Friend and I encountered a weird bug in red level: he hosted, his two gates were open, mine were closed so I couldnt enter into cave; for him it was open
I've had the exact issue happen more than once.
Since the new map was added in the latest patch, there's a reoccurring bug with the gates in the Abyssal Depths level in multiplayer.
They'll be open and passable for the host but for the other players their solid objects. Drones and enemies seem to be able to pass through them without issue.
Its a major problem which if you get a spawn inside the tunnel with a gate on either end or the teleporter is inside that tunnel.
Probably a known bug, but when you have Red Whip and you have its effect active while Mitrix takes it away, you gain permanent speed boost from it which cannot be cancelled by attacking

Encountering a bug where the tunnel in Abyssal Depths is open to only one player and the teleporter spawned inside. Player who could enter died and softlocked the run for the rest of the players
Hey guys, theres this bug that I experienced where I was on abyssal depths with friends, and I was the only one that could enter the gated area, where the teleporter was. Everyone else had the door there, for some reason. And when I died, they were completely soft-locked on that stage. Sucks. Plz Fix.
Has it always been a thing where I'm using loader and upon using the charged gauntlet I end up stuck in the air with maxed out armor and a shower of sparks?

I had the same bug but we spawned outside and the teleporter was inside, only the host could go through
the only way we won after the host died was an acrid left the map over the cave and was teleported inside
Just had a run ended by the same bug as pizzakid was experiencing. Bounced a dunestrider off a cliff in sundered grove and it never died, just kept falling forever
Just had a run end by Mythrix being alive and the moon detonation event happening at the same time
I think I killed him and he lived at the same time for his final stage.
The walls didn't go down and either way I don't think I had enough speed

does anyone encounter a bug when someone else hosts the game the gates on the 4th stage "hell map" (forgot the name) are closed for me but my friend can pass through it
In the past few days I've been hosting a game for friends and every time we get to Abyssal Depths, the doors to the cave are shut for them and they can't get through. However on my screen they're open and I can go through them. My friend actually spawned in the cave this time around and was stuck there for the whole match.
@void locust if they're playing as a survivor with a mobility skill / have wax quaill, they can do the door glitch akin to the ones in the desert stage

I just got out of a game where we spawned a ghost dunestrider via the happy mask. We were about to teleport to the next stage but because of the clay dunestrider's life-draining mechanic, it latched onto us too and basically just one shot us. Are we supposed to be one-shot? We had like -300 hp in the end, even with all of our defensive items
working with the artifacts of dissonance and kin, the teleporter boss sometimes doesn't spawn, the same can happen in Void Fields which makes it so you never get any monsters. It doesn't soft lock the game but I'm sure it's unintentional.
Command run, monsoon, siren's call, 2 mountain shrines. Merc, engineer, huntress.
Firstly, one of the greater wisps spawned as the horde boss spawned outside the map where it was unable to be hit (or even seen). Only the boss arrow/red circle indicator confirmed it was out there, as well as my buddy's missile equip attempting to chase it down.
Then, after attempting to go out & even get a visual on the wisp, I ended up falling infinitely without respawning back to stage. I have videos of all this as well, just no discord nitro/too big to send through here.
Teammate Commandos in multiplayer will only fire from one gun.
Game detects "no game pad" when HOTAS is plugged in to PC and locks out Kb&M controls. I know this has been reported, I'm just curious if a solution is in the works?
experienced a glitch today where after being revived on the next round i lost all my items and ended up with 10 backup magazines & 5 death marks. forgot to get a pic was rushing out of game :0

Shrine of order takes all your items and turns them to 1 for each rarity

So like you have 10 syringes and 30 med kits. Shrine of order will either give you 40 syringes or 40 med kits and that goes for each rarity

Starting to get roughly consistent crashes on PC while later on in runs (about 50% of the time on runs that go past stage 6). Tried verifying integrity of files and updating drivers but got another crash yesterday.
From the crash log it seems to hit a null reference after both the ClayBossPreDeath and BeetleGuardGroundSlam are being instantiated. It then 'fails to create buffer' and crashes. Full logs attached.

My PC specs are in the logs as usual, but fairly normal machine (2080S, Ryzen 9900x)
Those logs do have a pretty clear warning that the method used to instantiate those boss sequences will result in a null ref, and it seems that's what happened but hey ho there's the logs.
reviving with a dio's during the teleporter event will cause the teleporter objective (and thus charge) to dissappear from the top right UI (the charge is still visible on the teleporter itself though). I've had this happen 2 times, i'll see if i can get a screenshot
Am I the only one that got this bug? : I was looping, got to stage 20, then I got a bit of lag, I was scared I would crash and I paused my game with Esc. to be safe , but then I was soft-locked into the pause menu. If I clicked Resume, it will freeze again and I could only un-freeze myself by pressing Esc., but I'll go back to the pause menu anyway and I was forced to end my run. Every other button from the pause menu seems to have been working normally
Reporting a couple graphical bugs with the red mushrooms that lead to the red chest on Sundered Grove. 1) Changing LOD Reduction to -1/-2 makes them not show up.
Making it harder to be guided to the red chest. 2) Turning off Bloom removes their red glow.

Losing the feature which is meant to guide you to the red chest isn't a bug? Could end up lost on that map trying to find the box cause the shrooms don't show up at all.
Just had moon detonation sequence start right after boss finished stealing items, boss still alive. Not really sure what caused it.
Beetle Guards from the Queen's Gland respawn about 3 seconds after death instead of 30 seconds
@rose quest you're not the only one today. The only correlation I can tell between our runs is they're both past 1st loop, but a thing like this has never happened to me as well.
my last 6 or 7 runs have all crashed like this. its been over a period of 3 days. i havent been able to finish a run because every time i get into one i get a crash. this cap run was incredible too :[ im unsure whats causing it or if theres a fix but its making ror2 unplayable for me.
this is a pretty recent thing i might add. ive had more crashes these past few days then ive had in my 250 hours as a whole.
found a weird bug.
If you hit the teleporter and then the blue portal just before you teleport, you'll be advanced by two stages. I assume this happens because the game tries to teleport you to the next stage and then to the bazaar right after that?
This may only happen from stage 4 to stage 5 btw, but I'll test a little more.
I'm waiting on a follow up screenshot from my friend, but the door in abyssal depths was closed for him but not for me, and the teleport was inside the case

I see the last guy also posted this, but a teammate and I got softlocked due to both doors in abyssal depth caves bein closed for me and my teammate dying outside caves, and it ruined a fantastic run.

Different maps for players online, played Coop with a buddy, we spawned in the tunnel in the abyssal depths, I could leave, but for him on both sides of the tunnel were the gates closed, I died outside after starting TP, there is no possible way for him to continue to the next stage, made us waste 3 lunar coins

Same thing for Newt altars, he cant see mine, I cant see his sometimes

Not sure if it is a bug or just an issue with controller interactivity. But you cannot interact with the majority of the multiplayer lobby if you are using a controller. The main one is you cant use the annalog stick to move over to the add player buttons, or go anywhere besides the server list. Also, if you use either the mouse and keyboard it will prevent you from using the controller as it will automatically swap back to keyboard use as soon as you let go of any controller buttons. The only way i have found to fix it is completely sshutting down the game. Having to close the game in order to join another persons game if you plan on using controller seems a little odd to me.
the dunestrider clipped into the ground in the overgrowth and I had to chug foreign fruit to kill it with the opinion
Playing as rex on Sundered Grove. Pushing the teleporter bosses of two Clay Dunestriders off the map and they don't die. Arrow indicators point down but the event isn't ending and their health isn't decreasing.
Tbh am I the only one or is the hitbox of Acrids first 2 attacks broken
In multiplayer, our group was on the magma level and we spawned in the caves. The doors were closed for everyone except the host trapping us. I also managed to 'pop' through the door by running and blinking at it with huntress.
Playing Eclipse on Captain and boss items are not spawning such as teleporter boss items or Aurelionite boss item. As far as I can tell its not my mods but you never know with mods. Normal gameplay still spawns boss items.
The game just crashed on me twice when playing multiplayer, I was the host. Could GPU overclocking cause crashes?

I think I found a couple map glitches... floating roots and holes in walls
Putting my camera the other way causes the character, the fog, and the ground to temporarily disappear too

ookay well it got a bit weirder. i was using rex's shift to jump around and i hit one of the flying rocks and now it's just spamming the chat with that same message. not sure if that's what caused it the first time but it certainly seems like it's doing it now
Brief Description
During a 2-player multiplayer monsoon session we loaded into Abyssal Depths and spawned in the tunnel. The doors were closed from my friend's perspective and he couldn't run through them; he was stuck inside. The doors were not closed for me and I could leave just fine. I could even see him running in place against the invisible (from my perspective) door.

Also had a 2-player monsoon run where we spawned in the tunnel on Abyssal Depths. My friend (the party leader/host) saw the doors as open and could walk through just fine, but both doors were shut on my side. Not just visual, couldn't walk through them. Him dying and spectating me didn't change anything. (Luckily I was able to get out through a gap above the door that leads to the jump pad)
I have also been experience the glitch on Stage 4 where you spawn in the caves in Abyssal Depths and my allies haven't been able to exit because the doors were closed for them and open for me.
I know other people have found this but it really needs to get fixed soon.
I was at the final boss and one of the lunar chimeras was out of bounds so we are softlocked
when leaping into the Final boss arena you get stuck for like a minute in the barrier

Can the doors on the red stage get fixed? it has ruined many of my runs when my friends or i cant get out
artifact of swarms breaks mithrix, he does not return items on death, making escape nearly impossible

didn't manage to get a screenshot, but spawned in abyssal depths in multiplayer and both me and the other person playing with the host were stuck in the little cavern in there because the sealed door spawned in for us, but not the host.
Does anyone else keep getting a sound bug where the Magma Worm's burrowing effects never go away between levels, even remaining on the credits and main menu?

Ran into a this playing with a friend. Spawned in the back tunnel in the Abyssal Depths, everything was fine for me, but for my friend the doors were closed to exit the tunnel.

when a fire elite spawns a weird bug happens when the trail just appears from a weird direction and then works normally its hard to explain it but my theory is it just brings the enymy from another place or sth what makes the trail create a trail from that place witch results with a weird spawning fire effect that after a sec just gets back to notmal
the Magma Worm seems to never want to stay in the teleporter zone. It always wants to go after a turret on the other side of the map. Not sure if it's exactly a bug or not but i don't think it belonged in feedback

Risk of Rain 2 crashes on startup. This happened after not playing the game for 2 months and then reinstalling it.
I don't have any crash dumps so i cant attach them
i'm not really sure how to properly 'report' this bug but anyway...
so lately i've been having a weird bug with the game where my latency gets REALLY high whenever I run/open the game. and its just specifically RoR2 game. everytime i open it, as soon as it starts running my ping goes from 13-14ms to 500-900ms. and this high ping continues unless i close the game. as soon as i close the game, my ping goes back to normal..
Not sure if its a bug or intended, i was playing Multi when i picked up a lightning essence, from then on whenever i switched modes i was fully healed and my shields were recharged. My barrier was not affected tho.
I am also having the door bug on abyssal depths; me and friend spawned in cave, doors were closed for him (non host)

Host can walk through this door and does not see it, but I can see it and cannot walk through it. The host cannot see it when spectating me either.
Same, and it always happens in Abyssal Depths. For now I have not encountered the same issue in any other stage.
Turret able to spawn floating on Titanic Plains
Pushed the bosses of the ledge in Sundered Grove. They just infinitely fall and softlock you during the teleporter event.
I scrolled up to see that someone else had the same issue. In abyssal the 2 of us spawned in a tunnel and I headed in the same direction as my partner, but when I got there the door was shut and my partner no where to be seen, other door was closed as well, so I slowly died as the tele boss got my partner.
I had that same issue, there is a small hole that requires some mobility to get to. Its near the top of the doors, and I am not sure all characters can actually fit out of it.

Yeah, although there is a small hole that some characters can fir out by the top of one of the doors.
I came across a multishop terminal where the same thing (predatory instinct) was offered 3 times. I thought this used to be the case but was patched so that at least one of the choices was different. If I'm wrong my bad and just let me know.

Hello! I just bought RoR2 today (although I bought it before a few months ago but refunded it because I had no one else to play with). But now I'm having problems with joining my friends online? Like I have no problems running the single player, or joining other random servers, but whenever I try and join my friends, it blackscreens and brings me back to the main menu. We have tried everything from restarting our PC's, running as admin, checking the validity of the files, redownloading the game, and creating a dedicated server. It's weird because I can join other games, and they can join each other, but once I try joining it doesn't really work

not sure if somebody commented this glitch but sometimes as loader or merc when you slice the corpse of a brass contraption your character goes mental and starts slashing stupid fast, so fast it lags the game and also ruins my ears
one thing that was prob not commented is that when you shoot the shotgun burst of nails as MUL-T with predatory instincts, and you are unlucky enough for it to be a crit, the sound effect for getting an attack boost plays like 20 times at once and scares the fuck out of me every time

I'm running a dedicated server with latest build. We are experiencing an issue with Abyssal Depths doors being closed and spawning behind them and being stuck in the cave without a way to exit. This happens often, is there anyway to remove the doors until a patch is created to fix this issue?

When a grovetender's chains hit a surface almost at the same time your ears get anhilated
On Sundered Grove, there is a tree root with a hole in the terrain next to it. I am able to just jump through and clip under the map. also, when looking away in most directions from this area, the parts of the map that are rendered start flickering in and out of view.
i'm so confused...why does my ping spikes to 200-300 whenever i open Risk of Rain 2? only SPECIFICALLY this game gives me this ping as soon as I run the game...no other game does this.
this sht has been going on for about a month now and honestly its really annoying and confusing....how tf does a game even affect my ping that way?
my ping:
the almost straight line averages 15-30ms and that sudden random spikes reaches to 200-300ms. this is when I open/run the game
and this is my ping as soon as I close the game:
averages 15-30ms...the biggest spikes are 25-30ms
I was hoping they could do a hot patch and remove the doors. A lot of players with the same issue..
I don't think the radio scanner ever appears on Sundered Grove, I've been there at least 80 times with the artifact of command and sacrifice and have never seen one. It's the last environment log I need for 100% completion. If anybody has found one, please PM me
i was playing with merc and when i've tried to damage brass contraption it just said blocked and my character freeze while not taking damage or dealing damage

||I got to the last phase of Mithrix, and suddenly the Moon started the detonation sequence as Mithrix finished stealing all of my items. Mithrix just stood there as I jumped off to go to the rescue ship. As I was getting there I discovered I had a few of my items still, though it didn't show it in my item bar and I didn't have all of them. Sorry for the bad screenshot, probably would have been better to get one of Mithrix having a full health bar even though the detonation sequence started. I just didn't think of it until it was too late.||
||I did have a Dio's best friend, but it didn't show that Mithrix had revived and I don't think there was any way that I one-shot him without realizing, especially since I wasn't attacking him at the time.||
At first, my friend said that I had 99 soldier syringe, I didn't see that, but when I completed 1 wave of this challenge I saw that and other items began to multiply very badly (first screenshot) Then, when I died, I had somehow new items, because I respawned like I had Dio's best friend, and then it became like this (second screenshot)

plus he has parents when therres none on cell

when you edit the game with cheat engine it doesnt show anything ingame until a value on screen changes

This is the third time the game has crashed after beating Mithrix
Whenever I go to Titanic Plains (the second variant only), for some reason I cannot interact with the floor. The only things I can stand on are the metal things (like the ones seen on the left of the attached screenshot), and the various black rocks. Usually, no enemies spawn and the objective is also completely blank. No teleporter or chest spawns either. This also occurs in multiplayer, even when I'm not the host, but only ends up applying to me (though the lack of spawns of course applies to all players). It occurs both when its the first stage and when I loop around into it. To add to the pain, when I fall, it never teleports me back up even after a full hour of falling. No other stages do this for me. It's been happening for over a week, and yes, I've tried the obvious solution of pressing the "validate integrity of game files" button.

was playing with a friend of mine in the netherlands (from LA 8000 kilometers away*) and we went onto stage 4 (hell) and both doors were open for him but not me, he was hosting btw, we spawned in the back alley and i was trapped inside. Please fix or make a way out in case this happens. Thank you ๐
After scrolling up i see that this is a common occurrence as well
one of the doors has a slight opening at the top left that most cahracters can fit trough
sometimes i feel like rex's primary fire will hit a wisp directly in the face but do nothing is this just me
When ever me and my friend play Mercenary this glitch 80% of the time happens when we dash into an enemy either dead or digging into the ground and we get stuck like this for the rest of the game you are unable to do anything and are invincible the only way to escape is quitting or teleporting to the next stage. This has been for a long time and we have been afraid to play Mercenary because this would always ruin our runs

The glitch usually appears when we dash or use the R ability on an enemy clipped in the ground this applies to magma worms as they dig in the ground

the boss will chase you, so it will eventually come back as long as its not knocked too far out. Dont use your shift abiity on that boss, it can be buggy
me and a friend were playing a game and we are now softlocked
they eviscerated into a brass contraption and are now stuck in the animation unable to take damage, i died so we were unable to continue leaving us softlocked

Don't know if this is the place to post this but my last 2 games playing on artificer the game has crashed as soon as I get to the final phase of Mithrix, anybody else experienced this before? Never had the game crash previously
Find it weird because both times were with artificer and at the same exact spot in the game
Why is your response to an issue have nothing to do with the issue? I would ask that this issue be kept professional, courteous and pertain to the issue at hand please.

Hello, I have come to tell you about a bug that I found. It is about that when the game overloads it freezes for a few seconds and the resolution of the game gets the highest .. I for example play in a low resolution for my computer that does not have a video card. This fault always happens. the resolution is raised as if by magic. I've had to delete the config file multiple times to accommodate this problem. I don't know if this is the best place to say the bugs and if they will solve them in the future.

thats not possible with the current system. directors gain credits to spawn everything, and at some point those become a negative value meaning the game is unable to spawn stuff

the new map from stadia doesn't have a height limit. if you have a jump/mobility skill with no cooldown you can fly forever upwards

So, me and a friend of mine decided to mess around with the command artefact. Do NOT just jump up there to the boss from the wrong direction, dont have 100 plus will o the wisp with forgive me please. The boss' stages got ended so quickly the game completely broke. The bosses were still there and respawning yet were counted as dead and all the stages were mixed together. We still weren't getting much items back so we kind of killed the boss too quickly for it to give the items back and we died due to too many enemies there.

anyone else encounter the Abyssal Depths glitch were during a multiplayer run the doors in the back tunnel area lock after a short time?
Multiple experiences with the Abyssal Depths bug locking everyone but the host inside the cave area. It's possible to clip into the cave, quite easy, but hard to clip out.
Doors to the artifact teleporter in sky meadows are also locked for everyone but the host.
Door to the lower area in Variant 1 of Distant Roost locked for everyone but the host.
Adding my voice to the above re: Abyssal Depths door. I (host) can get through doors but my friends are locked inside. Has happened consistently every time on this map since we picked the game back up a week ago
in sundered grove when u put your camera behind or in the hole it makes the whole map like it is in the second photo while you have your camera in that position. it's above the legendary chest spawn by the fallen metal rod.
Ghost Clay Dunestriders suck attack can harm you and it hurts A LOT, don't know if it's intentional but it makes the happiest mask way worse than it already is

Final boss celestial, swarm, after stealing items, game somehow tought he died (he was still alive with all our items). The game send monsters and timer, while we had 0 items.

There's a pretty gamebreaking bug on Stadia (I assume it's under PC bug reports) with Milky Chrysalis
When the effect runs out, it locks you just going in whatever direction you were moving in, you can't end it and you have no way to land, you just have to wait for the cooldown to end so you can activate it again and point yourself towards the ground.

I had some issues yesterday w/ abyssal depths in mp, where I (host) was able to pass through the doors to the cave loop, but everyone else were locked out, as the door spawned for them. this was game-breaking due either i) the tp spawning inside the cave or ii) the survivors spawning in the caves. this only happened on abyssal depths.

Hi! Don't know if anyone has reported this bug yet, but I was playing coop yesterday with two friends. And we were in abyssal depths, and my friend and I were stuck in this area behind two closed doors. We couldn't get out and had to restart the run.
However another friend was able to get out. The doors didn't even appear for him.

Hey, I have been consistently having crashes when I click on the third teleporter. Any ideas how to fix this or is it a known issue?
Im not sure if anyone else has gotten this bug on sirens coast before? i was able to move before my character model loaded in so i had gotten stuck under an object when the model did load in.
So I encountered this bug as well. Idk if you've patched since the post but in version 1.0.2.1 it's still there. Sorta just verifying this bug is still active.
you may want to check with the other users in tech support. The most frequent known cause of crashes is RAM overclocking, so you may want to check your system XMP settings to make sure that it's disabled when trying to play the game
though overclock crashes tend to be more random. we've also had similar instability caused by outdated motherboard BIOS on a few occasions as well, somehow

I'd certainly hope it's not google translated since we paid people to do it lol. But I think the complaints about the translations are legitimate and I think that's largely in part due to our inexperience with translations and not having a good pipeline set up as a result. The files that we send over for translation are pretty much the same files that are exposed in the ror2 folder, which means a lot of context is missing. idk if we'd ever be able to update the pipeline for this project since it's so far in but I think in the future we'd probably want to set it up as an excel doc that lets us include comments and contextual information for each of the text strings, like where they appear in the game, any parts that might have a non-obvious significance (like jokes that would be lost without localization), etc.

Hey there, sorry to interrupt. I found a bug. I just did a metamorphosis artifact unlock, and the keys would not drop until I turned on cheats. I tried for 15 minutes, but no keys. I turned cheats on, got a key, turned cheats in the console off, and the keys went back to not dropping. Do cheats increase your luck value?
having cheats enabled doesn't increase your luck stat. cheats also can't be enabled without mods, so maybe it's a mod issue
or you're just very unlucky
artifact key drops also aren't affected by the luck stat

on sundered grove, the boss got pushed off a cliff and softlocked us (sorry for reposting)
Ran into an issue with a very long solo run. I was doing Drizzle with ||Command, Sacrifice, and Swarms||. I got something like 22 stages in before going to the Bazaar for the first time that run. Picked up some lunar items, and decided to try the.. idk what to call it. ||The void?|| Anyways, it crashed as soon as I teleported in. Er.. Sort of? It more of soft-locked. My screen remained black for like five minutes. Finally I hit pause and the menu popped up with this view.
Resume causes the screen to lock on whatever it last showed. I can open and mess with settings. It plays no sounds, and my inputs don't do anything unless it's pause.
I've got the output log but it's too big for Discord apparently lol.
I've looked it over, and the reason it's so massive is because at some point the game started writing the same thing in it a lot of times. If you want the output log I saved a copy. I could cut out repeated chunks by big sweeping motions for you, or compress it or something. idk, lemme know if you need it, good devs.
Monsoon run with Command, Swarms, Sacrifice online multiplayer and spawned into Abyssal map in cavern and for me the doors were open for my friend they were closed. Luckily he found a hole to escape through because I died.
^ Had the exact same issue of the door open and shut in Abyssal. Plus, the teleporter was in the cave. The host had the open doors. I had locked doors. I only managed to get in due to my jumps and hitting the ceiling to teleport back down to the ground (inside).

Anybody ever have this happen? I was in the middle of a run and had to stop so I put my computer to sleep (done this before with no issues) and when I came back I only had game audio and no window. This is all I get after closing and re-opening along with the game audio. Issue is persisting after a re-install, checking the game cache and restarting my computer. The event viewer logs an error about UnityPlayer.dll as well.
Brass contraptions during the 40% cooldown buff from eclipse fire so fast that they don't even get to fire their last spikeball. They just reload before it gets fired
it's been a somewhat elusive bug. the last patch was meant to fix it after a very obviously responsible line of code was found, but it seems there's still a secondary cause. There's a potential fix internally that seems to be working as of earlier this week, but patch delivery at the moment isn't as simple as us just writing a fix and immediately pushing it, unfortunately. There's a lot of overhead and advance planning required on every patch we put out. There's a fix coming, but I can't give an ETA.

Here's the output. There's also an error logged in Event Viewer about UnityPlayer.dll. Though that error doesn't seem to be happening on every launch, it might have been unrelated

@rancid lance my guess is that somehow your game resolution may have been set to 0x0. Go to your Risk of Rain 2 installation folder and from there go to Risk of Rain 2 Data/Config/ and open config.cfg in notepad to check what your resolution is set to.
make sure that's a reasonable value in a form like 1920x1080x60 for 1920x1080 60Hz
after doing that, try launching the game through steam while holding ctrl until the Unity launch configuration menu pops up
from there you can make sure the game launches with a reasonable resolution

Just happened to me like the third time- when I spawn in the tunnels in abyssal depths the gates sometimes are closed from both sides of the tunnel. thanks. I gave this a look over and there are some really strange errors I'll be investigating. That said, this is my first time seeing some of these. I would suggest validating your local files through steam if you haven't already
I'll try validating. It's worth noting that I just recently got this computer and just installed not too long ago. I've installed RoR2 on a separate drive from my OS and Steam though, if that has anything to do with it. It's the only stuff that I've done particularly different from the average player, I think.

I saw something like that being mentioned but whatever chance someone saying it was "supposed" to be was way off from the internal value. All the same, I ran some tests on the RNG and it's producing expected results. The blue orb seems to be appearing less often than I think one would expect from the internal value but there doesn't seem to be an obvious cause of anything like that

this value is set through the editor, not through code. I am seeing 0.375 as the default value in the code though, so that may have been changed instead of the value that the editor overwrites it with on load (shown above). I didn't make that change so I don't know the motivation behind it but I can bring it up to see if we actually want to change anything

i am pretty sure everyone is aware of it because it is a common bug. but please fix the door bug in abyssal depths
bug where 4th phase mithrix takes ur items but the game glitches and starts the timer leaving no choice but to escape with no items, also one where tp starts, the loot that you would get for killing boss drops early and still have to fight the boss (not gamebreaking or a run ender however)
bug where alt tabbing after hitting the blue portal out of bazaar gets you stuck on the escape menu and resume does nothing so the runs over
Not game ending but a weird little thing, Upon doing a Metamorphosis artifact run for the fun of it I started off as captain, and when I beat the level and moved on I got acrid. But I kept Captains little robot bro who shoots projectiles for you, I'm guessing because it was counted as an item and not a skill. I'ts a neat little thing I found and thought I would share it.
Not sure if this is already documented, but pushing the Dune Strider off of Sundered Groves with Rex's Bramble Volley resulted in a softlock during a multiplayer game earlier today. Instead of dying once reaching the usual killzone, they were unaffected by fall damage and were as such unreachable, making the teleporter event they spawned for unbeatable.

Just encountered a bug twice in a row - was in a 3 man lobby and we made it to abyssal depths, in both instances the cave that is sometimes open was only opened for the host of the lobby and not the other players. This actually ended up killing 2 runs in a row. Not sure if reported yet ๐
you can wiggle around and you will be freed eventually, just keep pressing your directional keys

I think the same thing happens with magma worms too tho I think it happens sometimes when they die.
Same goes for Stone Golems and when leaving a stage instead of quitting a run. Only solution is to close and restart the game entirely
Not sure if this has been reported yet, but I just faced closed doors on Abyssal depths in multiplayer even though the teleporter was inside the tunnel. My friend could get in but I could not except by jumping through a hole above the door, which might not be possible on some chars.
Abyssal depths doors were closed for 1 teammate but not the other so they got stuck behind that passage
blazing dunestrider fell off the map and is stuck underneath? iโm not sure where exactly it is but the arrow points to underneath any possibly accessible area

Enemies applied death marks, cause we had "kjaro and health kit debuffs". Either the item description is wrong or how it functions
Also alien head/purity doesnt reduce cooldowns of Artificiers primary fire
- Bands cooldown is actually a debuff
- Alien head and Purity do lower Arti's M1 cooldown. Every ability does have a 0.5sec cooldown at minumum, and because the base cooldown of Arti's M1 is 1.3 seconds, Alien Head barely makes a difference
-2 sec is the cooldown ye, so it should be written that theres a minimum cooldown
And unless I am misreading something we are still missing one debuff to hit 4, one from bleed one from bands cd and slow from shrooms
i believe Void damage is the 4th. It is an invisible debuff
Didnt leave the circle, so you tell me, unless you tell me the health kit cd is also a debuff. And the void dmg isnt actually a debuff, but standing in the shield gives you a protect sign. So its probably bullshit reason for me to get hit by a deathmark
The void protection buff is actually counted as a debuff (for some reason), and medkit is not a debuff. So if you get your bands on cooldown, bleed from dagger or Imps, slowed from Mushrum, and stayed in the cell at the same time you will 100% get deathmarked.
The visual culling /disappearing appears in latest patch in sundered grove- this is kinda near the bottom looking up at the trunks you can leap through. (Edit : Actually a few spots when looking up when on lower levels. )
Beat void fields, finished the final cell, and my teammate got hit by what looked like lightning. It one shotted him and said "Killed by planet". 2 seconds later, same thing happened to me and it was the same death message. We were both at 100% before it happened and had 1 shot protection active

I know you guys said you fixed up the culling on Sundered Grove a bit, but I think it's been made worse by accident.
Zooming around the map as Loader, I found tons of instances where the entire map started flashing due to the culling - a couple times even while really high up. I'm not able to document every instance, since there seems to be a ton. I know it's little a bit unhelpful and I'm sorry about that, but I figured I'd report anyways.
This bug happened over half a year ago, but when I tried playing the game this is all that appeared on the screen. The main menu theme was playing but I couldn't do anything else.
EDIT- I took so long to report this because I stopped playing the game and forgot about it because of this bug.
So applying the same logic, elite enemies should also be hit with death mark then if they have 3 debuffs right? Since on their status bar the Elite is displayed and is also a status effect

Itโs pretty bs that itโs counted as a debuff in the code, despite the fact itโs a completely positive effect, and Iโm surprised they havenโt gotten around to fixing it yet. I wonder if theyโre even aware of it...
As for the BS logic, it depends on if itโs marked as isDebuff in the code or not, and for whatever reason the protection from the Void is marked as that. Not my logic, but the games logic.
Most definitely an oversight in my opinion though.
This also means you can Blast Shower the buff off of yourself, though itโll give you the buff right away so it doesnโt have much effect unless you have permanent Blast Shower.
@fiery garnet Might want to take a look at how the NullSafeZone โbuffโ for Void Fields is marked as a debuff in the code, despite the fact it is a completely positive effect (preventing the Void Field DoT damage). This can cause players with three proper debuffs to get marked by Death Mark if Death Mark gets integrated into the Cells and can also be removed by Blast Shower (though will be given back to the player pretty quickly).
IMO no item (except lunar) should be counted as a debuff example is kjaro/runald cooldown

Hey, I just wanted to report some problems I found with the Mired Urn:
- Huntress cannot leech in normal conditions because she can't attack at will if there are no enemies nearby.
- Mired Urn keeps healing after players are max health.
- When using Beetle Guards, if you leech from the friendly beetle guards, their AI targets you and won't go after enemies.
So apparently, the Beetle Guard thing (along with other minions) isn't a bug, or at least, it's stated on the Wiki so it seems intended. However, this shouldn't be a feature imo.
- Untrue because Huntress has her R, and yes, she cannot attack by normal means meaning she doesn't enter combat. By definition not bugged.
- Has to happen for effects like Aegis etc.
- Friendly AI needs to be able to target you due to artifacts, even when disabled.

When walking up and down this slope here in sundered grove as loader the lighting flickers in and out but it stopped doing this after I completed the teleporter. I do not know if it works with other characters, this is the only one Iโve tried it with.
you can get above 2 beacons on a stage using a dios. I respawned with beacon charges refilled. Not sure if this is a bug, but decided to report it here just in case.

Hi I keep encountering this bug when doing runs with my bf, sometimes when we finish a level and go on to the next one, I'm just spectating myself. I can move or anything, clicking just switches between us. I can't recreate it at all, just happens sometimes. Our game is modded so I don't know if that, changes anything. Thank you!

I died to Mithrix, and got revived with Dios, but I was stuck in the air and couldn't move or shoot.
A bug that killed my run:
- While playing Rex on Sundered Grove, pushing a Clay Dunestrider Boss into a pit / off the map does not kill it. This makes it so the boss cannot be killed, and you have to quit and start a new run.

if you use Milky Chrysalis while the artifact of Enigma is enabled, you can fly around infinitely as if you had the Milky Chrysalis on at all times.
So, on Sirens Call I launched the Alloy Worship Unit into space, while trying to reach it I somehow got out of the map on the right side of the map (right when looking at the mountain), this is how I looked after about 20 minutes of falling.

i need a bit of help for the same problem that i had right?. my friend & me tried to play human fall flat but cause i have a bootleg ps3 joystick it doens't work on, then after 10230 drivers downloads and a program to configure as xbox joystick we tried the game and it crashed in the same way has risk of rain 2 in my pc and he though it can be relationed with xinput and i think it can also be relationed with unity crash andler.

I am consistently having a problem while playing with my friend where whoever isn't the host would randomly stop being able to do damage and interact with anything in the game world. Quitting and reconnecting would fix it for a little while, but it would happen again after a short period. Is this a known issue? Me and my two friends are facing for the third time this issue. We play multiplayer on Monsoon and when we loop for two times (so around 60-65 minutes in), Mithrix is bugged on his last phase. As he is still stealing our items, before we can even hit him, moon detonation starts, then he finishes to steal, "explodes" and shots us all. This is like the third time it happens and it's kinda frustrating, but we forgot to save the replay.
Some commons feature of these runs: looping twice, artifact of command, 150-200 items for each player, multiple gesture of the drowned (like 6-7 total), multiple shaped glass (but not too many, from 2 to 4). Notably the bug doesn't occur when not looping.
I was on my first playthrough, 4th level/map i believe? Went to a shrine of chance and the moment i got the "Is it bugged" achievment my fps starts getts massive spikes, i hit the shrine of chance again and the whole games freezes,crashing along with steam, had to restart the pc.
It is funny how the "Is it bugged?" Achievment crashed my whole pc though.
I donโt know what actually happened but I was playing REX on command on monsoon and I was on the sky meadows map and I shifted using the default ability when almost hitting a rock and it came up with 6 white messages that all said the same thing, some code shit Iโm sorry but I lost the screenshot so this is all I can say

Friend suddenly received 20 tonic afflictions at the start of Mithrix's last phase despite the tonic never having worn off at any point beforehand (fuel cells+gestures). Additionally, only one of the three people in the party got their items back from damaging and defeating Mithrix (different player). Monsoon, no loop, artifact of command.
anyone seeing big performance drops on PC since the last bugfix minor update? RoR2 has been buttery smooth for me for a long time. i havent had any hardware changes before or after the most recent update but i am getting some serious frame drops. before the update i was locked at around 120fps and now im regularly down to low 50s high 40s

Kin rolls a random monster, and if that monster aligns with the Void's monster, it will spawn that monster on the first vent. If not, the entire void will be empty

If you're looking up at the primordial teleporter while near the center you get sent to a strange fever dream
Im not entirely sure if this is intentional. I noticed when elites spawn they almost allways spawn in pairs or more. It seems like a extra elite spawns if there is credits to spawn more monsters even if its normal (and drops normal amount of gold). This happens to malachites and celestines too at a much more frequent rate and you will almost never see them spawning alone.
For example i use a combat shrine that spawns golems in rallypoint delta in the beginning of hard difficulty. There is 300 credits to spend so there should be 1 elite and a normal golem. Instead it spawns 2 elites one of them dropping normal amount of gold. If we came to rallypoint a little later and lets say there are 320 credits to spend (1 elite and 2 normal golems) it would spawn 2 elites and a normal golem. If we had the same scenerio in the middle of medium difficulty with 250 credits to spend (1 elite golem) it would only spawn 1 elite golem.
The "hitbox(?)" around this rock and plant were absolutely massive for pings. I could walk through and shoot through fine just not ping.
Animation bug with Engineer while using controller: if you move slowly, by only tilting the joystick slightly, the running animation moves at the same speed so it looks like he is doing the moonwalk. Other characters, such as the Commando, do not have this problem and will animate/walk slowly depending on how fast you are moving.

A family event causes monsters of a certain family to be the only spawns on a stage. In case of the wisps, that would mean only Lesser- and Greater Wisps will spawn, plus Grovetender on certain maps

I was honestly just curious if anything knows more about it than that? I've been trying to see what make it happen but I find it very inconsistant
@ionic tinsel the basic idea is that your dash ends inside of an enemy, but 1.0 changed the dash mechanics and thus made it very inconsistent

Constant In Game Crashes
So my game crashes consistently thru out any game no matter the graphics settings or res setting i put on regardless of locked or unlimited fps (just sain i can push around 200 fps on max settings) the issue started when i got the full release of the game intresting fact it crashes faster from 0.3 to 5 mins while having few artifacts on and on moonson dif and be kind of consistent on drizzle mentaining the run from 30 to 70 mins before crash, tried verifieng files, reinstalling game, video drivers update, without and with game overlays, compatabilty and running as administrator as i said earlier tried different res and graph setting but nothing seems to be working...

I tried the gesture of the drowned+cleanse thinking it would made me immune to debuff but I found out it actually stopped various of my item from working such as the cautious slug and the recharging shield. is that intended?

yes I was, but inside a safe zone. I had the radar, I traded for the blast shower then went into the safe zone waiting for my hp to go back up before activating the node and then I noticed each time the blast shower activated it stopped my hp and shiel regeneration
blast shower deletes the void protection
void protection counts as a debuff, so shower removes it yes. It is instantly re-applied but you take 1 tick of damage

I just killed an imp overlord with the preon as MUL-T and didn't get the unlock?
Visions of Heresy shards get stuck on certain friendly drones (noticed it was mainly strike drones, but did see it stuck to a gunner drone).

Has anyone else had complications getting the unlock for MUL-T by killing an imp overlord with the preon?
Sometimes when I start a game, it automatically uses my utility slot whenever itโs off cooldown.
E.g. sometimes on commando, right when I exit the pod, it automatically makes me rolls off cool down. Or on engi, it deploys my shield off cooldown.
thats a glitch involving alt-tab and/or steam overlay. Pressing shift-tab to enable and then shift-tab again to disable steam overlay should fix it. in addition, that isnt really something on the game, more so steam overlay being wack

sometimes when stabalizing the void cells the hp bars for your drones (healing, gunner etc) will show up
ive only noticed this bug as engineer but that doesnt mean alot since ive only done void cells 5ish times (reason i say sometimes is cause my friend saw the bug too)
The Mithrix bug (i.e. Moon Detonation countdown starts while he is stealing items or soon after he loses immunity, but before attacking him) persists, and happens even without shaped glass. Do you think Devs know about this problem? It seems that many people face this issue here
So, I've got a co-op stopping bug. My friend, when he joins, has no characters standing around and all the menus on the right are empty. And eventually, he's booted to the main menu. Happens if he joins through lobby or directly to server. And when I join him, I get the same bug.
There is a glitch wherein two players press E on an Adaptive Chest at the same time, you get not one, but two items at the same time.
Weird glitch just happened in my game.
This is a 4 player Monsoon run:

We played the run for a long while, reaching stage 21. The purpose of the run was for the Commando player (me, who was also the host for the game) to obtain the endurance no lunar item achievement. Once we reached stage 21, the final lunar boss stage, I decided to grab one lunar item (Shaped Glass), as I had the achievement and I wanted to have some fun with double dmg.
When we reach for the final boss platform, the game glitches for everyone of us, making seem like everyone just froze in place. The lunar boss did not spawn, and everyone had a different POV. In each POV we could see the other player's models move or attack animations, but just froze in place.
When I checked my log file, it was 100+ MB in size, and each time I looked at it, it kept increasing in size (at the time of writting, is at 215MB in size). The final lines of error code read as follow:

Update: Friends left the lobby and the final fight started. Mithrix killed me and I revived with Dio's Best Friend, but now I'm stuck in place, unable to attack or be damaged by Mithrix. Artificer can use Ion Jump to get stuck in the stalactites at the mouth of the cave in Sirenโs call that is closest to the central pillar. No amount of struggling could free me and the camera was not happy. (sorry for phone photos)

There is this weird bug with MUL-T where I think if you leave a multi (pun intended) player game while using the dashing ability, the sound effect keeps playing and looping in the menu. it has happend twice to me now

this is not a bug, every seer has a 5% chance (I think it is 5% haha) to be replaced by a gilded coast seer instead
it is a bit of a strange example of that rule, but it is working as intended
if you want to go to straight to meadow you can just not use the seer

Had a few plays today (6), and all of them crashed with the little Unity-Risk of Rain window popping up with the load bar after 10 mins or more. Could not locate the Crashes directory that the pin is talking about, but found output_log in the root. I hope this can help locate and fix the issue as this is really a deal-breaker atm.
I was playing with Swarm, Evolution and Sacrifice on Monsoon in all cases, characters were: Acrid, Commando, Captain, Huntress.
Discord stream overlay was on in all cases, not sure if it can cause any trouble.
Hi there i have had a problem with joining my friends to play the game. I recently bought them game as well. Every time i go to join them i get a black screen and get kicked to the main menu.

Anyone has the fix for black screen (then kicked back to main menu) when trying to join a multiplayer game? It seems to happen to lobbies that have more than 4 players.
because those lobbies use the TooManyFriends mod or are just full. no real fix for that
we're not using any mods and we just join on private sessions hosted by ourselves. We just use the sv_maxplayers console command and it worked before but its not working anymore for some reason

IDK if this is technically a bug, but if you have transcendance, aegis will only ever give you 2 points of barrier
Aegis should shield you normally because barrier can overlap shields. You most likely just didn't have enough healing

Ever since the update with the new map, my game has been crashing regardless of whether or not I'm in the map.
This has been the case even after a fresh reinstallation of the game.
Also this usually happens during the boss segments.
No screenshots because it's not exactly a very screenshottable thing.
hey, when i use the ability rising thunder (secondary ability) with the mercenary my game crash, when i use the Whirlwind ability (secondary ability too) the game don't crash
the crashed was fixed after checking the integrity of the files in steam, i had a 90 mo download and the bug is not here anymore.

As artificer, if you have visions of heresey, during the last boss fight, when he takes visions of heresy, you primary attack has as many stacks as visions did before he took it, so if you had 2 visions of heresy, and he took it, you would now have 24 stacks of whatever your primary was.

My game won't spawn chests in or the teleporter, which is obviously a major concern. It'll spawn chests if I go into the Eclipse gamemode, but the items can't be picked up. I have no mods installed and I've already checked the integrity of the files through Steam, as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Several bugs occurred during this run.
Firstly, on this stage I somehow got several hundred of thousands of gold just by opening barrels (only me, not the 2nd player). Then after beating the Solus Control Unit, then the teleporter boss and proceeding through the portal this thing happened and we've been waiting at the portal for like 3.5-4 min. Lastly, after teleportation to Bazaar the game crashed for both of us

Apon entering the artifact of glass portal my hp was brought down into the negatives and items that give shields like amber brooch werent activating after kills (unfortunatly no screenshots since i died about 5 seconds after i noticed)

@fiery garnet Solus Control Unit's isChampion is set to false instead of being set to true in the RoboBallBossBody file, which is why it rarely appears as the Teleporter boss as it's not proper registered as a "Champion" in the code unlike other teleporter bosses.

oh, fantastic! I kept checking the spawn card cost and weight values and everything kept checking out so I assumed it must've just been in a weird spot where the director just couldn't afford it by the time most people reach stage 4 or something similarly having to do with credit values. I can make sure that gets corrected
Yeah I only learned about it since there was a mod released that fixes the issue, so I felt it would be best to notify you guys about the issue.
So i used acrids utility to get into end boss fight and uhh
wobble around, you get freed eventually
Glad it's a known bug, activating the fight also gets you unstuck
On the topic of isChampion, might also want to set Alloy Worship Unit to isChampion = True so that it also gets the appropriate boss background in the logbook (image from the Fix Solus Control Unit Spawnrate mod by Moffein).
In Vanilla RoR2 both of them currently lack the isChampion = true, so they are left the with the default Monster background. A minor issue (mainly for Alloy since it doesn't affect it besides the logbook background colour) though consistency is always a good thing imo.

got stuck in final boss place. I think using Acrid's Shift skill after jump pad caused this. i was able to escape after pressing esc, but pretty sure it will be critical problem in multiplayer.
in multiplayer and singleplayer, you can just wiggle around and be freed eventually, but yes Acrid's jump does get you temp. stuck

Captain's Orbital Probe puts Visions of Heresy on cooldown after use.
You can pass the OoB area in Siren's Call apparently, and this ended up softlocking my run.
I wasn't even trying to figure out this, I just wanted to cancel my momentum.
