Voice chat in-game, that mean it use phone microphone, is not always the most clear, like if someone use discord phone microphone vs a PC microphone you hear the difference xD.
I like the self-roles too, but the current way of doing it is pretty cool too since is way more visual, and don't need to click on people name (unless you make both server roles different color, then it would be visual).
The other good thing about self-roles, is to be able to HL every members in that roles, but of course some people might get annoy by that.

I think the whole point of the roles is to quickly, at a glance see which server people are playing on for coop purposes, server specific discussions, etc.. The roles aren't forced either so, like Roflcakes mentioned people fro SEA or other versions they might be playing can be join the conversation aswell. Imo, this is the approach we could possibly want for now. May change if/when we get more traffic, but time will tell

Global emotes arent a thing u can just simply "turn on." You have to get nitro or have gamewisp which requires people to "subscribe" to get more emotes

First of all, there is an #discord-announcements channel for putting up announcements.
Players would just go there and have a look.
If you urgent need let everyone know ASAP, then ping should be used.
Anything unimportant just announce normally in #discord-announcements, we would go through the announcements once a while.
The way you ping for random unimportant announcements, you forcing players to mute everything. (Think of mobile users getting ping but for something not important).

For Armada spreadsheets, we did think of that initially and were discussing a better way to manage the channel. The amount of Armada recruiting seems stable enough to not overwhelm a sheet.
Abyss channel, not sure. We already received confusion with the addition of more discussion channels. Might not want to risk more separation but we can see. Plus true Abyss runs just started so people are really heated up for it until the hype on it dies down.
For reviews or advice, I think that would be better to just ask others in #💁gameplay-help or look at YouTube videos. Things like that can be very subjective and lots of arguments can potentially break out if just a couple people run things like that.

Since they’re game announcements, they are quite important and that’s a huge part of why people would join here so everyone pings on that are fine. So having a separate role for it wouldn’t be so good, it is more hassle for players.

I've noticed that the staff occasionally comes around to ask for feedback on what people like. I think it might be worth adding a feedback channel for players to give feedback on what we like from recent patches. Even the small stuff.
For instance, the fact that you can now scroll in some textboxes that you previously couldn't like weapon descriptions is greatly appreciated by me at least. Also, the change of angle for today's event stage for Sakura materials with the jumping HOMEI is also really nice.
It would also be a good place to get concentrated feedback on what people would like to see more of, like sales or costume bundles.

While I'm glad the discord invite link is finally, for the first time, mentioned in a #hi3-twitter-feed message regarding appropriate behaviors, can you also put that invite link somewhere more accessible or in a more relevant post? This may be a side-note but the embeds for the invite links don't show up well on mobile Discord, but do show up on desktop client so it's probably easier to look for the embed on desktop but still hard to find the link on mobile.

And about non-global roles, unfortunately this sever is very focused on the Global Region of HI3. I once entered Chiaki FC server about February is only to retrieve global emotes only (and also i do not texting in there too much cuz there is too many members)
Then 4 mo later, CFC succumbs server outage, thanks to overposting (early guessing, still no idea)
Couple of times later, another server outage happened again and it caused by ppls inside the server was too many (say it 150k members inside and also does the enormous amount of members can abuse those global emotes?). To add insult to injury, the server management is also bad (no prunning policy, no kick ban ounishments, etc). In that dire situation, the server owner and mods decide to kick all non-participants who rarely texting or not at all and turn that server into private until now
And yeah, making global emote exclusive server is a big deal. I concern that server will also get frequent outage too thanks to abuses

A few partnered servers had their partnered status revoked for making nsfw marked channels that had nsfw content, it would probably be unwise for any partnered server to make a channel like that now (saying this aside from how miHoYo wants to represent their game on their official server)

While we can have a NSFW channel it's not a good idea as even within that realm there are still rules under Discord itself. That opens a huge can of worms and there were already many fights about it here before on the topic of lolis. Plus miHoYo doesn't want that stuff here anyways... if miHoYo is abiding by censorship in their games what makes you think we will have NSFW here in the verified server?

You can talk normally as before, talking about any art and images you want so there wouldn't be a need for a general art channel. It'll be a lot more lenient and some rule changes will reflect that later on.
So instead of a general art channel, we'll be making a read-only gallery channel where Ai-chan will post your finished HI3rd art to be showcased if you'd like! We will not post any image dump stuff or art you didn't make (unless it's a friend's or something and they want to be shown but aren't in this server).

regarding to the art channel stuff, one of other game discord group that Im in have 3 seperate art channel, Game related art channel--archived art channel and off-topic art channel, basically archived art channel is like a library of art that has been curated by the moderators and can only be accessed by moderators- one person in that discord channel is responsible to archive the arts when they were called (@)

There's not enough demand and activity for more regular art channels so far. You can still post some misc. fanart you drew in #honkai-fan-art as long as you don't dump everything in there.

Might be a good idea to add some sort of cooldown to the suggestion channels, to force users to put their whole suggestion into one post and to allow for follow up/clarifying questions to be answered, but to keep it from becoming a long discussion. Something like only 1 or 2 messages per 60 seconds or so?

As in the Discord Honkai Impact 3rd SEA server.
I think it's spamming too much to stand out from the others and in the end it creates a never-ending repetitive clone chain.

So dont add roles coz is possible that some1 will troll , this excuse counter all discord suggestions i guess , like can we remove mod ping too with this reason? Can we add slowmode and remove attaching pics to all channels coz ppl might troll spam or post troll pics and mods cant check all the time and mods will have less job to do, and this can go on forever, isnt that what a moderator should do? If mods just don't want anything extra on server to moderate even tho its very helpful just recruit more mods that are willing to.
