In order to get the server ship-shape and ready to facilitate all the fresh discussion I am going to propose the following changes - This thread is an opportunity to give your feedback on these proposed changes! Please keep this feedback on topic and constructive

1. Create 2 new channels under the Risk of Rain 2 section: #SotV-discussion and #RoR2-no-SOTV-spoilers

2. Rename game-discussion-1 to general-discussion-1 and move it under the "Hangout" section - off topic discussion will belong here and your message history will remain - that way we can still have the fun off-topic conversations we have now without disrupting the increased amount of RoR2 discussion that will happen when the DLC launches (this will not be an anything-goes channel - everyone will still need to obey the rules !!)

3. Potentially expand the Moderator team to give more general coverage - our current mod team do an excellent job especially given the huge size of this server - but more mods will make sure the conversations are all happening in the right place across as many timezones as possible. (I have not finalised these plans - no speculative mod applications please!)

The goal of these changes is to give everyone a space to discuss the game without being derailed by off topic conversations - the current state of game-discussion-1 does not allow this! This is nobodies fault, the game essentially having no content for a year has lead to repetitions in conversation and a relaxed approach to enforcing the 'game' discussion part of the channel. With these changes in place I feel we can have the conversations we have now, in the right place, and new people joining the server will know exactly where to head for the right discussions.

i have a lot of respect for you and i say this with that respect in mind: i personally thing that suncles is doing an o-k job when it comes to things, but i feel like your direction at trying to tackle it hits a wall

while i think going right for what you're thinking is good, i think in specific situations like this you have to tell what you want within what they want to hear, if that makes sense. Also, I think that going from completely deleting gd1 to doing what everyone wanted (Rebranding is) is a really great turnaround and shows that they listen to an extent. I think a lot of the issues regarding suncles is that he likes to be friendly like how ghor likes to be friendly with modders but he also has a job to do and when he does said job it usually ends in tone shifting

Railgunners goin in to the Mith fight looking for a oneshot, shooting the supercharge, it doesn't oneshot, then it is either panic dodgy funtimes or trickshot time as Mith is staying on top of you and dashing all over, with the centre arena jump and subsequent beeline towards you being your window to get in another supercharge.
