the rest of them

Bruce - named after Bruce Lee, it is a striker/Defender who can grapple its allies for safety
Wright - named after the Wright Brothers, its a swift striker who weaponizes its flight
Abel - named after the biblical shepherd, its a drone mech who can extend its sensors via its drones and blow them up
Maxim - named after the inventor of the automatic machine gun, its a mech that loves to use every weapon type possible, its variant, the Woo, is named after the "father" of Gun-kata, aka the shit they were doing in the matrix
and finally, the Shrapnel, an artillery mech that specializes in AoE weapons, more specifically, Cannons.

Sooner or later I would love to make like, a proper itch page for it, but I wanna either get most, if not all the lore done for the compendium entries, and maybe start trying to commission some art, but thats expensive and I'm broke, so who knows 🤷‍♂️

frail torrent
#

main thing with my submission I am like 90 percent sure i may have pulled inspiration from some of liminal space and castor and pollux for mine subconciously lol

#

which tbf is not the first time i've done that to the author and it is a loving joke between us at this lol

slow tangle
frail torrent
#

good call! i'll be sure to add that to the doc

slow tangle
#

Like mine isn't even inspiration, I explicitly asked cheese for permission because I was just completely struggling with how to figure out how to structure the baseline of the marking mechanic i wanted to do and cheese just had it so smoothly figured out

OK! Finished doing all the reading today and put in my votes. Thanks all for sharing your work, it made for an entertaining few evenings.

Realized I should make a stand-alone doc for the Werewolf for the sake of convenience, so here it is.

inland cloud
#

My thanks. IK thoguht so too :)

frail bane
#

If it becomes a bigger issue, I can change my frame's name to something else. Maybe HORUS Morbion since a large part of my frame incorporates a sickening green ooze

#

And, as far as I know, the name isn't taken yet

bitter turret
#

it's not an issue

left bloom
#

It's literally only an issue in this one singular case of needing to differentiate between the two when the only identifiers are name and manufacturer.

jade prism
#

even then like

how many HORUS Dragons are out there?

left bloom
#

Nobody has dibs on third-party mech names.

jade prism
#

things can have the same or similar names while being mechanically distinct

frail bane
#

Fair enough. HA Caesar's winning my block anyways.

#

Props to them as well, I like the design of the license

celest bloom
#

glacial dust
formal loom
#

im pretty sure i've seen like 3 or four yeah

#

had someone once tell me somewhere i should change the name of mine for some reason because there was one in Auric range

sour fable
#

has anyone made an Aunic based Corpro yet? or has roots stemming from them?

left bloom
#

I've done a bunch of Aunic alt-frames, but not a proper corp. (Admittedly, my corp in Iridia ended up with a reasonable amount of Aunic influences, with the hardlight and magitech stuff.)

#

I feel like there's probably going to be some hesitation to actually do full-on Aunic stuff, though, because of it potentially not meshing with the Aun Field Guide when it gets released. (I've made peace with the fact that my chosen lore and aesthetics will probably be rendered entirely obsolete once we get official releases, haha.)

formal loom
#

i have notes on starting up one but i have too many games to run and other shit im working on to really sit down and write something

gloomy kettle
#

Not a full corp, but my Archon is firmly Aun-adjacent (but explicitly not actually aunic)

abstract rapids
#

Is there a link to all the submissions?

glacial dust
#

we're late enough in I'm no longer looking at the votes and hoping for an upset, and am now trying to analyze to see if the performance was a fault of the frame I chose to submit or the competition it was against.

#

I thiiink probably a bit of both?

glacial dust
#

Bayou predates Hecaton by like two years 😔

pulsar oracle
#

Ah, very unfortunate draclul

glacial dust
#

and here I thought the problem was mostly in the license

autumn ibex
#

Sometimes people just dont like a mechanic so they dont like the frame

glacial dust
#

can't really do anything about the hide DNA in the frame without scrapping the guy entire

pulsar oracle
#

I'm talking with no actual evidence here, I'm not a great judge of why people like something or not

autumn ibex
#

a lot of frames that revolve around hidden tend to get harsh critisism despite not really being bad

pulsar oracle
#

But I voted for it and that's all that matters RosSwag

autumn ibex
#

I still refuse to look at the votes so we'll see what happens this weekend

#

The only reason I reposted The Fool a couple times is cuz, seemingly, people didn't give it a look the first time around

glacial dust
#

I could repost the Bayou but I haven't the last couple times people have reposted cause like

#

honestly I don't think reposting here actually helps visibility

autumn ibex
#

I mean, it def does lmao when people are discovering your mech for the first time 3 days after the polls started

#

its more a matter of if they'll be bothered to revote even if they like it

pulsar oracle
#

I haven't dared repost my frame because what if people think i'm desperate for attention and then hate me because of it

autumn ibex
#

That's called ✨Anxiety

pulsar oracle
#

I might have anxiety

autumn ibex
#

Lmao

#

I've probably reposted the fool 3 times now, after the first time nobody really cared

#

The first time I got a few people saying "wow this is cool" or "I didn't know YOU made this!" and a bunch of first time readers

#

but after that I think most people just haven't been checking in as much

pulsar oracle
#

Or they already knew / read it

golden mason

like, "All-Terrain Alligator", "Swamp King" and "Law of the Jungle" as trait names? you bet i'm feeling the vibe

#

and the mechanics live up to that

formal loom
#

i did enjoy a lot of what i read about it, yeah

#

i'm actually tempted to wonder what others thought ultimately of the grayling, but i imagine that fourteenth block placement did it no favors given that it seems everyone just kind of powered through as quickly as possible, all in one block,

golden mason
#

I actually remember the Grayling from way before, funny enough

#

so i openned it up and was like "oh yeah this mech" and immediately ticked it off lmao

#

its a nice, clean machine

formal loom
#

yeah i remembered workshopping the core a bit as to what it was. made it rather fun, in my experience, and the players liked it, at least

oblique trout
#

We must admit we're rather chuffed we're even getting second in our block still

golden mason
#

tbh thats more or less has been my outlook: regardless of where i am, at least i know an odd few hundred people actually saw the damn thing

you've been afflicted with /my/ madness, and i am not sorry

alright, it's now the final 24 hours, 25 to be more precise I suppose

whatever that will happen with the result, this has been quite a trip. I definitely didn't realize the response from the community would be this intense for sure

This is a good reminder for me to go and quickly add my little lore primer that why anyone who wants to read it or if I do happen to win, there is the lore and narrative about the company and set dressing that it is a part of

Alright now with better organizing, an entire RPC 1 page Lore Primer at the end, and title tab jumping - the RPC Peppercorn

Clovis was what I voted for personally

shut path
# tribal radish Damn. Last or nearly last in all cases for my work.

there was stiff competition this time around.
Shit like the black prince, jackalope, archon and the kamehameha were premo stuff, so no need to feel too disheartened.
Best thing to do is knuckle under, carry on, and not let it get ya down.

Hell, this is my second mechanical brewey comp I flubbed, but, eh, it's just nice seeing how my work is viewed by a wider audience than myself and my discord sickos.

#

it's a good measuring stick.

#

The only thing I'm sad about is the bascilica from bracket 16 not getting a video.
Easily the funniest mech I've ever seen 🤣

pulsar oracle
#

The only complaint I've got for the Clovis I think is the Marie-class NHP that gives too much for too little cost

#

Not being able to skirmish or barrage is a low low cost when you're a hacker and being able to lock on for free every round is already good, but you also get a bonus to tech attacks and dditional effects with no round limit when you bolster, lock on or scan

#

I think if I were to put this on a chomolungma my GM would kill me in real life

shut path

fair points.
TBH, the bonus to tech attacks is something I can strip from it, and not lose the intended effect of the NHP..

#

that, and saying you cant bolster, scan or lock on more than usual with it if you take the free would be a good limitation to...

pulsar oracle
#

well, even if it still obeys action duplication rules, you still get a lock on for free every turn (hell maybe two if you have panopticon)

#

Which, you only need one in the first place I think

shut path
#

In playtests that hasn't really been an issue; most of the time players seem to favour the bolster.

# unique rain thanks for everyone that voted for the Cyclops!!!

Honestly I really like the cyclops as a balor alt.
I'm not exactly sure how I feel about rust marks as it tends to be the kind of mechanics I find hard to keep track of, and its ability to deal outright burn (through its invade or rust tokens) so feel a bit powerful

but

But I love the idea of a balor built around the use of stuff like the balor 1 drones with the synergies you get from getting drones adjacent to enemies and a friend LOVED the invade letting your drones thus move closer like a pack of hounds to the target invaded

#

And I feel there's something really unique to that angle

Well, now the voting is over, I'm free to tweak the Bayou license

(Headhunter got significantly buffed, maybe overly so, but people seemed regularly of the opinion is was too situational before, so we'll try with this and tune down if necessary)

Ah gaddangit, I'm too late to vote. Thought it closed tomorrow the fifteenth, so I took the time to settle in to look through the options today. Closed today and by timezones and nighttimes I should've pretty much done it yesterday.

#

Nae STUM winners. Can't say I like that, but there's still interesting stuff among those who did win, and they've got it fair an' square. Next time.

Did get a good amount of votes still I see.

Now you do! I played with the creator of STUM ages back and I more or less learned that through them lmao

(the fact they used Cultist Sim portraits as readily available PC tokens helped to confirm it)

I quite like the Grammatophylum as well, it does a similar thing by giving you better ways to use the tortuga's siege ram (size 3, stonefist trait). Not to mention the art goes real hard, love karrakin mechs and the kobold wreck is a nice touch to emphasise the house of stone theming.

polar hollow
#

Thank you ❤️
Gram also was built with the idea of Hyperdense Armor, inspired by the Corebook Goliath's Siege Armor (thus maybe synergizing with it's ability to Crush Target but I haven't been able to playtest that proper XvX )

unique rain
#

oh yeah that totally makes sense, the porting of goliath features is also cool, it's nice to have player options that match what the NPCs can do

polar hollow
# unique rain oh yeah that totally makes sense, the porting of goliath features is also cool, ...

Yeah.
Amusingly its also what inspired Stonefist; a lot of the Goliath optional abilities have a physicality to them and themes that feel like they play on grappling and ramming, sometimes even from Range.

Pin is a powerful ability that snatch someone from Range 2 to pin them under the Goliath(in a way a reflavored grab with extras).

Power knuckle is essentially a souped up Ram with a reach of 2 again; also dealing kinetic damage but that can easily be covered by the Tortuga siege ram.

I couldn't give these abilities to a player frame(and beside there are ways to build talents or gear that reflect some of the vibe i an certain) but the Range 2 of both ultimately inspired the Stonefist trait

it was my favorite of all the tortuga alts, easily, in terms of mechanical design and execution. One i think worked very well
