they do indeed, for some reason, have very small feet.
You can see their feet as well if you black holethem down towards the floor

I guess I'll put this in bug reports too: got a pretty unfortunate bug in 4 out of the last 5 games (throughout this past week). Playing PC co op with some buddies and one of our players randomly goes through the map into another world about 30 mins to an hour into the run. Any help would be great! Thanks, love the game besides this. Makes it tough to play without getting very sad haha
very hilarious bug that probably doesnt need fixing but
if you decide to debug console and play as gup and stand on any alloy worship units they will insta die as displayed here
Turn off crossplay
Isn’t a bug, gup deals a lot of knockback and if you played as one and hit a flying enemy the, enemy would be sent backwards and in this case - hit terrain, killing it instantly
Slamming isn't exactly an intended feature but it's not going to be fixed
It's just a happy accident

its like, partially intended for certain things, like Rex's shift, but other sources of knockback can also work for it- specifically on flying bodies, though
you can think of it as an intentional mechanic with a number of unintended means to take advantage of it

All passive extra jumps do that and always have to my recollection. I'm positive its intended.
for me, it only worked on the two jumps where heretic flaps her wings

Because those aren't passive jumps. Those are item jumps.

Iirc, Merc is the same way, his passive doublejump triggering quail, any past that don't.

I've been having an issue with RoR2 on steam lately where every time i start it up it loses all of the controller keybinds. I have to rebind it every time i boot the game up.

risk of rain 2 wont work for me, when I click on single player it goes to a black screen and then back to the menu where single player and multi player is. None of the other game modes work either. idk what to do, any advice?

So I am stuck in the floor on Sulfur Pools happened when I spawned in, I would send a pic but I am unable to for some reason

When Mul-t shoots his nail gun for a few seconds the game starts to think they aren't in combat. At first it seems like a buff since it causes them to gain the speed from a red whip while firing, but it also stops the mired urn from working unless you stop and start shooting every few seconds.

There is a bug right now where "playing a singleplayer game after a multiplayer game will cause the difficulty and prices to remain at multiplayer levels" but the devs are aware of it

is there a cap to how many artifact's i can unlock per run? i just looped twice and was about to try to unlock a 3rd artifact. but no matter how many different codes i try it fails
there is no limit
and codes work even after the artifact is unlocked so you're doing something wrong
Railgunner gun sound for other team mates. The constant ping of his gun, no matter how close or far he is away from you is super annoying. Please turn this down for others by at least 75%. We refuse to play with Railgunner in our team due to this. It's so obnoxious. Please turn down.

The game shouldn't automatically enter you into any of the paths, so if it does, that's a bug
Like there was a point where I’d even jumped on the mith bounce pad just to get teleported back to the ship area
Maybe due to constant overload of gestures + chaos
Yeah I’m assuming that’s it, that’s why I’m suggesting removing the teleport item from chaos’ possible triggers
It wouldn’t change chaos very much as I doubt anyone feels much for getting vase rolled off chaos, won’t make it much stronger, and would maybe eliminate this possible softlock?
It's not really an issue overall, because you're not generally going to be stacking Bottled Chaos and Gestures

I think the Lunar Item "Egocentrism" affects the ammo number on Bandit's M1 (Only affects the spectator) [Visual Bug]
By affects i mean the number increases each time these orbs kill something (at least i think that's why the number increases)
Ego has nothing to do with it, the bandit spectator bug has been around since he came out
I've been having these re occuring crashes where the game breaks and something goes to shit, it happens consistantly every time i play but the time in which it happens isnt consistant
It's not specific to simulacrum or any gamemode really, it just happens randomly when I am in a run
In this case it happened like a minute after I loaded into the simulacrum run but I have had it happen like 30 minutes into a run too

A compressor set for low pressure with wide nozzle on nearest car repair stop would do the work in no time.
Just be reasonable and don't set it for max.
I have a compressor too but most people just don't give a fuck and do it like once in their entire time of owning X device
You can use Eccentric Vase to make a tunnel into the Mithrix arena, and then come out using the tunnel after making him spawn. It's a free win outside of big spinny afterwards.

yeah, this isn't the first time this has happened it happened a long time ago but i kind of forgot about it yet now i just re downloaded and its still persistent, basically i can open and close the game quite easily- nothings wrong with that part but when i try and go into a single player game, it fades to black and then back to the main menu and in multiplayer none of the buttons work

When ever i join my friend or he joins me we both get a blank screen, i've tried reinstalling it, restarting my computer and so has he, but we can join random peoples servers
I have noticed the following: my PC can handle the game pretty well with stable FPS. But as soon as I reach Sky Meadow my performance drops significantly to even single digits but for that map ONLY, any map afterwards runs just fine

so i managed to spawn without my beacon and i have no idea how or why this occured, i left that run and then did another and everything seemd to be working fine so (also no i dont think its a mod i have since this is my first time encountering this bug ever and i have had these mods for months at this point)
so fun fact, proper saves mod kinda breaks the game. If you start an eclipse as one character, then use proper saves to quit, then start as another character, but click load instead of begin, the selected character gets the eclipse compleation instead of the loaded one.
for example, if i start a run as Railgunner, then quit out, then select Mercinary, but load the aformentioned Railgunner run, i get the eclipse credit for Mercinary, despite the fact that i beat it as runner

Another "bug?" I've noticed is sometimes I see tri-shops as closed, the shutter is halfway down hiding the item or even fully closed, when I get close to the shop so my camera clips through the shutter I can see the items still there, but from outside it look like the item was bought.
Just to clarify there's no issue with purchasing items from them, only from visually seeing the item .
Known, clients see trishops like that sometimes.

I understand this is an old message, so you may have found it by now, but I was just able to find the Environment log for Sundered Grove. I do already have the log for Abyssal Depths. I would recommend using Sacrifice and Command to increase your odds of finding it. Also Radar Scanners make them easier to find. They will appear as a chest.

About the contraption, i assume you meant corpses with stretched geometry. That happens near clifs sometimes, im not certain what's causing that, but it's a long living bug.
It's on low priority I'd imagine, as there is no significant impact on gameplay.
If that irritates you turn down amount of corpses and on the body cleanup when you're not facing them. Won't fix the bug, but reduce times you notice it.
And if you meant this rotating clabong shenanigans, that's just flying body thing this type of enemy likes to do (there is no significant tensor rotation force that straightening those body rotation applied, that's just how it codded)

There's this hole beside a rock on Distant Roost that as Mercenary you can dash into and clip through into the wall on the other side. You'll then either get caught in the rock or fall outside of the map.
Dont have screenshots because I didnt think to take any at the time but every time me and my friend play ror2 eclipse our 2nd match before a reboot results in a weird type of lag where one from each of our perspectives the other just runs in one straight direction until they have clipped through the map and are far out of bounds. No external sources of lag and no VPN on. The host (me) can play the game normally but if I die I stay dead with no death screen menu just my corpse with no HUD. My friend cannot interact with anything or die while bugged but will get teleported back on stage when jumping off map. The only fix is to close and reopen the game. If its helpful I will point out that I own the DLC and he does not
may i ask if anyone encountered this bug before with void cradles or anything that takes your health for rewards, that they will either drain almost all your health or take the correct percentage and then nothing else happening?
Mercenary can clip through everything, it's just how the dash ends up working

As Mercenary I've encountered something that I'm not sure if its normal behavior or not. I looked at my go-to FandomWiki page and nothing was mentioned about it in tips/tech/bugs/or intended effects. The issue is when I cast Eviscerate. If there are no enemies immediately close by (melee range or a little more) and I cast it I should dash a distance, or until I find a target and attack it. However sometimes (40-50%) I'll cast Eviscerate and instead of dashing forward I'll move about 1m and get stuck for a moment before popping back out of invulnerability. It's very inconsistent, as it can happen regardless of if there is a target within maximum dashing range or not, just not if theres one within 3ish meters (which I would instantly attack without even being moved per normal effect). It's most noticeable if I'm stacking Lysate Cells and then spamming my Rs to travel the map and every other cast or so instead of dashing makes me freeze mid-air for a moment
eviscerate considers allies viable targets to lock on to, which will cause this behavior

Not sure how this bug works, but sometimes one of my friends spawns invisible to myself in a stage, but not to my other friend. Anytime the invisible friend picks up items it just says ??? picked up this or that item. He knows he's in the game and my other friend knows he's in the game, but I can't see him. I am not the host.

but I alt+tabbed out of risk of rain 2, tabbed back in, and my standard cursor overlapped the risk of rain 2 cursor

also it hindered my my mouse speed, it was like i lower my dpi by 200
I've encountered an oddity while playing Void Fiend and using Ocular HUD that doesn't seem like intended behavior. Essentially, if you activate Ocular HUD and then begin firing with Corrupted Drown, you will continue to have 100% critical strike chance after the Ocular HUD's typical 8 seconds have gone by. You can see this in the first screenshot, my Ocular HUD's cooldown is at 50 seconds, meaning that my 8 seconds of 100% crit chance should have already passed. Despite this, I continue to land only crits because I started firing the beam during the 8 second 100% crit chance window. This also works inversely, meaning that if you begin firing Corrupted Drown and then activate Ocular HUD, your critical strike chance will not gain the benefits of Ocular HUD. You can see this in the second screenshot, with my Ocular HUD cooldown being at 57 seconds, well within the 8 second window. Again, I am not landing any crits because I began firing the beam and then activated Ocular HUD. It seems to me like Corrupted Drown only takes into account your critical strike chance at the moment that you begin firing the beam, and does not update while the beam is in use.

has anyone else incountered this bug before? basically you move to the next stage and it says that your spectaiting yourself while in a singleplayer session and you cant see your own items or progress on different challenges or if you beat the game you dont get rewarded with anything. ive had 3 good long runs ended cos of this and wanted to know if theres anything i can do to prevent this or if theres smt i can do to get rid of it when it happens?
While playing Simulacrum, I somehow managed to delete my username.
Barrier's animation around the player doesn't play until you start sprinting and doesn't end when you run out of barrier until you start/stop sprinting.
Magma Worm/Overloading Worm lack their right "eye" in the logbook.
These four plates on Little Disciple lack texturing on the backside, making them invisible from the other side.
Brass Contraption texture has artifacting on it resulting in weird squares on it, especially more noticeable on the lower end of the contraption.

Hey! My friends and I have noticed a bug on stadia for the last week. Multiplayer is inaccessible (once you hit "start private game" the screen goes black and nothing happens). Single player is also quite bugged -- hitting start game leads to a black screen for ~1 minute before showing the characters. Then if you attempt to choose a different character it freezes. This is happening to all my friends and it looks like some other users
for some reason the camera kept going offcenter when I exited the mithrix arena (could've not noticed other instances of that happening
Seems like whenever Mithrix gets safer spaces in last phase, he just stands there in the middle doing nothing until he takes damage
Sometimes when I’m playing multiplayer, out of nowhere all projectiles on the map freeze in place, enemies continue moving forward (even when in the air) and I’m unable to interact with anything and all I can do is restart my run due to it being unplayable. This bug has been happening for half the multiplayer runs I’ve been playing recently, both 2 player and 3 player (have not played 4 player in a while, but I’m going to guess it may happen there as well)

so i ran into this bug where any button that puts me in a game or even the character select screen doesnt work and just throws me back out into the main title menu. i have no idea why this happens but when i click the singleplayer button it just transition screens me back to the title menu without the ror2 logo. the same thing happens with simulacrum and eclipse where it just throws me back to the character select screen
i have no idea whether this is a bug only ive encountered or if this is just a problem with my pc not being able to run the game or something

Same applies for any additional skill charges you may have before mithrix takes them in final phase or scrapping backup mags or shit like that
I keep experiencing an issue with Polylute where it will consistently strike one less time than intended, going down from 3 strikes to 2 strikes when I have a single Polylute.
Edit: Might be related to picking up Polylute for the first time after starting your first run, since every time that I have experienced this getting a single Polylute in later runs doesn't have this same issue.
I've been experiencing the issue where randomly midgame i get some MASSIVE lag that just reduces my fps to something around 2, its always running just fine i am able to play the game normally with pretty good fps until this random event happens, its not bound to a specific stage or item its purely random and i cant find what might cause the issue (even set everything in the graphics settings to the lowest to try to fix it and it didnt work).The issue doesnt seem to happen when im in the menu so im guessing its something gameplay bound

That's not a bug, refer to #ror2-tech-support channel.
Game is cpu/ram heavy, gpu isn't nearly as loaded so changing gfx settings might have no effect if issue comes from cpu or ram load.
Make sure laptop is plugged to power.
Change power saving plan to performance.
Run performance tracking software during game to see your current usage of cpu, ram and gpu during lags.

:Spoilers (I guess): not sure if this is considered a bug but my character got stuck in the shop after transforming into the heretic and I couldn't do anything to escape. the video's to long to post as an mp4 so I just made a youtube video. hopefully that's alright. seems pretty self explanatory. Hello, I think there is a bug with the Railgunner and Boongus. The first day I don't remember, but I remember that, exactly like yesterday,if you don't move, aim or shoot with the Railgunner having Boongus, the Boongus area just turns off
I am stuck on the loading screen it says 0% not going higher 15 mins now... any solutions?
Everything in the menu and all that takes an extremely long time to load, it only happens when selecting characters, though. I can freely go through settings and what i want to play, but if i want to select my character, im waiting 5 minutes + for it to load. It also plays music when i tab out(its not supposed to on my laptop), so something is def wrong(perhaps just a stadia moment, but it's been like this for several weeks)
all my other games on stadia work as intended

Encountered a bug where my friend's body would bug out the attacks of both the player and Mithrix. No idea what caused it, but I am running a few mods (although I would not expect any of them to have been related, as they are all UI and other non-gameplay affecting QoL mods

Encountered a bug playing as Acrid. Reached final stage of Mithrix, he gained my items. Among them was a tentabauble. Mithrix shot me and I was under the effect of tentabauble. This effect never wore off(along with some other status-effects) even when I killed Mithrix. I was unable to move and escape during the detonation timer. Bug: With survivors of the void DLC enabled: you can't complete Rex's DUNKD acheivement. The aqueduct doesn't come into rotation for some reason. I did multiple runs, and went up to 26 different levels on a single run, going to the market in between each level to choose aqueduct - it wasn't available ever.

so i went to spectate a run that had 4 people (1 person was dc'd when i spectated, so there were only 3 players), i eventually stopped spectating and played solo. for some reason the game spawned enemies and made drops as if it were 4 players tho (second screenshot shows that i am alone). not sure if a bug but im puttin it here as if it is

there is a janky interactions with all boss-type enemies where if you hit them the very first frame they spawn, the game ceases to consider them a boss
What likely happened was instead kjaro's related, not cryocharge related

This has probably been posted before but I discovered a possibly game breaking bug. When a player has a Newly Hatched Zoea, their ally void creatures count towards void seed count, rendering it impossible to clear the void seed at all.

Currently experiencing a bug where occasionally if I tab out. Whether through ALT+TAB or the Home Key. When I tab back into ROR2. My standard mouse overlaps the ror2 mouse an is permanent. It also weirdly limits if maneuverability, but not by much.

For some reason whenever I connect my controller to risk of rain I can't turn Left and Right but I can move Forward and Backward. I can turn my camera in every direction still and every other button works fine.

Never had it happen before the Void DLC, but now it seems that when you're far in to a run and you load into a new map mobs can spawn on top of you and kill you before you can even get moving, feels kind of cheap 😦
Example: Void infested Lemurian standing on top of me when I spawn in on Abyssal Depths second loop about 45 min in or so, when I got the controls back for my character after loading in I was already at about 10% hp with Mr. Angry Lizard-person just wailing at me. 🙂
Some sort of grace period before you can be damaged by mobs when loading in to a new map like they do in PoE? Maybe a 5 second invulnerability buff that gets cancelled when you start making inputs?

You're invulnerable for like 3 seconds
To everything except void fog
And void reaver explosions
The only way to die is to get a bunch of overloading orbs stacked on you during that invulnerability
The only time the invulnerability can not work is if it's multiplayer
And that's ping instead of the game being fucked

Have an issue on the steam deck where I have all the items unlocked in the log book but still shows some locked when using artifact of command
you can softlock when facing the final boss if you walk behind one of the pillars and get stuck behind the barrier... very easy to do once you know but can happen by accident when teleporting around

i'm not exactly sure how this happened but,
i interacted with a void cradle. normally this would drop one item, but it instead dropped a seemingly infinite supply of low tier void items. i had the artifacts of command, dissonance, and swarms active, as well as some mods. i don't think any of these things would cause this, and i haven't experienced this before even when using the same setup.

when mithrix returns safer spaces, the cooldown is heavily reduced and renders the player practically invincible
im pretty sure its caused by getting the safer spaces buff while having a safer spaces buff
so if you didn't get hit in p4 mithrix and he gave you back the safer spaces, you would get a second buff of it, which the game doesn't know what to do with
this would explain also why it also happens when you become voidtouched with safer spaces

This is in relation to Stadia, there is a bug when going from the mode select lobby to character select, there is often a lagged black screen of apparent in activity, but buttons still work but with no visual or audio feedback. I completely deleted my profile last night by accident because of this bug.

Been having an issue lately. In online multiplayer with a friend. Sometimes while loading into the next stage the game breaks. When I was host, my friend would spawn in dead and respawn next round. When he was host, I would spawn in, then desync and be stuck in the level permanently.
When he spawns in dead, on my client side it looks like he's just standing there. Mobs aggro onto him but can't damage his character. On his screen he's just spectating me. When I would desync, on his end it just appeared as tho I was dead.
Any ideas on the causes, or a fix for this?

Using better UI mod and some characters but even when not using modded characters or UI disabled the issue persisted.

My friend with a lower end PC, in simulacrum, crashed midway through and when he rejoined he was in a black screen and couldn't do anything. This lasted until the next stage in which he spawned in spectating and when he revived he couldn't move despite being able to see everything.
This has been an issue which has happened since the launch of survivors of the void and honestly it's a real moodkiller having to restart a run because of a stupid issue like this.
Try both turning off crossplay

Hi, im a fairly new player having just short of 6 hours worth of playtime, but i absolutely love the game. I have encountered an issue though, despite having been playing the game fine for the past few days, i can no longer launch the game, it just begins to launch then just stops, steam claims it is running for a few seconds then just stops. i know that my laptop meets the requirements as i have been playing the game. I have tried to fix it in all of the ways recommended on steam, uninstalling then updating my graphics drivers and disabling my antivirus, then reinstalling, but this has not helped and the problem is persisting. If anybody has had a similar or the same problem and can offer me any help, i would be incredibly grateful

If you have a second monitor, try unplugging it while you launch the game, then plug it back in afterwards if it does work

first time almost finishing the game. i beat mithrix, countdown starts and i'm trying to get out of the arena but can't... first time and i'm just trying everything, including touching/bouncing/running into the floating orbs and using the use key on them... nothing happens. i go and read a walkthrough and it says to just jump into the flying orbs to teleport out... which ive done! but it was as if they were decorations.. nothing happened when I tried, countdown kept going and eventually killed me. No mods, and it was in single player
Another bug is when I was trying to host games sometimes I wouldn't be able to leave after locking in and being the only player in the lobby. i would press "back" but it wouldn't go back nor start the game, it was just stuck in the lobby character selection screen but without the character selection and other menu elements. happened numerous times and had to alt+f4 each time

8 gb ram pc user here. Simulacrum eats a lot of ram, my game crashed like 3 or 4 times in simulacrum, 3 times during a run. I highly reccomend your friend to turn ALL graphic settings down, maybe except texture quality, that fixed the issue for me. current texture quality 1/4. Still 15 fps after level 70

I have been playing the game for a while on Epic. I almost completed unlocking everything in the logbook. I just recently bought the DLC. None of the new items are showing up in the logbook.
If I create a new profile, the DLC items will show up in the logbook as locked (as expected), but when I restart the game, the logbook, even for this new profile, still only shows items from the original game.
Is this a known issue? Is there a fix?
Ah. I've found a "workaround". After launching the game, I need to switch profiles at least once for the logbook to show what I expect.
Anyone having issues with a controller not moving the character in game? Using an Xbox One wireless on the Steam version and it works completely fine in the menus, but once the game starts it doesn't let me move. The rest of the buttons still work fine in game.
have you tried reconfiguring the buttons in the options menu?
Yes, but for some reason the movement options aren't there in the settings menu for controller. Everything else is there, even the sprint function.

this bug almost ruins the game for me
so much time spent just for the final boss to glitch out at the last minute making sure its impossible to win
for context i think what happened is that when i use the mercenary dash, if the end position is inside of the boss it bugs out the game and causes it to fly out of bounds
this is one of those bugs that are very unlikely to be fixed
for your future information, its something you can do intentionally to instakill various flying enemies and bosses though, including voidling itself, if you knock the target into the terrain
its disappointing that it is something unlikely to be fixed but i appreciate the input

Its especially frustrating too because from what ive seen, only mercenary has the ability to send the boss out of bounds. And mercenary being a melee character it is genuinely impossible to progress

@regal basalt you talking about purple portal down below? You can only access it once per run.
The other purple portal have nothing to do with newt and blue, it spawn randomly after some time.
There also small chance to get purple in seer on bazar.

If you were the host then no other explanation, your game is possessed.
stone golems can spawn as teleporter bosses in dlc stages (presumably that's the cause)
they were excluded from tps in hidden realms update yet I've definitely seen them in siphoned forest
this looks like the same thing I had earlier where a statue is at the tp location so you just continuously fall under the ground
They were still able to spawn as teleporter bosses even during the Hidden Realms update, although not as often as they used to. The “fix” never properly worked heh.

Well I don't, and neither do any of my friends. We're all on PC. Steam to be exact. We've been trying to get that logbook entry as well as having other logbook issues like ones that refuse to show as "viewed" for quite some time.
For the record, we've all played since the beta, and have had log books since then. Likely some sort of versioning issue has cropped into our log books over the course of the updates.

please remove the grandparents ability to kill all of your drones. It gets really annoying to find them all when you have a spare parts run. Also please remove the teleporter being able to spawn on rocky area in stage 5. You keep getting hit by the rocks and pushed to the other side of the map

heres the info i do remember from that run spesifically. i utilized a glitch that made the game think that there were 3 players, complete vanilla, wave 20 was void round and i went to the top of the map to stay safe from the instakill orbs, i waited untill the round ended, i grab all the loot, destroyed all of the usless stuff via scrapper and then notice no portal spawned

This isn't just exclusive to Vengeance; I have been repelled in the same way by the Grandparent orb too.

@timber oceanyou're not repelled, you're attracted to the centre, but you constantly miss it and when you passed the closes point to the centre you're not slowed as good as attracted for some reason. Because of that you left with more momentum on your way out, than on your way in.
No I’m straight up repelled. Like I know what you mean but in this case there is none of that. It is literally pushing me away (and has happened in other cases where I clearly see me never get attracted towards the center)

A weird little bug for MUL-T:
Have Power Mode as your [R] skill. Have Auto-Nailgun as both of your Primary Attacks, and enter into Power Mode. Hold both attacks and get frozen by a Glacial Elite enemy while still holding both attacks. After you do all of this, you should be knocked out of Power Mode, but you still are firing your [M2] Auto-Nailgun while [M2] Blast Canister is equipped. You can then release and re-press [M1] and have both Auto-Nailguns firing with no slowdown penalty, but also no additional armor.

The fuel array while on engineer turret damages engineer when detonated. This contradicts the official wiki that states "The Fuel Array's explosion only damages the holder and enemies; it will not hurt any allies caught in the blast." Whenever I play eclipse as Captain, I cant progress to stage 2. At all. I can go to newt, but I just get a black screen whenever I try to go to the second stage. It has only been happening since a few days ago, but it makes playing as captain unplayable completely. has anyone reported the bug in the setting menu of going to mouse and keyboard > controller setting > mouse and keyboard settings again and notice that the list of what your controls are set to is gone? it doesnt actually clear your controls it just doesnt show what they are bound to. Same goes goes for the controller settings when you go through the menus
also had the items pop out early on 2 boss fights. I think it was just for the magma worms but not sure
any one get the "oops all gups" spawn as well? because out 5th stage only had gups...

Hello. I have problem with connecting to my friend and vice versa. We uninstalled mods, check the integrity of files and reinstalled the game. We even tried it without firewall and checked all the programs running wont affect the game. The problem still persists. I havent had any problems with this game so far with connections.

Playing multiplayer while using spinel tonic, had 100% uptime but was still getting tonic afflictions in the background. Didn't find out until I tried to swap my equipment ~30 minutes into a run with 12 afflictions. Now I've got 30 stacks of it almost an hour in
the game rolls for tonic afflictions regardless of whether or not the buff actually runs out

Hey, so when I boot the game and load into the main menu it asks me to pick a profile. I select my profile and it immediately breaks my mouse and keyboard controls making my cursor disappear and no longer accepts keyboard commands. It changes all my prompts to controller prompts. It does allow me to Alt-f4 and so I go to verify my game files through steam properties. It finds one file is missing and re-acquires it. I relaunch the game and it repeats the same problem, in the process. breaking the same files again.

Get #roles to post files.
Your gamepad binding stored in profile save file in steam userdata. Search for said profile name, save it somewhere else as a backup. Disable steam cloud save. Get to the game profile select, delete your profile with delete key on keyboard, make a new one, configure gamepads, do a run. Close the game. Open the location where your new profile is. Edit it with text editor, copy block with gamepad bindings from new to old profile, replacing it. Or copy game unlocks block and place it into new one.
Make sure not to skip a character or damage tags.
Run files integrity check and run the game after fixing corrupted files with your edited profile only.
Programs that manage gamepads, such as vjoy are the culprits. If you have something like that uninstall it.
small note to the devs- looks like you forgot to flag the newt's gameobject or skinned mesh renderer as 'update when offscreen', if a player is looking away when something happens to the newt, ||specifically, lost seer's lenses proc||, it does not sync for that player, and it remains in place, albeit without collision.

in the specific instance i noted, people looking at the newt see the effect occur properly, which causes the model to disappear. people looking away see the model remain.
if people looking at something see one thing, and people looking away do not sync with the people who were looking at it, that's a bug, and the reason the 'update when offscreen' flag exists in unity.
i'll grant its not a particularly important bug, and has no effect on gameplay, but it is a bug.

Reached Stage 18 and it lagged so bad that me and others were desynchronized in real time. One was still charging the teleporter in Abandoned Aqueduct while me and another were already finishing A Moment, Whole and in the results screen.

Is there a way to prevent runs getting deleted from run history? Every couple of runs one of my recent wins wont show up on the history, but it shows my deaths and obliterations without issue. I don't use any mods.

On the second try I connect to the lobby but when its launched It just black screens again and get returned to home screen of RoR2. sound bug after respawning a drone during Mithrix fight, on death and return to menu, I can still hear the drone....
no idea if this was reported before but, i just noticed that if you get on a session and leave while still landing, you get that landing sound in your menu
and it can stack if you do it again

Not sure what causes it, but there is some kind of rain sound effect that seems to persist between stages, which is pretty noticeable when you finish teleporter events and even persists to the main menu. Also bringing up the Magma Worm rumbling sound bug when it dies and body despawns underground since it's one of the most annoying sound bugs in the game rn.

Game thinks value set to 0, and larva goes by that id.
Commando is 32, mult 110 for example. Host gets info about client's pick only after client change characters.

When starting runs as captain i dont have my supply beacons. this has been consitant since i've started playing captain runs again last week or so. The beacons come back on the next stage.

Well... technically every entity IS added to the game and IS playable character. You just can't pick them without external tools.
Host however can swap memory bit that represent which character player selected. You can make everyone in your lobby whatever you want. Even potmobile.

Welp, basically nothing related to SOTV appears in my logbook, I beat the game with the Void Fiend and the Railgunner, and no log entries
I created a new safe file to see if mine was the problem, apparently yes, everything is locked ofc but I can see the silhouette of the void items
Final Update: I managed to trigger an unlock for everything related to the void (that I have unlocked so far) by copying the xml text for unlocking all the void items (I didn't mind of it being "cheating" cuz I already used pretty much all of them) and that just made everything else work
One quick note: When I enter the logbook directly after the game loaded the bug remains, but it is fixed by choosing the profile on the main menu

I asked about this under “tech support”, but maybe someone here can help. My friend and I just bought the game with dlc on pc and the non-host always ends up in limbo. They can still move around the map on their screen but no monsters and no interactions or further progression is possible. The host is able to continue on but can see that the other is no longer in the game.
One time, this happened to coincide exactly with the non host opening lunar pod and receiving an item only the host had unlocked. Is this only due to a difference in unlocks? If so how do we fix this issue because we mostly play it for the multiplayer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Headstompers not working as intended
Everything involving the jump modification and fall damage was perfectly fine but the damaging impact is doing minuscule or even no damage from incredible heights. One time I was doing a headstomper impact and the accelerated falling worked but when I hit the floor nothing happened, no shock wave or damage.
I was fighting Mythrix when these and hosting a game with 1 other player when these bugs kept occurring

@thorny tide disable steam cloud save. Your player profile rolled back it seems. You would need to unlock him again. Or use save edit. Make a backup before that.

I have a problem when connecting to my friends and when I'm a host they can't connect to me (black screen after creating a network game) I play with windows 11 and through EpicGames, read the messages above, it is recommended to disable crossplay, but I can't find where to turn it off in EpicGames. Interestingly, I can sometimes connect with friends, but this happens very rarely.
Since yesterday i wanted to play with friend but we can't. after joining lobby person that connects cannot ready or change character. After games start host side other person doesn't load and is stuck on black screen. We turned off all mods and problem persists also i doesn;t matter who hosted out of 2 of us. Neither of us had any problem when 3rd friend came and hosted. We tried checking local files , reinstaling game , turning on and off crossplay. nothing works

The health bar is black, and you're spectating others. If the map progresses to stage 2, then you'll spawn.
You should've just wait. Eventually you get unstuck.
@void locust rejoin same lobby. Before lobby starts always pick 2-3 characters untill you pick the one you want. This makes sure you send your player body preference to the host, otherwise you'll be body id 0 which is larva bug.
Either way those are related to sending and receiving data from you to the host.

I don't think you are supposed to be able to die before all Power Elixir are spent
If a hit does more than 25% hp, it has the potential to just kill you. Power elixer triggers at <25% hp, not death.
This is why it is useless if you trade your hp in for shields.
It'll never trigger.
Shields counted towards hp pool, it will trigger, but won't heal shields.
Oh, well still, if you are hit hard enough, and aren't in one shot protection, you can be killed before it can trigger. Broken glass is another easy example.
If it was intended to trigger on threshold only it should still be used, it's a matter of when the code does the check. Before applying the damage or after. And i strongly feel that it should do it before. Otherwise it's misleading.
It's a common item. Far too common to save you from a death hit. Compared to the legendary item that is worded such that it will bring you back from death. I'd say it's not intended to actually resurrect you.

So, I'm not sure if it's a bug, merely overlooked, or weird and intended, but.. in short, the Pluripotent Larva, the corruption it does to all items that can be. If its an item you don't have in the logbook, it doesn't count towards collecting it.
For example: I got the queen's gland, then died with the larva. I have never obtained the newly hatched zoae before, and this transformed my queen's gland into the zoae of course
However, out of curiosity, I checked my logbook after, and it was still blacked out
Perhaps the logbook entry is unlocked on pickup, and since I didn't strictly pick it up, but rather simply had possession of it..?

I've witnessed this bug 2nd time in a row, and now I've figured out what's the problem.
There is a bug with infinite "Safer spaces".
Safer spaces doesn't have cooldown (actually only around 1 frame) while killing void pest with Wake of Vultures.
After effect from WoV is gone, it seems than "Safer spaces" gets another stack of effect including one that you have. Then they're refreshing eachother.
I'm actually checking rn will it durate only for one stage or is it a bug that works until the end of your run. (After checking gonna put the screenshot in the chat)
Upd: I checked it and it only durates for one stage only.
Upd2: Killed another void pest on the next stage. It didn't proc WoV. Prolly it procs when I kill voidtouched enemy. Wait for udpates.
Upd3: HA! GOT THIS BUG AGAIN! It actually works like in the second UPD. I killed VT enemy then VoW effect is gone and then I have an infinite "Safer Spaces".

It actually works but with the second ult ability only. Just gives you another charge that you can re-use after going back from your state.

This is correct. This is something I also encountered when I was 100%-ing the game. The logbook will only unlock if you pick up the item from the stage, such as by walking over or interacting with it.
you just have to tricorn a void devastator to get the zoea to drop and pick it up to get the log

Hey there. Encountered a game crashing bug (game freezes rather and has to be shut down) with REX+WanderingVagrant. It ended 2 of my monsoon runs in a row (trying to get REX mastery) and I am quite very unhappy about it. What seems to trigger it is the Gummy REX interaction with Wandering Vagrant (or more likely his tracking energy ball).
Fastest way to reliably reproduce it with a debug mod (I normally play with 0 mods however):
- Install DebugToolkit mod.
- Start a run as REX (I tried on rainstorm and monsoon, any loadout, default skin).
- Run the following
give_item BisonSteak 5000; give_item Medkit 5000; give_item FuelCell 10; give_equip GooboJr.; no_enemies; kill_all;. - Spawn a bunch of vagrants via repeatedly executing
spawn_ai VagrantMaster. - Use equip. Wait.

This might not be a bug, but I just had a strange interaction with a void jailer as ion surge artificer. I don't have a lot of experience with the jailers so I'm unsure whether this is intended or not but it didn't feel like it. Basically I got pulled in while I was in the hovering air and got nullified, so far so normal, I think I then used ion surge to float up a bit more while still nullified, after which i was completely stuck in the air with my movement keys not doing anything even after the debuff ran out for a few seconds. I then started drifting in one direction vaguely following the jailers movement. A another couple of seconds later I was allowed to move again until the same jailer pulled me in which frozen me again after which he decided to have mercy on my and killed me instead of leaving me in limbo for all eternity

Some things like jump pads put you on a set line through the air and there's nothing you can do to escape it short of moving the line with a mobility skill or coming to a complete stop
Artificer's ion surge doesn't stop you in place at any point so you just got stuck in a loop forever
Alright, thanks for the explanation, that doesn't sound super intentional either! It felt like it might be intentional up until the point where I floated above the jailer following his movements. It was particularly frustrating as the jailer was right below me where I couldn't aim meaning I couldn't kill him either. An interesting experience to say the least 😄
It's less intentional and more a quirk of the physics engine

I've been having issues with the game lately, not game breaking but very unsettling. On any normal day, I would hop on the game, play for a bit and all goes well. However, sometimes, from the second I load into a stage, my FPS hits the floor. This has only started happening since the SotV dropped. The game stably runs at 200 FPS in almost every scenario, graphics at highest settings, but sometimes, the FPS drops down to 40 and sometimes 30 FPS when looking towards the centre of the stage. This is at its worst on Commencement in my runs so far where it drops to as low as 10 FPS. Is this a known issue?
I'd also like to add about Commencement that this issue does not happen during the Mithrix fight, and is at it's worst on the first bridge.
I've had multiple runs fail because of this lag and it only happens on this game.

The game genuinely takes more than 10-20 minutes to open sometimes and the only way to get past it is wait or completely kill the game through task manager, i've tried updating my system, updating my drivers, temporarily disabling my antivirus, reinstalling c++ and many other windows programs, services and whatnot and it's just really getting on my nerves, I shouldn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for a unity game to load on an m.2 drive, please reach me out if you have a solution, or if there isn't one and that I'll just have to play some overwatch untill it actually loads

I've got a problem, I can't go to the third stage or at least the map "scorched acres". I just have a black screen where i can press "echap" and the mouse but no menu just the little line next to the mouse indicating I'm on top of a button but nothing more. I've tried in solo and multi and apparently I just don't spawn on the map. I've tried it with a friend, he finished the map alone, activate the teleporter and i'm back in the game in the next map.

i can steal hear music and some other sound effect like an other player shooting but no monsters and environment
I dont know if it was reported before. Simulacrum bug with 1 mob still alive - cant win and doesnt end the wave.
We were on ~49~50 wave in Simulacrum and on moon planet surface (flat, cant miss a mob, checked also underneath arena.) and are able to survive void for like ~1min which would 100% kill the last mob. But the last mob doesnt spawn, no yellow point, that shows last mobs and it says 1 mob left.
This is frustrating, because we lose to a bug, not to a one shot and spend 2h.
This is not the first time this bug happens, finally reporting it, because I believe it should get fixed.
Adding screenshots with items in case it helps.
A tiny bug that seems to have been around for a while: whenever playing on controller, choosing an item with Artifact of Command makes you jump (because you choose with the Jump button)
Is that on the list to fix someday?
i have no idea how it happened i have no idea why it happened... but we started a game with no mods and one of us was a bug... like actually just a bug. I think they had merc equipped before and we were having network issues before. this was after about 4 hours of the game being open.

Have steam check the integrity of your game files. If that fails, delete local content and reinstall. The model is messed up on your PC.

Hey, I'm not sure if this is a bug but if it isn't it probably wasn't intended. Was on a run, went to the void and on the 9th wave the enemies spawned with tesla coils. I was inside engineers dome and instantly was one shotted. Had three dueod dolls, rezed three separate times. One shot every time. I would really like the dev's to check that out if they can.
@rough lava engineer's shield does not grant invincibility.
Aoe, splash and connected non projectiles still hit you thru the shield dome.
Don't treat it like protection, it's just thin layer between you and projectiles.
And void tesla works exactly like it supposed to. Devs for whatever reasons decided not to exclude tesla from item pool.

Unfortunate, no I understand the bubble shield concept. You’d think it’d be treated as a projectile, not hitscan.

It's a sphere radius from enemy to you. Basically aoe

Some times the weapon wich fires coins as ammo will bug out and use like 100 instantly
pathfinding bug for the Plasma Shrimp while standing on a slope (mithrix teleporter)
the missiles spread out in a circular fashion and fly back to the player which causes these spikes to appear whenever i shoot something at eye level from the slope

Plasma shrimps home in on you when the hit that procced it killed the target
Or the target dies immediately after

Nah, it's just the Player's slow transformation into a Katamari. That is what Hopoo imagined when he created this game and the player continues collecting items, right?
I encountered a bug involving wake of vultures and safer spaces, when you have both equipped and kill an infected void enemy, stealing the ability, you will proceed to become invincible because the safer spaces effect will not stop negating damage. it doesn't run out of time either. only once you go to the next area will it stop until you kill another void enemy.
If you kill something after the teleporter converts your money into XP, you keep that money

Yes, it is a bug. You are supposed to start a stage with $0

The threshold to were you can earn money is indicated by quick blue flash on the character model, then you get around a second and a half to pick up money and take it to the next stage
i wouldn't call it intended, but i wouldn't call it a bug, just a weird side effect from things functioning as they're supposed to
not sure if it's been mentioned, but retrieving safer spaces from Mithrix during stage 4 makes you invincible

A lot of the time when playing multiplayer, the game will "freeze" soon aftr the teleporter is activated. The animatoins will play, I can fire my weapons but nothing will change. I cannot damage enemies in any way, and equipements will not work. This has happned many times and has gotten quite annoying.

try turning off cross play
or turn off any vpn's

Hey devs, I noticed that when playing voidfiend if you are using the crowdfunder when moving at certain angles and backwards the bullets collide with the character model. Sometimes it also will point down and shoot his back even when moving forward.
I have a short clip as well of what it was doing.
Could be crossplay, disable it

i had an issue where i clipped intol the wall using headstompers and when i tp'd back up i fell down again bc i was tp'd inside a shrine of chance i kept accelerating then it eventually reset and starter accelerating again
