If you’re shading, there’s one slight change that you should probably make on the top of the head that helps make shading easier

and overall to keep your sketches clean avoid chicken scratchy or shaky lines

ghosting and drawing from the shoulder are just ways to achieve that

for example, if you have a smaller tablet you can draw with your wrist and ctrl z a line until you get one that's acceptable, instead of ghosting it

if you're going for something more realistic you're not going to see a waist too much smaller than the ribs and pelvis, maybe an inch or an inch and a half on each side at most for someone skinny this is due to floating ribs and organs. There are extreme cases in skinny people but thats very rare.

well for me, i just test out the type of color i want to use that is darker than the one i use

but set it on multiply also work too

you can set the color in multiply layer with high R/G/B then slowly lower it till it get to the color you like

if you want, you can use color picker on that Yae's pic
