BFG is a cool game with some substantial problems
it makes sense to me that the mechanicus best could measure up against the imperium's best, since they're effectively a peer empire kinda deal
id kind of expect mechanicus foot soldiers to get walked through by the banana boys though
I know the phantoms are the ones normally done by like 2-3 living pilots but warlock titans are just pure ghost
I don't think they have anyone who is Custodes-tier omnibroken but elite Myrmidons are at least peers in the noble art of blowing shit up, since an old Myrmidon has Custodes stats, more health, less armour
they're slower and have worse melee weapons but shoot a hell of a lot better
Eldar titans are hilariously mobile, and their displacer shields make them very difficult to hit because it's all just a wall of glitter n' shit.
Myrmidons are cool
stomp stomp (clap?)
id love to see more eldar titan content in the current era
and the revenants are a single living pilot plus infinity circuit
I would love a Mechanicus book about a city with a bunch of feuding Myrmidax temples in it
it seems like an aeldari titan is a big ass commitment for a craftworld to deploy
do cultivator shit with the robot sects
yes
wuxia + mechanicus?
it goes really well
they essentially never do it unless they have to and thats either in an unavoidable pitched battle or the defence of the craftworld itself
"an old sage took his forbidden techniques and holed up in the mountains in the Great Red Wastes, go find him"
totally transferrable plot
learn how to circulate the motive force and see the future with prophetic algorithms and deploy your six arms to fistfight a custode
eldar titan clans are also fucking wacky
mechanicus cultivation does sound fucking peak tbh
you get to do the "building your lightsabre" scene but it's building your new reactor core before you ascend to become Combat Fridge
oh i didn't see anything about this in the lexicanum
combat fridge 🙏
“A weapon from a more civilized age…”
“You mean this gun that irradiates the bones of your enemies so much that they glow through their skin as they die screaming?”
beautiful
"The age was civilized, because the weapons were barbaric and no one wanted to fight. in fact, this is tame by their standards."
will say its old lore but still really sick
Oh nice
Am i remembering right, that the aeldari and drukhari can't use their most powerful weapons because they require unrestricted psychic power usage?
well they can use them but it tends to result in the nomming of the user
Belatedly, what they need to do stop "okay we gotta worf the titan so the titan stops flattening everything" is have the titan in plots where some important building or whatever needs to remain intact so it has to fight around that
Maybe titan shows up as late reinforcements to a siege and it can clear out everything outside the fortress but the defenders still have to deal with all the intruders
This is an especially valid concern when, as seems to be most often the case, the Titans are fighting a defensive campaign on Imperial worlds to begin with in modern 40k
And all the manufactories and communications facilities and even basic infrastructure are now irreplaceable
Like having the Warlord fire it's quake cannon into a hab block is one thing, but if the battle is happening around a delicate and volatile plasma-fusion power plant that's another
you dont see that aspect presented often; that titans are not precise instruments
got nearly tabled lol, i think i shouldve used the iconarch and demagogues abilities more instead of squirreling them away on points with blessed blades, and my opponent advised me to keep my devotees back a bit more til they have time to mutate up so they dont get shredded (i think you should leave a few unmutated for objective purposes?) but they liked my paintjob :D
kill team is a lot more complex than i thought, i read the wahapedia core rules page but i dont rhink it mentioned equupment and stuff
I like how Storm of Iron handles Titans. Which is to say that the Princeps fucked up because he wanted a kill on the Dies Irae. 😛
Which feels most "Urban Warfare in a Hive?"

Or
First one imo
very awesome
The Emperor's Geezers
Questiom. Do you prefer Melta weapo fire ms being show as blasts or beams?
Blasts, personally
Like, definitely a directed cone or beam, but not something sustained, just FLASH and then something is vaporized
Storm bolters my beloved.
I like to imagine them as having a variable nozzle type of deal going
I put them all on my vets/honor guard because I want combi-weapons but don't want to fuss with tiny magnets so my solution is that the squad will have a cyber-cherub or servo-skull carrying a given weapon type (flamer, plasma, melta, grav) and I'm just gonna have it follow along.
dual guns truly are some peak
also i need to get back to working on the art for my chapter
thats what they did in 2e, its canon
I like the heat blast style meltas in Dawn of War
Blast because Space Marine 1 had it like a goddamn super shotgun and heck if that wasn't satisfying.
Blasts because we already have beam weapons with Volkite stuff
Blast because Jurgen get the melta.
Personally I am a fan of like
A spartan laser sort of flashing death lance
See I always thought of them as like a big stretched out blowtorch flame, a continuous thin cone of heat
I always imagined it like a blob
Intense and focused heat burst
Less visible beam but not like a real area of effect
It's not a spread weapon, it's a hole puncher
If that makes sense
Them being shotguns in Space Marine and Boltgun always bugged me
Yeah same
It's the Fuck One Thing Every 15 Seconds gun in my brain
I think they were a shotgun cause they needed something that hit harder than an astartes shotgun would, was iconic, and visually distinct
I honestly think most enjoyers of 40k don't actually know the astartes shotgun even exists
My mind was turned upside down recently by the knowledge that the votann apparently have fucking bolter shotguns,
How does that even work 😭
Like
8 small rockets firing in tandem going down the same barrel???
Some sort of proximity-triggered release maybe
nobody knows and it's not explained
I think I was most recently convinced that its shot mode is just a normal shotgun it just can also shoot bolt rounds like a slug
So effectively just a smoothbore bolter
Brother Nikolas Flame riding his bike. A bit of the fire painting process of the Cursed Rider i painted a couple of days ago. Hope you find it useful . . #warhammer40k #warhammer #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #gamesworkshop
How many units can even have an astartes shotgun rn? It's just scouts right?
Out prayers have been heard kinda. Budget 40k Myrmidons
The electropriest detach is fucking legit honestly
If they let you take that in Haloscreed its boutta enter The Cool Zone
Yeah but you'd have to use electropriests :p
Like we give the chicken walkers shit for being horrible points per dollar but the electropriests have them beat
Nah electro priests are more points than their $$$
Both sydonian dragoon chickens are less points than their $$$, only the ironstrider is more
Both priest units also Do Something compared to the jezzail chickens lmfao
DEFCON 5 FELLAS DEV WOUNDS SPILL OVER AGAIN
GET THE ELF B GONE OUT OF THE TOOLSHED
I wonder how FNP works for fast rolling. Or if it just won't
Also, baffling data screed is a funny name. I like to think it's just really confusing and not literally hacking lol
(I appreciate it does something to non-vehicles)

I fucking love the Alpha Legion dude
You know, I just started using tomiya thin and the glue in the jar is rather than the squeeze bottle And I enjoy it. It took a sect to adjust to glue consistency and how dry and how to place it. But I understand now
With the little brush applicators? I don't think I've used plastic cement that was anything that didn't have those, huh
WRAITHKNIGHTS ARE SO BACK
All elves must die
We can't force auto 6s so it's slightly less stupid
We dont even have infinite shitmen anymore to keep em in check
Without auto 6s it's waaaaay less crazy
However...
Wraithguard themselves don't even have dev anymore
See, the dev wounds spilling over have me pondering stuff more like the chaos knight abominant
new electropriest detachment kind of makes me want to run the full 60 electros but that requires me to find something else to score
In infernal lance that's 12 shots sus1 dev 3flat damage
Wait, did they make them spill over again?
the one thing I do miss about electropriests is that you used to be able to take 20 fulgurites in a brick
which was not good, but was hilarious
they used to have impact mortals too didn't they?
I know they're hella niche in 10th, but did they ever see play at a high level anywhere?
they've gone back and forth on stuff but the big ability they used to have but don't anymore is that when they wipe a unit they got a 3++
Oh hey, lone op gets a range added to it. That's neat
so there was briefly a build in mid-8th where you took 20 and slung them up the board as fast as possible until they contacted a screen and became downright immortal
i vaguely remember the corpuscarii had some nasty combos with unlimited power palpatine stuff
but it wasn't that good, it was just a kind of distraction carnifex
that if you didn't deal with would become way harder to deal with thereon
Knight tyrant giving a cover aura and having a gigantic dev wound gun is suddenly a lot funnier
i would like to one day play a fully themed mechanicus army all about the Motive Force, but not just spam like 3 units
Max squad size is now ten right?
give me like 1 tank and fast mover for electro lads
and a hero, and boom
can play full electro disco
Yeah, the non-skitarii half could use some more units. Though I'm pretty eh on most of the aesthetics of that half in 40k outside the non-electro-priest tech-priests
(though battleclade servitors do look good)
Is this a joke about cameras stealing your soul?
that detachment does look like a fun time
techpriests are quite cheap and you can have a decent number of them
Really mulling things over as I'm in the middle of my admech army building lol
time to invest in electropriests I suppose
hey dark mechanicus has a sliver of a chance at being real in 11th, you never know
though would be nice to get new stuff for votann
They semi-recently got new stuff
But yeah, they and the other new chaos ranges new expansions
Yes
Buy only staples until like, 3-4 months after 11th drops
Everybody rush buying rn is gonna be real egg on face in august
I’m also seeing 3 other rules leak translations that say devs specifically dont spill
So I might’ve just chicken little’d this chat, oopsie doopsie
I suspect it's like they are now then: dev wounds on weapons don't spill, but mortal wounds from other effects do
They might? I had someone mention that the wh+ game mentioned it
But it may be your fear of elves
Those commentators were also fuckin up stuff we know about 11th. I do not respect wh+ commentary
I’m sure they’re lovely people etc etc but I will say 95% of wh commentators are. Very bad at rules
In Skaredcast We Trust
False alarm I found someone who speaks french
No spillover
I figured this was the move at the end of the day. Given how slowly I'm working I probably won't be done with my pile until August anyway
Some good space wolves slander i found
“Name animals to failure” is kinda killing me as an exercise tbh
Well dip me in honey and throw me to the nuns with guns

You know what I was really surprised by with the new 11th detachments? The fact the Votann didn't get a grimnyr related detachment in the same way librarians and tech priests get a detachment
I don't think 10th did a very good job at making grimnyr anything more than a dwarf in a cloak with arbitrary abilities. I was hoping for something to finally explain what they do besides "commune with the Votann"
They're afraid of saying their space dwarves have magic
Are memnyr in the same category? If not, I guess it's somewhat reasonable to not make a detachment around a single character model
GW's still definitely figuring out faction identity for votann
Beyond just "Plays really normal 40k"
They’re a lot better than they used to be!
Everyone thought they were slower tougher marines and thats so decidedly untrue this point
They're like a... point blank shooting army, that's both hyper mobile and super slow
I guess they're hyper mobile until you take their wheels
Their identity right now is "has sick robots" which is honestly fine
They're very close to being a dedicated mechanized army rn
Which is honestly kinda sick imo.
Dedicated mechanized army for sure, short ranged combined arms, and the codex army rule means they’re kind of unstoppable if your gameplan is to take points early and bunker down.
They are best in the game at taking a hill from you, and then never ever letting go
It’s ostensibly Honest Warhammer but you have to develop some very strange play patterns to deal with em and learn how to move fights away from objectives
weirdly you can counterplay them by not objective sitting and by killing their wheels
I do think some of their weapons are weird for their range
but like, it makes mechanical sense
just that a a rail rifle and a rotary gun feel like they should be longer range
It is however, extremely funny they can dump exterminatus level firepower at the volume that they do in these super tall metas
The nightbringer itself walks up centerfield cutting through legions of mortal soldiers and shrugging off ship to ship weaponry
1 Votann Car drives up to the tailgate and hits it with the full force of the sun, the bus driver doesn’t even hit the brakes
I've decided to ditch my Tau Nar in crusade, it's too polarizing. The question is to stormsurge or not to stormsurge
Hey, weird question, I know, but I played 40k like 10 years ago with necrons, and had thought about jumping back in to at least try the mechanicus. I have a simple question: Is there any way to grant a normal (as in, non named) character any kind of regeneration or healing? Back in ye old days most CG units had one but I've been away so long that I kinda get lost looking throgh a modern datasheet
the tyranids have an enhancement that lets you heal in one of their detachments I think? but it's fairly rare (possibly less rare now than it was with 11e around the corner)
Oh I meant in the mechanicus
I know Cawl has self healing, but that's big daddy Cawl, and I usually prefer nameless CGs
Yeah 10e removed all the healing from admech
So its just the enginseer who can heal (they can choose themselves) and cawl who has a rehen
Thank you very much
I guess I could customize a skitarii marshal to say "Yeah, it's totally an enginseer 👀 "
What is CG in this context?
Command group I think?
Ah makes sense
Turns out it's an anchorite shrine without the spikes on the inside
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is the brutal and fast-paced sequel to retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.

Monolith but fast...
Haven't touched the demo but reports indicate it's more of the same which is a little disappointing.
sad to hear that
i played neither of them but i thought folks liked the first one at least
people do like the first one, its a barebones doom-like in warhammer
the second one should kinda be broadly similar, im guessing people were hoping for more features/content or maybe new mechanics in this installment
right
so far the slide and melee make the battle sister feel a little more fluid than blueberry
compared to the first game i mean, idk if he got additions too
I might pick that up just to sister around
you think they'll be best friends?
It's 40k, so probably as best friend as two hyper dogmatic zealots can be
My point of contention with Boltgun is how bullet sponge-y a lot of the enemies are, levels being big but also kinda same-y, and that said level design makes finding enemies annoying because they have a habit of squirreling away in some fuckass corner or pipe.
United in they're purpose to kill loads of stuff at all times
Also that there's little reason to search for secrets because it's the same like 5 of them every level.
No disagreement there, I think the level design was an issue for me too
It's also not a boomer shooter okay it's a Doom 2016 clone, people gotta get this shit right.
Not having played already probably would help it being not totally stale instantly
Probably, but I didn't finish the first one because by chapter 2 I felt I'd seen everything the game had to offer and I wasn't terribly impressed.
Valid
i should not have played on hard, cause it leads to some like... not engaging frustration
where like i hit a checkpoint at 3 hp
You pretty much did tbf
Once you get to nurgle enemies the bullet spongeness ramps up and it stops being fun.
i did like the way it kinda modeled toughness and str
to encourage using the right weapon for the job
Warhammer games prior to vermintide/SM2/Total War were preeeetty much shovelware
whatre you talking about, fire warrior was cough great cough cough
my childhood self loved that shit, but it was not a very good game
SM1 and Dawn of war were pretty good
i think my childhood self was infinitely more accepting of the jank
also yeah, SM1 and DoW were classics
countless hours into dark crusade
heck, dow2 was a completely different experience and still real good
Im thinking that when artis opus mini colour arrives im gonna try and work on my kroot
And play a lil 11e with my kroot
Kroot kroot kroot
erebus boutta have his ereass beat
ive been trying to make blue kroot with some contrast paints
but its not working the way i hoped
Whatcha shooting for
I think if you get a less neutral basecoat then blue gets more interesting
i was trying to get the flesh to look more natural, i did a sort of zenithal and then ive been slowly layering a blue contrast paint on, but its just too thin
Skin picks up a lot of the color of whatever light is hitting it
Natural means you kinda need to decide your light source and highlight towards it, shade towards its opposite
Usually means doing a buncha pink/red undertones on skin and highlight towards ice yellow
well rather than skin tone, remember they're blue chicken men
blue chicken men with off white/pale blue bellies
i think im gonna do orange spines/beaks
New model introduction in 40k has a commanding officer explaining that he thanks the soldiers for their efforts but at this point we're just throwing lives away for a world that is already lost and is no longer even capable of producing anything, so he's arranging evacuation transports for them...
-# ↩ (@lastpositivist.bsky.social)
... that guy is, of course, immediately shot in the back. As he drops dead the next chap steps up and explains that there will be no cowardice, no evacuation, and no surrender. Naturally no actual counter-argument is offered re all the reasons that retreat is rational. Love this setting so much
Setting question, is one of these in particular true
- Most Imperial citizens can read
- Most Imperial Guardsmen are taught how to read when they are inducted
- The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer is actually a picture book
whats the benchmark for 'can read' and does it include some sort of milestone specific to Imperial Gothic
I guess being able to read the primer lol. And probably just low gothic?
Are there different scripts between high and low gothic?
Yes
They are functionally two different languages, though linguistically similar enough
Low-Gothic also covers any non-official language, which is what High Gothic is
And if you go by the RPGs, literacy is a coin-toss afaik
Depending on the system and edition, you may have one literate person, or everyone knowing how to write in low-gothic.
I think outside of like death worlds and feudal worlds reading and writing to a basic degree is fairly common
and if you are inducted into the guard I imagine that they are brought up
They should be brought up, at least the officers
But the Imperium has never been much for education
probably depends alot on how badly needed the regiment is which tends to always be very
Ignorance is strength and all that
Unless you are an orphan 🤔
And you'd think there would be lots of those
Well, that just means you got no outside loyalties
which means you are worth investing in 😌
Have to grab them before they start building their own life
new warhammer + plane animation is fun
In this video I kitbash a custom dropship for my Warhammer 40k converted Inquisitorial Guard army. Its mainly based on the stormwolf gunship (a spacemarine spaceship) but also uses a bunch of parts left over from my other projects.
This is part 1 of 2, in this video I build the ship and next time I'm gonna paint it up, make the base and really...

Lone GSC player here, free best in faction swag bag
Oh, is that why people still play Imperial Agents?
Nah people play Agents now because one guy took them to top 4 at Adepticon.
That's pretty funny
People play agents because the models are cool and it's fun to spit in the eyes of God (GW) by playing the worst faction
Despite entirely warranted funding cuts, the Department of Scrungology is dedicated to the task of educating the public about this rightfully misunderstood genus.

So I got the gsc mirror match
My host of ascension into their biosanctic
Fucking heinous boardstate. Zero fronts. Zero lines of combat. Fourteen madhouse riots every turn. Autopistols are killing 15 models per turn.
Yay, more scrungloids!
My retaliation inyo anything has no lines of combat
Just mysterious holes where things used yo be
What material would folks recommend to use for marking terrain areas in 11th?
It was thinking painted cardboard but it may be too slippery
Cardboard is what GW uses though hmmmm
Just a bit very overly cautious,
Ye, but those are relatively thick
I guess I'll get some use out of my outdated datasheet cards
Evrrything not slippery i can think of is a bit too thick hmmmm
Time for cast iron terrain pieces so they don't slide around easily
Cannot wait for tetanus at the rtt cuz they dont sand the edges
Skill issue smh
Exodite guardian
new edition trailer actually very pretty and well animated
everyone looks great, and we get eldar, crons, Kastelans with their repulsor grids and a big angry titan
Dang, a second trailer?
we also get some shots of Emps on the golden throne
I guess they wanted one not limited to being a box set trailer?
In the 41st Millennium, there is no peace amongst the stars – only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods. Forget the power of technology and science. Forget the promise of progress and understanding. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

Just watched it, actually a pretty good setting primer too
actually a legible teaser for the setting yeah
yeah the narration is not quite as peak as the animation, partly because they keep changing it to remove some of the more confusing parts of the original opening crawl and it doen't scan particularly well
I do like the shot of the dying guardsman flashing into Big E on the throne and back again
I would also like to officially petition for the Admech to get to fight someone other than Necrons at some point
I like fighting necrons but it would be nice to shoot something with meat at some point
maybe Nids
Making exodite guardians for a 2e game nonsense thing
Exodites: why does this high fantasy elf guard have a rifle?
Yeah they should've kept the original final line
There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
(Which is still in, just not used as the last line)
yeah thats been getting cut out of the crawl in newer books, and it just doesn't land right without it
I think most of the edited versions of the crawl just don't hit as hard
it rolls off the tongue soooo well
"master of mankind by the will of the gods" is also better than "in a war between gods" despite the second being more accurate
We gotta get the OG crawl back
belisarius crawl
Yeah apparently that final line was in the OG
this is the tale/these are the tales sounds so silly. at least nowadays idk
What they have is really close but I think the “and for whom blood is drunk and flesh eaten” section is tough as hell and it’s a shame they basically didn’t keep it ever
just cause of shows that did it
I mean I like like that it's silly but nonetheless haha
they did have a subtle nod to it by having blood angels on screen at the time though
And one oft-quoted version inserts another paragraph between the first and second of the original
The "Yet even in his deathless state, [...]" one
I like the "... so that he may never truly die." version of that sentence the most, I think
Blood is drunk factoid is a statistical error. Average person in 40k drinks zero blood. Khorne, the Blood God, who lives in the warp and drinks the blood of unfathomable numbers of intelligent beings is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
The blood drunk and flesh eaten really feels like an example of the setting marching on, Imperium didn't really keep that bit
it does go very hard, but I feel it'd be really confusing to new folks nowadays who thought it was literal
And also SMH still saying it's the 41st millennium, get with the times!
They still eat flesh, it's just been highly processed into corpse starch
(and there are definitely sanctioned cults that drink blood)
I think bringing that up gets you assassinated by the time Inquisition
I am using the calendars provided and will gladly update all my records if given more accurate ones
Some Administratum clerk is going to update a calendar somewhere and doom millions of worlds because now they are all very late on their tithes
I also think there's maybe too much of a whiff of something about Catholicism with that line specifically
Like it's supposed to be more or less metaphorical about the brutality of the Imperium as a theo-fascist pluto-bureaucratic civilizational fail state for all humanity
But it was also written in Britain in the 80s, and there's a lot more semi-direct political commentary, in the 2000 AD fashion, there
Keep reading!
That's what I get for plowing along at work trying to dip into a conversation, my bad
No worries
That said I do actually think that dropping the "But the universe is a big place..." line is one of the positive edits to the original passage, it makes it much punchier to end that one sentence earlier
Agreed, and that line has always felt a little amiss in the context of Warhammer being a miniature war game
Yooooo someone did Eldar justice for once. Seeing some sick protagonist sick ace combat moves where G forces vs a normal human jet fighter? These Eldar were just playing with the humans
yeah its so ace combat shit
you could put latin music over the eldar cockpit scenes and it would fit
Eldar cockpit scenes?
What are we think of tjis head ?
in the new warhammer plus animation
no no i was responding to sevens
Still shocked to see that Games Workshop actually gave the Eldar a win against the Imperium when it comes to promoting Aeronautica Imperialis in this cool sky battle animation. The Eldar are cool again, and they're not the jobers for the Imperium anymore.
#aeldari #eldarii #warhammer #imperialguard #astramilitarum #gamesworkshop #wargaming #40k...
I also love the cuts to the imperial pilots going "wtf is that bs" when eldar perform a weirdo maneuver that would kill a human but also puts the eldar right behind them for a kill
They really waited until the second the pilot ran out of ammo before taking the kill shot the real BM
In the 41st Millennium, there is no peace amongst the stars – only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods. Forget the power of technology and science. Forget the promise of progress and understanding. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.
Pre-order the Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon new edi...
This trailer fuckeds
So hard
I was really worried the gods in the title pf this trailer were gonna be primarchs ngl
For the Eldar it’s just “combat shit”
Also im ngl they timed the “there is only war” thing perfectly
Just saw it
Honestly a good trailer for what I like about war and hammers
Proper battlecudgel representation
getting hit with this in your flying brick thunderbolt
I think even Imperial aircraft have some bullshit AoA limiter stuff in Double Eagle, they're just not eldar-level bullshit
it's mentioned that if you don't at least have sci-fi magic thrust vectoring so you can do i-frame dashes you're dead meat
of course those guys had actually decent equipment and it's very possible that the export-model Thunderbolt can't do any of that
it's explicit that the O.G. model of the lightning strike fighter was way better than the current one, at the cost of only being reasonably pilotable by Space Marines and battle servitors
yeah its basically weird vtol that also has the ability to do wacky hijinks
Digging this depiction of the gods
It's very satisfying to see the Eldar actually get to be flat out better than one of their opponents at something, at least consistently
BIRDMAN
I think that eldar being the best in the air has kinda always been a constant and i wish we saw more in books
I just want more plane books
my favourite Aspect Warriors have always been the ones that choose entire fighter jets as their weapons
sadly planes have sucked for several editions
Yeah, the DEldar are in a similar position
Having probably my favourite single unit in the entire game, the Voidraven, that got be insanely good for an edition and a half or so as kind of the last gasp of viable flyers
Even eldar hover tanks are also wacky in terms essentially being fighter jets is cool as well
I recently learned the actual lore for em and they’re tuff
Now it’s just the rocket launcher skeletons who rule being silly
My favorite depiction of one of the gods is still
I do like the idea that in AoS they are more "real"
while in 40k they are abit more abstract
Yeah AOS lore has khorne physically punching a flying mage city out of the sky and slaanesh wiping out a khorne army with a swipe of their claw
The picture i just posted from soul bound really makes khorne seem like
God's as physical entities works better in AOS when two thirds of them are running around the mortal realms
Completely unassailable
And yet I shall kick his ass
It's a little funny that the trailer is one of the very few modern depiction of the Emperor circa the 42nd millennium.
There's shockingly little official art of him post-Heresy.
Nurgle just looks excited to be here
Its nice to see confirmation he's a rotting decrepit thing
and the image of literal thousands of corpses falling into an hour glass to extend his lfie by moments goes hard
I really like the new trailer. I think it's neat that it has a lot of moments of factions other than space marines doing cool stuff
Seeing the Tyrannids with the massive pool of biomass and dissolving space marines in it while a swarm lord celebrates is sick
Some niche information for those who may make use of it
The datasheet cards you can buy are 7 and a half by 5 inches, allowing you to use your Angron datasheet to make one and a half terrain area markers for 11th edition
Make it an objective and you can have your armies fight over a giant cardboard cutout of Angron
They got the boysssss
I do love the depiction of both a Space Marine getting killed by Guardsmen and also just how long it takes for even like a dozen dudes with las rifles and grenades to take one down
Had his helmet on
I he seems to be standing up after being grenaded last we see him, I think he'll live
We see him standing back up but then getting shot by like six or eight dudes, which seems to be taking him down, but then obviously the rest of his squad shows up to bail him out
yeah
really nice trailer, definitely made me consider getting back into 40k proper with 11th
helps that I might have some actual money to spend around then
I do appreciate that GW seems to be really locking on to what makes 40k work and appeal to people
I feel like it's been sort of a long march back out of the initial Primaris release and a veer into something more heroic/less grimey
yeah its not becoming grimeless its becoming better applied grim if that makes sense
Aura loss is as bad as death really
that man is not hearing the end of that for atleast a century
ah yes the data slate piss taking
I think that's a frag or some kind of exotic grenade, kraks are the kind of thing that does more than cosmetic damage to power armour
if it was a krak it was a bit of a dud one
A dent grenade, then
I am increasingly annoyed at the insistence on depicting las weapons as basically star wars blasters
I do quite like the focus the 'bad guys' get in this trailer
Tyrannids clearing space marines on camera..... GW stocks down 50%,
Looking good for his age really
That trailer seems more grim than they have been for a while?
Though the 10th edition one with Guileman going "yep, we are definitely losing" wasn't terribly happy either
they fly around in interceptor city doing ace combat shit because they're flying around inside a hive city
Im so tired of crabs bro
I want off fulgrim’s wild ride
Faced coterie twice in one tournament
It also helps there's like dozens of minor gods that aren't the big 4 that are as active as the big 4.
Great Horned Rat my beloved beloathed
Isn't that one as about as big as the big 4 now in AoS (putting aside that Slanaash isn't doing so great)
Yeah he’s a Big Cheese now
I was thinking fantasy, but GHR did step up and almost beat chaos in end times like the funny goat he is
Oh, yeah fair
He deserves the spot
Along with Nagesh
I love how awful the gods can be and how like, present and characterized they are
Did the Great Horned Rat mess up his own plans to defeat the chaos gods more fully? It seems like a very Skaven thing to do
Surprisingly not this time, Nagesh ruined their plans iirc
Oh lol
They did get pretty far with their "plan" like blowing up the moon and such
I guess Skaven accidently wrecked Nagesh plans in AoS to compensate
How is that supposed to help 😅
Skaven never help anyone they just make it worse
Free warpstone baybeeeee
I think moon blowing up was an accident I'm not sure, iirc they wanted to mine the entire moon
Also you gotta admit that end times was a bit of a mess but the Steven blowing up the moon was great
And we'll skaven tech happened so it blew up the entire moon and covered the world in warps tone
... is skaven being obessed with warpstone and the moon being made of warpstone a "the moon is made of cheese" joke?
I didn't even think about that
Almost certainly
The absolute longest con by some fantasy writer
I don’t know if it’s been confirmed but I absolutely believe that was the intent
I love how skaven gnaw holes in AoS are like worse webway portals that make warp travel seem as dangerous jaywalking
So dangerous only skaven will use them
They do have the added by product of making both realms more unstable
Which you know a win is a win
Forget undermining cities, now they undermine the material plane
Mostly by accident
Warhammer Fantasy has some of my favorite evil assholes in the setting. Theyre just so unashamedly bad people there's like hardly any redeeming qualities like Nagesh and Skaven
And some of Nagesh's underlings
Kinda what's happened to the realm of fire
What happenedwtih them
With whom
The realm of fire
Oh the skaven have essentially begun terra forming it
It's in the Gunnar brand novel
Seems hard to make a place called "The Realm of Fire" to be worse, but I'm sure the Skaven will manage it
The realm of fire gets a bad rep
The Realm of Fire is actually pretty easy to live in.
You want a place that's hard to live in, you go to the Realm of Life.
Oh, so it's Realm of Fire (comfy)
In some places
Some places are fire fire.
Honestly anywhere else outside of Blight City is safer for the average skaven
As ever, the number one problem in a Skaven's life is going to be other Skaven.
Any skaven within 10 feet of another skaven is not safe
Hey now skyre has ratling guns
And you're not safe within the same zip code as Thanquol
Any skaven within a 1 mile radius of a skyre invention is not safe
Thanquol is a boyfailure
Look Skaven in general are never safe because they will get the desire for shenanigans.
Ironically one of their most deadly weapon to other factions, the ratling gun is one of the safest to skaven
Yeah? You shoot it then
"Safest to Skaven" is a low bar
It's mostly the ratling guns just either jam, overheat, or break in ways that just stop working which is pretty bad but that's pretty safe for skaven as this doesn't directly kill the user
While true the thing you were meant to turn into swiss cheese and is now very much not may have some word's on etiquette
Nor cog forts
Honestly I’m shocked if one can’t go runaway, it just seems like something a Skaven machine gun should do
Is that bad for the user though? Or just anyone near them?
It probably could, but the user doesn't care as long as it doesn't friendly fire them. A few dozen other rats is acceptable cause a bullet hit an enemy
(I am a bit surprised they don't have a chance to explode though)
Best skaven marksman
I mean I’d assume it’s also just kinda spinning around wildly because Skaven
Look a dead skaven now is one that doesn't stab you in the back later
Thats a win in my books
Weeks away from 11th edition I’m in a bit of a lull. I play mostly on tabletop simulator but I don’t know what faction to use meanwhile.
Gotta do some sanding but overall, pleased with the result.
Cut in just 3 pieces too, so a lot less assembly than expected. Though some parts were only barely attached (like the engines) but nothing some glue didn't fix.
SM2's take on it is my favorite. one really fast burst of plasma cone.
Whoa already
"That’s not all of the rules we’re sharing from the Armageddon box here on Warhammer Community. We’ll have the Ork and Space Marines datacards from the box ready to download later this week."
They mentioned they were releasing the core rules last week! Though, if you don't have access to the new missions or deck, are you really playing 11th 🤔
Are they releasing the mission decks at the same time as the new edition box, or is that later?
I imagine so
Probably week after
I'm getting the mission decks split out
Bababa
Starter has mission decks
I wonder if they will add the rotational movement costs back into the game or if they decided it wasn't worth it
I'm doing up old school for a 2e game hahaha
I'd scheduled a 4 player game this weekend like months ago and now they've released these new rules but without the army rules with them lmao
And as has been mentioned, no missions
Also where the heck are the bookmarks in the core rule pdfs
they are not there
Just play with the 10th edition rules this weekend tbh
I don't think it is necessarily bad to release the rules before the official launch, even if it feels weird (someone on the internet speculated it is due to the leaks of the french rulebook)
yeah this is kinda clearly more of a "here have this to get used to the core rules before it gets fully released"
Yeah we'll stick with 10th
It's gonna be a bit of cluster fuck since none of us have really played any time recently
Gonna use the rules for 4 player free-for-all from the Malestrom books
huh, I guess damage is not fast-rolled still
100% this release is for TOs to start briefing themselves on changes
Nobody else should sweat
Oh, huh. There is no terrain category that blocks infantry (etc.) movement
There wasn't in 10th either
I thought things like non-ruin buildings/hills did?
(in that you had to at least climb them)
I guess theoretically, though I never once saw someone play with anything like that
I have, just because I happen to have some terrain that best represented that sort of stuff
I would honestly have liked terrain like that. just a simple movement blocker.
Did they change how fnp works with fast rolling?
Though I guess the terrain being entirely solid means you still have to climb it if you cannot move through the whole feature in a single move.
I can't look at the moment
It's unchanged
afaik the changes to fast rolling is how to allocate save rolls when using different profiles
Yeah, they didn't change fast-rolling for damage (unless they got rid of variable damage weapons, which I doubt)
Ah alright
How it works (from my quick-quick-quick reading) is that you make the saves in groups of the same profile first, then you order them, lowest to highest, working your way in the following order until there is no saves left to make:
- Wounded Non-Character Models
- Non-Character Models
- Wounded Character Models
- Character Models
The new save allocation really does suck for squads with a single 4++ or such
Didn't it already do that if it was the leader with the good saves?
Apply the Wounds until there aren't any in your current allocation group, and then continue into the next.
It wasn't formalized afaik
I'm talking like squads with one dude with a shield that isn't a character
Yeah, in those situations you make the 4+ unit a separate group but you can decide where in the order they are
You do make it a separate group but you can't make multiple groups of the rest of the unit to do like chaff>shield>special weapons>leader
Yeah no, that's still tough
You either hope you roll well enough that the Defender soaks enough if earliest or there aren't too many low rolls if later
However, this clears out Precision SO WELL
I still don't know how it works, properly
It is worse for hiding behind the shield guy. But good for characters
Precision is weird because it can result in an overall increase in damage
(because the low saves can kill the character, and then the higher saves can wipe the bodyguard)
I don't hate that, actually
It's weird that it is an increase in damage. But there isn't really any other way for it to work
Weird way to do things:
It’s presumably to avoid invalidating old datasheets?
Yeah
I think the confusion kinda came up with the twin lances too
Cause they have pistols that arent [pistol]s and non pistols that are [pistol]s
Just errata them GW >:|
I find it weird its in the core rules, mostly
I think this is a more elegant way of refactoring the name tbh
I feel like they should have split the "can be used in close combat" from the "can only select CC or normal weapons", but w/e
Afaik that's a balance thing, so units which pack a sidearm suddenly don't double their fire-rate just because they didn't have a second (or even third) keyword
I mostly mean conceptually they are different effects. So you could have a close quarters and sidearm keyword. Then pistol would just say they have both as the refactor
But I would also do the same thing with blast, but clearly GW doesn't consider it worth it
Oh i would definitely do that, but if you were playing Eldar, you'd have pistols which would have three keywords across the board
I think that's not a big deal?
It ain't, but also not a real issue since the game is balanced around sidearms either being a last resort or only options
I think there are game design positives to unrelated rules that are always linked
Fwiw
Alternatively, clearly what they should do is have you choose one ranged weapon per model by default and use extra attacks if you want to use more
Pshaw
No its very intuitive that guns and close combat work opposite each other for no real reason
lol
That's fair, but I guess it's easy for me to imagine things that would have these properties be unlinked that would exist in universe
Though the close quarters effect of being exclusive doesn't even apply to vehicles
I dont necessarily think that pistol is a good example though haha
I think more for blast you do get some amount of flavour from it
Blast is a bit better, yeah. Though partly I want it separated because "Danger-Close" would be cool sounding
De nesting rules is often pretty good at the same time though its a tricky balancing act
On that matter I think they shouldve split devestating wounds when they nerfed it!
Cause I feel like some weapons want spillover but could leave ignoring saves
And were given devastating wounds for that reason originally
Cleave would have been a good name for that instead of melee-only blast
Mhm!
It wouldn't even be hard to introduce a "Splash" keyword
Dev wound spillover was crazy strong on basically anything it applied to so I don't see them bringing it back
I would love to do something crusade-esque with PilotNet peoples over TTS
I would also love to do that with pilotNet peoples in real life, but there are limits
im looking forward to what they are gonna do with crusade
Afaik it's a simpler system than 9th/10th
That sounds fun
I’m a little overwhelmed by the prospect of tts 40K
I find tts kill team bad enough and it has way fewer pieces lol
TTS 40k is fine right up until there's a raised platform or you need to do tricksy movement
you do gotta accept the limitations
The number of pieces aren't the issue imo
It's the number of units and multi-weapon units
I've done far more 40k in TTS than any other game, but it is honestly a good time
Also what Turtlini said, you need the mouse control of a cat in a barn to move units quickly and without breaking fifty rules
In 11th edition related news, the index era datasheet cards can be cut and taped into terrain area with little effort
In related news, I need more masking tape
<————fought nemo’s recon guard in TTS last week
Its Bad
Host vs Recon
Finally, an affordable game board 😌
Megamam?
Wheres the oversized ape flinging barrels 😵💫
goliath ganger
I don't know if this helps, but i've found hte community tools, the Forge, the 10th edition base board, and yellowscribe (built into the forge) to be very useful to simplify things
Those are 100% the only reason you can really get it going
Without it you kinda have to do a LOT of hand held record helping
I will say that Yellowscribe and the 10th Edition Table are a must
It goes from Agonies to Ease
psycho wizard eater almost done
ooo, very cool
I think that's just a normal Mars pattern warlord unfortunately
double belicosa, shoulder turbolasers
someday they'll animate my favourite titan, the Warbringer
I like it both because it's an efficient midsized battleline unit and because it has AA guns with an upper deck big enough to put crew on
Why can the Earth Caste not design good ankles on anything bigger than a Ghostkeel?
damn the new 40k rules are wild
Woah bringing it back to the 2e rules
kissing
Reminds me of magic the gathering.
Doing upkeep and cleanup steps.
Horsie!
For pride month the most lesbian thing around, dinosaur riding space elf lady knight
:p
Every button
That rocks
Not sure how to put into exodites
Shining Spears/Shroud Runners
Or Warlock Skyrunners?
(As the base models, not sure how you run they/them dinos)
do you think she gives nicknames to her mounts? .w.
Yes
I mean ruleswise
These are for 2e
So Dragon Knights
I only knew that expedites had the Dragon Riders, and I don't know if they use regular eldar rules
Or what units eldar had at that edition
They are a codex unit
finally, Corvus Corax confirmed
I played the boltgun 2 demo and the novelty didnt really last a whole level yeah
weird question, for those of yal with experience, but is 3d printing something that is approachable for an older person who's hands arent so steady these days for things like model cars and such? A little off topic I know, but i've seen some of yall print vehicles in here so im curious
thinking about maybe exploring that as a gift idea for my dad
3d printinf as a hobby?
You mean?
I eeer hmmmm
yeah i suppose, for printing like, not 40k minis but like... other types of models
planes, cars, etc
i figure he can make em bigger than he can buy em
which will be good for his hands
I dont like treating 3d printing as a silly hobby theres a lot of safety things you gotta do
Biggest thing I’d worry about is maintenance since esp with resin printers cleanup can be grueling
Otherwise I think it’s a pretty good hobby
Kind of a lot of things with resin honestly
A buddy of mine had a resin printer and it does great harm to the human spirit
probably easier to research local print shops and just show him out to find STLs to be printed
Oh and check in on FDM, I always suggest a camera and remote shut off cause you don't want your blob burning filament for like 8 hours while you're away from work
It won't like combust but it's superheated plastic for hours on end insulated by a mass of plastic probably not good what goes into the air
Eh, safer than a lot of other hobbies (especially if you only do FDM)
FDM is probably the way to go for larger vehicles, because you can usually just size it up in a slicer software to whatever arbitrary size you want.
It is but also my experience has been people under-respecting the safety
Resin I find is quite simple, much easier than when I ran FDM. You do have to be careful with like not spilling resin everywhere and wear gloves but it's not that bad
FDM is better for bigger models that don't have tiny details (vehicles and especially buildings)
That's fair
Also anything that could be knocked over, id be worried about resin terrain whereas FDM terrain is probably a brick by comparison
I am surprised you found resin simpler than FDM. But is it that you don't need to do nearly as much work dialing in the settings?
FDM is also way less toxic if you're just printing with PLA. Less cleanup involved, no nasty chemicals (except ABS).
My settings kepted being undialed cause I ran a bunch of bad ender 3s
Big warning is having a room you can vent and have complete control of access to
My ender 6 was beautiful
Oh resin is practically plug-and-play, you can get any resin printer and it will work out of the box with little to no dialing in.
And my knockoff prusa mini clones
There's a lot of "but..." when it comes to resin tho, as explained above.
That makes sense
Most of the bad stuff I’ve heard about resin is cleanup and fuming
When a resin print fails though you might not know about it until it's done. FDM you can check real-time and stop it without wasting much material (usually).
I had mines in an DIY enclosed IKEA LACK with a hose outlet venting out the window
FDM material is much cheaper (though this knowledge might be out of date)
Both have pluses and minuses, basically. For me FDM works just fine for most applications, and I have a friend with a resin printer so if either one of us needs something we got it covered.
I had also one of these bad boys for tall prints and it was so sick watching them print I could watch them for hours
They style of printer definitely is cool looking
Nah, still valid. A 2.2lb roll costs $10-12, which is cheaper than resin which goes between $15-18.
That's a lot narrower of a gap than it used to be though
iirc it used to be like, double
Oh yeah definitely.
That's for standard resin, ABS-like is a couple bucks more but the difference is pretty minimal.
though, I think you have a bit more waste with resin prints to complicate things?
Soooo that depends!
ABS isn't really needed for miniature models. Unless it's like, a RC plane or something lol
Resin printing usually needs supports so you're wasting resin on that, though you can recycle them for terrain since they're cool scaffolding bits.
Ah, I thought the liquid left over was lesser quality that you want to be careful about reusing
FDM may need supports, and it depends on the file itself. So filament can be wasted on that (but for tree supports you can recycle those for terrain)
You'd need probably as much support with FDM depending on your cooling fans which can be modded
I mostly printed simple things (e.g. buildings) that didn't need supports
Oh the liquid can be reused most of the time. At best you might have to drain it through a filter.
Resin is also like a lot more streamlined if you have even a cheap wash and cure device
What I want is consumer level laser sintering. But that sort of dust is probably way worse than the resin issues lol
Oh definitely.
I had some cheap photon wash and cure from black Friday sales when they came out and they were like $120 for both machines together
I'm sure it's like double that now
Depends on that too. Like a model with a spear? Yeah probably go with ABS-like, or anything with more thin/fiddly details so shit doesn't snap off. It's more durable overall and when the cost difference is like, a buck or two? Why not.
Oh, that's fair
(though the additional cost is probably more in that ABS is more annoying to print with than PLA)
If it's a mini I tend to go resin if they have a spear, gun, small arms, the flexibility means it's less likely to snap
hmm ok so its not a thing he can just pick up and do, but with some self education its a solid maybe, if he wanted to
and it would potentially meet his needs, either resin or fdm, with an asterisk
he is not working atm, and i know he wanted to get back to modeling
Well I'm talking resin here, not FDM.
ABS for FDM is a whole other fucking thing.
It's more pickup and do than it was, but yeah, you should view 3d printing as a hobby: and the effort that implies
but he's discouraged by his lack of steady hands nowadays, so i was trying to think of things that might encourage him
Yea it's not entirely plug and play yet, learning a bit about goes a long way
Ooooh. I didn't know that was an option for resin printers
he has some model ships he wants to build but he's not confident he actually can anymore, which is a bit heartbreaking
I will say steady hands might come into play for FDM for unjamming a nozzle
hes not a full time train modeler, but he comes from that line of the hobby, rather than wargaming minis
https://www.amazon.com/ELEGOO-UV-Curing-Photopolymer-Toughness-Precision/dp/B0CTGZD2HW?th=1 It is! Friend of mine with the resin printer likes to use it because it's just overall tougher.
hes not like deep in teh sauce, but he's got a lot of more practical experience doing those kinds of techniques and paints
If your FDM nozzle gets jammed you have to stick a little pipe cleaner up the nozzle while it's hot to push the clogging material out
doing old ww2 planes and classic cars n boats n stuff
Does he have any experience/education/training as an engineer? There might be some skills he could transfer there, especially if he's ever used CAD.
yeah he does, though many years hence
Resin requires like no fine handling at all really
like as an electrical engineer in the 80's i think, or 70's
Lol, what does "ABS-like" really mean? But I guess this explains it, not literally ABS but basically the same thing?
Aaah okay, well there's some skills there that might transfer for maintenance and such.
Yeah not literally ABS but it's a tougher, slightly more flexible resin. Great for miniatures honestly, less risk of things snapping off if they fall over.
ABS-like resin 3.0 is engineered for high strength, impact resistance, and toughness. The printed models can withstand drilling holes and certain impacts, maintaining their structural integrity and resisting deformation, ideal for functional prototypes, mechanical parts, and industrial parts.
The drilling holes part is important because I've had to do that for pinning and such, and normal resin will often snap unless you're being really slow and careful. Not so much with this stuff.
But, to bring it back to your dad: see if any of the local libraries have 3D printers, it can be a very cost-effective way to find out if he likes working with those. There might be a maker's club/market around town too.
Shame about how resin is the tradeoff between great detail and “damn, that shit really do be toxic”
Yeeeaaah.
yeah resin is no joke
And yeah I’ve made a ton of use of my library’s 3D printers, to the point the person running it knows me on sight
I'd like a resin printer but I have no means of venting the fumes. I can print PLA just fine because my FDM printer has an enclosure, but I couldn't print with ABS due to lack of a means to vent the fumes (which is toxic).
Wear a dust mask when cutting, filling, etc with resin
And clean up your workspace
I dont even trust the fumes from PLA printers hahaah
However great material aside from the caveats
Honestly same with any sanding, period.
Its /probably/ fine
Generally don’t trust the fumes off anything tbh
But also no
Yeah silicosis is no joke, wear respiratory protection when doing anything creating fine debris
PLA fumes will sustain me
Basically any form of thing that’s making dust wear a mask
PLA puts off very low fumes, and this mostly gets caught in the enclosure. ABS I wouldn't fuck with.
i should probably use a mask while working on models really but i at least keep my window open when i have open containers of toxic chemicals
It’s a lil inconvenient but for basic stuff just a N95 or what not will do fine
mhm
aiui. The concern with PLA isn't direct toxicity but more that any small scale particles probably aren't good for you
Yeah. Which again, enclosure, don't let that shit print out in open air.
You only need a respirator when you’re doing either a huge amount of dust or really fine dust/fumes
i do a fair bit of sanding when i work with plaplate on my models, which generates a bit of dust
i try to cut pieces to shape as much as possible
Yeah wear a mask and just clean up after yourself
Wet sanding also helps reduce dust particles, but I'd only do that for fine-grit sanding.
Which I finally grabbed some 400-grit so I think I can finally smooth out that warhound titan today.
yummy plastic dust
when i was making my BJD i did do mostly wet sanding since i was doing so much sanding
on my model kits it's usually quite small pieces, so i don't worry as much
I tend to not bother with sanding most of my prints but for large curved surfaces I want that nice smooth look.
that's fair
Especially buildings, like...no need to sand down some ruins, it'll look better if it's a touch crusty.
i wanted my BJD to have a nice finish to her which is why she ended up getting sanded, other stuff i've 3d printer hasn't needed it much
Oh it totally makes sense to make that nice and smooth.
though tbf most of the stuff i've printed really would benefit from being resin prints anyway but that's a whole different problem
Smallest model I've printed is a dreadnought and depending on what type you can get some decent results.
she does have a few patches of print lines in various places simply because i thought it'd make her look quite unique and be a good reminder of how she was made, but overall she has quite a smooth finish
fair enough
Oh hey I remember that mildly horrifying thing
my lovely BJD, she sits on my desk
Very nice print job
have yet to figure out a name for her
Like, fairly solid results for the four Furibundus types I printed. But they have smooth surfaces without much detail.
do need to work up the energy to work on her more, she deserves eyes and clothes
The Unnamable One
Are these counts-as for something in 40k or a different system?
Count-as dreads, they're remakes of the very original dreadnoughts.
she's kinda discoloring a little bit so she does really need some paint also
Oh man I’d forget about those goofy fellas
before Dreadnoughts were tombs of the dead
I love them. So goofy.
ngl low-key my second fave dreadnought design after the Contemptor
This is an old style walking hero version/remix for my personal army. I have not modelled any parts of it, but have edited them from existent materials from this great modeller:
Basic walker: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4457573?fbclid=IwAR0cVxFglgpXzBafWhOjt1cAp4FCwbb3Sy70N2r5g8NmzghHpsxnTURQVA (MifflesMakes)
The rest, the machine god only...
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/rt-furibundus-chuck-contemptor-dreadnought There's a much more detailed (but not-free) version that has a lot more poseability.
This model is a modern version of the old RT Contemptor dreadnought, it brings the rule of cool to your table top.
My recommendation if you usual magnetize weapons' would be to print the shoulder plate, shoulder and weapon glue them together. The reason for this is so you can swap that whole section for a different weapon, in the process you ca...
It's also bigger, closer to a contemptor, which I think would work well for a Primaris army.
Just a fella named Chuck 😌
good news everyone, GW has broken GSC army rule and mandated a rewrite for the 6th time in 3 years
What did they do this time?
with leaders counting as models in the unit rather than Attached, you can never cult ambush units that were attached at all. Cult Ambush checks on model by model basis to respawn the unit, they have to all have the keyword
this pretty much kills every detachment besides host of ascension
oh, lol
