There are zip files that need unzipping in the video folder (happens every update I've had), you may also need to delete the register in registry editor to fix it. Only download the HD pack, don't download all.

Redownload the game and follow those steps again if it doesn't work - you're looking for 'verifying' after you do the initial update, restart and the final redownload HD

I dont think you need to touch the registry at all. Try this instead:

1. Navigate to your installation folder (normally C:\Program Files\Honkai Impact 3rd\Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets)
2. Rename your Video folder to something else (E.g. Video1
3. Launch the game and choose the minimum file size download when Prompted. Another folder called Video should be generated
4. Copy the Video folder somewhere else you have edit permission (E.g. Desktop)
5. Unzip all your .zip files into the same folder
6. Move the Video folder back to its original location
7. Launch the game again

You may also move everything in the Video folder into Video1 and overwrite any duplicates, and then rename Video1 to Video to regain all your previous downloads

I was stuck on the ~37k file download after everything that was suggested and found a fix for it. You have to unzip those files that the game is downloading and then individually move their contents into the Video file. Once I had everything moved from the folders into the Video folder, it went to verifying and then I was able to log in.
If you use 7zip, here's what I did:

1. Moved all unzipped folders related to 4.7 into a folder that also contained another folder.
2. Pull up the "7zip File Manager" and go to the directory that contains all of the folders that you moved (7zip cannot move files if they are in the HI3 Folder)
3. Click the View dropdown at the top of the program, and select "Flat View"
4. Highlight all of the files, click "Move" and then type in the name of the extra folder that is created at the end of the directory.
5. Enter the extra folder and move everything back into the Video Folder

I could be wrong but I think this might also help anybody who is stuck at the 0% download

those are the game settings, you might lose a few custom settings you made, but nothing game breaking. Everything will be back there once you relaunch the game, it will recreate the settings

Yes, some of the files fail to download, there are 2 methods that people use to fix it: a 3rd party launcher or doing it by hand

unity handles it seperately and only captures the content to display on a seperate layer ...

also not a good idea to delete everything... stores your credentials afaik

thats why i was looking at finding the equivalent of clearing game cache on PC as u can do on droid

So i tried to solve the issue again on my second computer without touching the registry and i made some interesting observations:

1: I renamed my orginal folder to Video1 (>3 gb) before initiating the patch. The replacement Video folder generated is about 200 MB
2: Renaming the new folder in (1) to Video2 and relaunching the game gave another video folder with size about 100 MB
3: Extracting all the zip files in this new folder and launching the game with the new video folder in (2) lead to the verification step and fixed the game.
4: Renaming the video folder in (3) to Video3 and using the folder Video1 (after renaming it to Video) still gives a running game

Hypothesis: There is nothing wrong with my original video file (Video1) and the bug is somewhere in the pipeline for a once-off verification of the game files?
