If you pressed the remote button under the raid announcement and it says signup received then you are good and you just have to wait on the raid host to invite you. The only bad thing at the moment is the amount of people trying to sign up for certain raids right now might take you a while because the chances of them inviting you are slim.
Like right here it is hosting 10 ppl but 108 signed up. It says sign up received but I probably won’t be able to get into this raid because there’s 107 other people trying to do it too.

did u manage to relog and catch it? Generally, as long as the raid is still available in the gym, you should be able to reclick on the invite u were sent and get the encounter
if not, message the live chat and contact niantic, sending a message sayiing u lost a raid pass due to game crash, they should refund the remote pass

For joining you just click on the button at the bottom of a post and if you are chosen (random selection) you will need to add the trainer code of the host. You can use /htc to find it in the lobby. Once you have sent a request you can Type ready in the thread to show that you are ready. The host should use /go to indicate when they are starting to send invites in game that you will join and then you just do the raid

IVs can not be changed except in certain scenarios. You can trade pokemon to reroll the IVs, it won't always increase them. The only way to increase IVs is to purify a shadow pokemon, which isn't always recommended.

In most instances, yes. It depends on your play style. I don't know the intricacies of it in regards to PvP, you could get more information in #pvp-chat . A lot of people say that a 0-0-0 IV Shadow pokemon is stronger than a 15-15-15 (perfect) IV purified pokemon.
Mega evolutions also play a role.

You can battle a friend and ask them to set you up with 3 psychic or ghost types. I believe it’s each one you defeat so if they do 3 of one type, you just need 10 sets. I usually just take my hubby’s phone and set a battle up against his lowest cp of that type to knock it out fast. It doesn’t impact their GBL ranking so it doesn’t really hurt them and increases your friendship level at same time.

every mon u defeat of the typing counts towards the quest, its not a once per battle thing

Making the colour/team of the gyms should be mandatory when hosting imho, the 2extra balls are appreciated, like I can’t join a raid to ask and leave the lobby if its the wrong team, its very easy to add anyways, would be QOL update
