Honestly Queen is still like, the worst of them in terms of actions, she's just also pretty chill with the party.

King speaks grandiosely but I think it's partially larping. He never even met the Knight, idk if I'm gonna seriously judge him for his 'kingdom of darkness revenge fantasy'.

He still did fight & lock up the other kings and then act pretty dickish to Card Kingdom.

There's also this mention in the first two chapters of King and Queen growing bolder since the fountain appeared (+ the internet outage in Queens case), so there might also be some mental effect with 'Too much darkness' or something.

That she commits to this idea, broadly, is really important!

You can't separate Susie's care for Darkners, her trying to communicate & sympathize with them, and her hope against the prophecy. It's all the same thing.

I kinda popped off but it's a minor pet peeve to see people go on about how Susie is the best ever (<- true) and then immediately turn around and say some shit she Would Not Agree With.
