No there's a reason why on some consoles or all I don't know exactly you can't slam flying enemies as merc or skip pillars with headset and quail

You can actually do the Merc slam tech on console and the Wax Quail and headstomper skip you have to just tap the jump button on a ramp to do it.

Personally i don't grab ice spear because of 2 things.
1- i prefer more nano bomb because of the AoE and higher damage.
2- the ice spear glitch that happens when you kill a enemy with the spear and if the spear disappears because of life time not by colliding by terrain well... Your ears may hate you.

No, bad news, gearbox is "focusing hard" on fixing the console version, i don't think that they have time to work on split screen knowing that the long awaited rebuild/DLC so far have 4 delays at the point of we don't know when it could release.

What i normally do is, if a reach stage 5 with a GOD run or a way to skip pillars i go commencement stage 6 but if i don't have any of those 2 i prefer to loop because it's easier to loop instead of going to stage 6 commencement without a way to deal against the BS lunar chimeras spawn or go straight to mithrix.

Eclipse 2,3,5,7 and maybe 8 are the breaking points of eclipse, you have to be comfortable playing with "half" radius, double fall damage and lethal, half healing and the 50% less enemies cooldowns, it can be tedious but it's a fun learning experience.
IMO.

just make sure to not spam it all the time, just use it on moments where you need to dodge something quickly and you are good to go.

Because if they are elite they deal like 400% more damage if they are tier 1 elite but like 1800% if they are tier 2 elites but the machine gun attack can be mitigate by 3-6 ||even if they are elite|| and the orb is easy to dodge.
One extra thing, chimeras on console can't spawn as perfected.
