IMO this is a big misconception...

What a lot of people never bring up is how P2 hasn't handled MSQ like P1/1.5 did ever since Ch 4, rather than having an arc conclude in 3-4 patches with multiple phases during said patches (and the chapters themselves being ~7-10+ hours long each), the arcs are now ~8 patches long (similar to how HSR handled Amphoreus) with the entire story being released at once (no more phases), and chapters are a lot shorter (~2-4 hours long each)

This brought a lot of improvements like much better pacing, much better presentation, etc

But on the same token we have to wait longer for MSQ characters because well, the MSQ itself takes longer to come out (as an example, they couldn't release PAWS during 8.1/8.2 because it was far too early for that, we hadn't seen PAWS do anything in the story up to that point, by 8.3 when we had she already released

Same with Dragon Coralie, she couldn't release before she did because well, she hadn't gotten that form yet)

So the answer is to instead just release P1 units set either in 1.5, or an AU which is exactly what P1/1.5 did w/Captainverse / etc (just not as often because of what I said, MSQ was handled differently back then)

Another thing is that people for some reason have this idea that Hi3 is HSR in that they expect almost every character to become playable when that was never the case...

they show results of the game from x years ago (example 2023) and claim that the game is dying because the revenue isn't the same
instead of just doing some calc between then and now or just showing the data to people
those who just show the data are fine

Team members have in large part disappeared from livestreams, with voice actors replacing their roles on stream.

IP (story) team members for example haven't appeared since 2024.

Promises from early part 2 like stating they'd finish updating the rest of the UI have been brushed aside and never mentioned. Same for the permanently delayed documentary.

There has yet to be any explanation for the increasingly cut content (starting from 7.7), longer patches (... 8.1) or reduced socials activity (...8.2).

Of all the hoyo teams, hi3 team is the most silent when they used to be the most vocal.

probably unrelated to the convo by now but spreading stuff like "the game is dying" and "eos soon" will discourage ppl (either new player, returnee or active player) to bother with the game as a whole

We're long past that point, but there has been type of criticisms which if they're were listened to just a little bit earlier, part 2 would have much better initial reception (instead of improving later), and this convo wouldn't take place. Now, the glb community has very little influence anyway, so it probably wouldn't make a difference, but it did kind of actively try to de-legitimise those points before

there has been some sus decision on the game as well that left ppl confused too, it would be nice if we can get clarification about it too so ppl don't have to theorize what is actually happening

i see... maybe they don't want to be vocal about most of the negative things, because it might cause an even bigger decline if they do not point out possible solutions.

Perhaps they also still want to work on all of these things, but most who were involved moved to other projects, leaving a trail of unfinished business.

Either way, it's a shitty situation for both Hoyo and the players. If they talk without direct plans, same thing will happen like at the start of part 2 with unfinished promises. The best we can do is hope that they start becoming more communicative again and we should remain vocal about our wishes.
