All 3 of them are available through the Asterite Shop, but you can choose Sugary Starburst here as she is not only the best option of the 3 for the early game, she is also an outdated ice support so not a bad choice for supporting any Ice-type Elysia (Miss Pink Elf is physical and that's where Sugary Starburst wouldn't work until SS where she applies Total DMG taken on enemies, a buff that's beneficial for every type of teammate).

For the other 2 ice elysias (HoHe and HLE) she will work as soon as S rank

and the other two are just there to enable them

Eh, not really? It's not neccesarily worse, either, tho

the reason thelema works as a sub DPS is almost all of Hohe's damage is in Stellar Outburst

so you go Hohe to DPS in stellar outburst and go Thelema to DPS in ARC

this means having thelema is a huge improvement for Hohe teams (and also thelema helps you stellar outburst faster which is also big)

but other valkyries like say HLE have their damage as a more even split so they do most of the dps either way and are more self sufficient

Anyway it's wrong to say support damage doesn't matter, especially in rings like LoA

Sadly that is mostly correct except p1 valks are so old they are at the point where it's extremely rare to see a p1 banner so you can't even get a good p1 team by whaling, it's a very time consuming process

it's just that your DPS is still doing most of the damage either way so it's only a difference of a few points

but if you're say using Badum on a fire boss, FDD benefits as a support because she's also fire so her stellar shift is doing more damage

And if your DPS was doing less damage than your supports you would usually want to make that support the DPS instead

Not as much as you'd think? It's more a question of how damage works

like, one of HLE's bosses is Ice Epernay. This means there's an ice weather (ice battlesuits do more damage) and it's an SD enemy (SD battlesuits do more damage)

so if HLE normally does 100% power, she's now doing 100* 1.3 * 1.3 = 169% power, and then also has some useful SD mechanics

so she's buffed for this boss relative to PAWS, who is a lightning Bio battlesuit

I understand now why sometimes in gameplay help people talk about weather, it makes sense

If your support can match one of the weather's benefits, they can do more damage

So on an ice boss, HoHe does a bit more damage than normal when supporting HLE

but usually your supports are buffed less by the weather than your DPS, or else you'd be using the support as a DPS instead

and sometimes you just don't have supports that benefit from the weather, or you have some reason you need to use a support (like on said Ice epernay, you might want FDD for breach and Badum for SD utility, but they're both fire battlesuits so their damage gets decreased)

which can make the gap bigger

This is because usually Hoyo will run more weathers for the new battlesuits. For instance, since this is HLE's release patch, there's a lot of ice weather and SD enemies and symphonic weather with ice weak enemies and such

whereas someone like Badum who is 4 patches old might only have 1-2 bosses this patch

so you're benefitting more from pulling a new battlesuit and they cost the same crystals

This isn't to say older battlesuits can't compete - often times, there's one best option for a boss and then 2-3 more okay options you can use that are a little less good for it

it's just that for efficiency newer releases are more bang for your buck

broadly speaking, when it comes to competitive HI3, the important factors are

• Knowing how to play the game
• Having the right team to support a batllesuit
• Having the right dps for the boss
• At least not having the wrong dps for a boss
• Everything else (ranks, astral ops)

Yes, luckily helia and coralie were farmable and on the banner so i got them both to sss, and its the best (and only) team i have

so if you have Senadina and you have her team and you know how to use her that gets you pretty far, and then since Senadina is SD type nothing type counters her so she's rarely outright the wrong choice, so even tho she's old she can still function okay in lower abyss

and like, that's an example of second best options

HLE is an SD battlesuit, so Hoyo will run SD enemies to shill her

Senadina is also an SD battlesuit though!

so she also benefits from this, just not as much

Likewise as a lightning battlesuit Sena might also be able to benefit a bit from paws shill, but probably can't benefit much from FDD shill which focuses on fire damage and ignite and mech

if I have Paws + FDD + HLE, I can put HLE on any SD shill or ice shill, I can put FDD on any fire shill or mech shill, Paws on any lightning shill or bio shill, and then I might not have the best option for everything but I have the second or third best option for a lot of things

Typically speaking, every battlesuit can support and dps. The dps is whoever you put as the leader, the support is everyone who isn't. So if you had say Senadina + thelema, then you would put Senadina as the leader and thelema as the support in Lightning or SD shill, and Thelema as the leader and sena as the support in ice or mech shill

Yes. Typically there's a few cases like this

the first is straight powercreep, like how thelema straight up powercreeps HoR or FDD powercreeps Sirin, and the new battlesuit is the better version of the old one at ~everything

the second case, though, is where supports come in

HLE might be better than Badum at some SD bosses, but that means that if you have Badum and not HLE you can use Badum as youre "second best option" and if you have both you use HLE + badum and it's even better

For instance in current abyss, the best team is Horb dps. But if you don't have horb, you might instead try Reign Solaris, who is physical like Horb, Or Hohe, who is psychic like horb, or Hi Love Elf, who has a summon like horb; however, if you have Horb + HLE, then you can get Horb and also the support benefits from the weather

most of P2 teambuilding is looking at the boss and looking at what you have and then figuring out the best combination of battlesuits and then rotations to get the best score you can

hey, sorry. I was distracted when you asked this. If you want to use your XP or your gear xp or such, go ahead and spend them freely, they're easy to get more of

some other resources like Prisms or Honkai Shards though, on the other hand, are rarer, so you want to save them for your most important purchases

in general at level 20 there's not much you can do that will brick your account other than wasting crystals on bad banners

but if there's something you only have a little of then you might want to make sure you don't need it for something more expensive instead

that's basically what you'll need to make a team with HLE as the lead

as a weaker alternative, Rite of Oblivion valks kinda work but come without ring specific abilities
