Only attacks with the agile tag, i.e. Huntress's Strafe allows you to sprint while attacking

You're still able to jump while attacking, not a huge loss

Because like I said, some characters can actually benefit from dropping out of sprint and then going back, or can attack while sprinting

I’ve had the same issue as Uriel on Xbox Series X. Joining a lobby just gives me a black screen. Restarting the whole console works sometimes as a fix but for some reason that’s not working right now

well, its exactly as you say, you cannot use your Shift/R as Captain in hidden realms cus your ship cannot reach those places. Hold Tab and hover over the abilities

This isnt user case scenario. Only if you're making or adjusting existing mods you may need to do manual install. This means you already know howto and what it leads to. Probabbly a lot of desync is what it leads to..
So players do not need manual in any condition. Modman is developed by ebkr in such way - that its easyer for both moddevs and players.
It fixes lots of problems that regular players have using manual.

This issue occurs when Windows is reporting a gamepad, joystick, or other input device providing a non-neutral input. This is usually caused by:

Having a gamepad, flight stick, HOTAS, pedal, racing wheel, or any other kind of non-keyboard/non-mouse input device plugged in. Simply unplug the device from your computer.
Having vjoy installed. If you've ever tried to use a GameCube controller with your PC, you probably have it installed. Opening your computer's Device Manager window should allow you to disable or uninstall it.

Hello #ror2-tech-support, I own the game on 2 separate switches in my house so I can play locally with my daughter and her cousin when she bring's her switch over. We have experienced some issues we would appreciate some guidance and direction with, since I have been turned away by Nintendo (NOA) support as this is a third party title. @forest wasp I was having issues with crashing until I did 2 things with my PC setup: 1. I realized I had the dumbs when I put it together and one of my RAM modules was in the wrong DIMM slot on my motherboard, so I was only getting single-channel and thus not able to utilize 50% of my memory resources, which was resulting in frame drops. 2. since I have an AMD gpu I was experiencing issues with my graphics drivers crashing until I undervolted my card (AMD drivers are notorious for these issues). Check the internets for other people with your GPU having issues with crashing and see if you can find a possible solution, outdated drivers are the most common culprit but sometimes you can find unique issues/resolutions with some google-foo.

After several hours of tinkering, the networking issues seem to persist. Given that this is meant to be hosted through steam and that also doesn't seem to work, it just generally seems like an issue with the game itself at this point.

Yeah, we play together all the time. Our connection to each other is fine in every other game. We've given up troubleshooting it. After 4 hours this morning and 3 yesterday, we're just going to wait until it's actually steam multiplayer compatible instead of whatever the current state is.

The point is - you gave me no useful info that i asked you about other than info about other games. And even then it could be not p2p game, but centralised server one, that doesnt use steam p2p networking, but runs on steam provided servers.
I strongly suggest you to try radmin. Check what's going on in the console of the client and the host. Check that both you and your friend are able to play on dedicated servers.

If it's enabled through steam multiplayer it shouldn't need a direct connection. If I have to port forward, then that's fine, but don't claim it plug and play then.

one of my friends is able to host a lobby but his connection is not the best and our games always lag on stage 5 and become unplayable for some reason

we suspect that that problem is just his pc being unable to host when the game gets to intense

but weve reinstalled our games, verified game caches, looked at windows defender to see if firewall was possibly getting in the way, and even trouble shooted our routers

any support would be appreciated we really enjoy playing the game and wish to continue

So i bought the game today and i have been playing with my friends and suddenly this happened , and we tried everything and what we found out is the problem is with me i don't know what is it but when i join anyone of them i see this screen i can create a multiplayer session and i don't happen but when someone joins they see this screen and i can't press ready even if they left after they joined so if there is any fix please help i tried to search for hours up until now and didn't find anything
Edit : this is Starstorm 2 mod btw and i tried to play without it too and still happens after reinstalling everything

Hi...

I loved this game and wanted to play more with my friend. However, I cant make this game to work anymore for over 2 months already.

When I try to join any lobby, nothing happens. When someone joins my lobby, they see me in the lobby but on my side I dont see anyone joined and if I start the game they are thrown to the menu again.

I tried anything I could find on fixing multiplayer issues: port-forwarding, disabling firewall, reinstalling the game, verifying data, using big picture mode but nothing helps at all.

I am really desperate now, could anyone help me, please?

Hello. Every race is a departure. I do not understand what is the reason. The graphics are maximum-ultra, I removed the corpses, nothing works in the background, I rebooted the computer. Steam version of the game. I tried to reinstall from HD to SSD, the save was lost and a new one was constantly created, I turned off the synchronization with Steam, new profiles were not created, but the game still crashes. It happens randomly, maybe on the first floor, or maybe on the 8th.

So, I haven't played it for a while (like 5 month), then I saw a friend from another game playing it. I wanted to play with him but my game crashes every time I launch it. It's just a black screen with the steam fps counter in the top right corner for 3sec then it closes. no error message, no anything. I tried updating my nvidia drivers (to 461.40), restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, nothing works. I also whitelist with windows defender. I'm getting tired of this ...

we tried something and we were able to connect to one of us but what happened after finishing a boss or going through a portal some times the screen goes black for us except the host and we can't join until he finishes the stage

@peak moss does look like your isp/router/networking adapter arent passing thru the incoming data.
Try radminvpn, it installs its own virtual adapter and tunes it. If it works - it isnt your isp. If not v- call your isp for help with port forwarding and p2p networking.

@hard mango you had mods. Moving game (steam library folder) reinstalled the game files without those outdated mods.
Mods are NOT deleted after you uninstall or verify the files integrity with steam.
Manually delete those mods, or wipe entire game folder and redownload it again.
Never use manual mod install.

@somber lichen disable XMP memory profile from bios. Disable RAM overclock.

Check that cpu isnt rising and downing core speeds. CPUZ - is a good soft to check that. In this case update your bios.

@steady topaz I had mods but I removed manually all file related to them. I uninstalled and reinstalled several time after that, I even removed the risk of rain 2 folder in steamapps. The issue was solved only after moving my game folder to my os drive, I suppose its an isolated case.

That should allow it to work on your other drive

My friend Andrew and I are playing on the PS5 while our friend Jake is playing on PS4. We have run into numerous disconnection issues while trying to play the three of us. To the point where we can't get past the first level without getting disconnected. It's mostly our friend Jake on PS4 that gets disconnected. But we've all experienced issues even trying to get into a lobby together. We all have stable internet and have switched over to playing another three player game (Spelunky 2) and have been just fine. Which makes us think there's either something with the servers or something with the PS4 + PS5 compatibility. Regardless, we're super frustrated and would love some information please. It is pretty much unplayable in 3 player right now and we're very disappointed.

Hello, I have a Switch question. I feel like a bit of a noob right now, but how do I actually host a private game and invite people to it on Switch? On PC it works perfectly fine. I select Host Private Game and it takes me to the lobby where I can invite people. On Switch when I select Host Private Game, it drops back to the same screen but with Host Private Game now disabled and my Nintendo name is now in the top right corner. Start Game is enabled on that screen but it takes me to a single player lobby. Am I missing something here?

no, it just means you’re in a multiplayer lobby and if you’re friends with someone who owns the game they can join too. And don’t worry about randoms joining, only your friends can join that lobby. If you are looking to play with randoms, there’s a button that says enter quickplay which puts you with random people.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I played the majority not over clocked. But the temps remain at a reasonable level. I have hyper 212 evo on my 4690k clocked to 4.0 ghz. I have friends that clock way higher. But the performance is still low. Cpu often 100% while gpu isnt

I have had crashes on the 2nd loop, mainly at sundered grove. I personally feel like grove is a bad map for performance but idk if that has any basis in reality. But I always experience low fps and crashes on that stage.

Im not sure why but risk of rain 2 on sky meadow everytime a parent teleports to me it causes my monitor to black out for a second. Its only risk of rain 2 and when that happens.

This issue occurs when Windows is reporting a gamepad, joystick, or other input device providing a non-neutral input. This is usually caused by:

Having a gamepad, flight stick, HOTAS, pedal, racing wheel, or any other kind of non-keyboard/non-mouse input device plugged in. Simply unplug the device from your computer.
Having vjoy installed. If you've ever tried to use a GameCube controller with your PC, you probably have it installed. Opening your computer's Device Manager window should allow you to disable or uninstall it.

I'm looking to play Risk of rain 2 on linux, and have tried rebooting, reinstalling both the game and OS, both on manjaro, and kubuntu, updating the drivers, launching with wine, changing the proton version. I have 361.8 hours in and am only lacking Rex's dunked achievement from playing on windows from "duel booting"(I don't really use windows) so I know it works on this machine, I love this game but it's a pain to have to reboot my computer to play it, I'm currently running Manjaro KDE on a 64bit machine, with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core 24 with hyper-threading, and a GeForce RTX 2060 Super, and 32GB of ram.

When I try to launch the game, from ksysgaurd I know a process launches another and an instance of python3, but it crashes before I can see a window when launched though steam, when I try passing it's .exe file to wine via the terminal I do get a full screen window, but it's all black and still crashes shortly after.

Is there a launch option I could try or something?

P.S. I'm a programmer I've even messed about with Unity, and am running a arch based distro as my daily driver in a duel boot config so I could probably get any technical details required to fix the issue.

ok, so ive been having an issue for a while now. im not sure when exactly it started, but everytime i play risk of rain 2 i endure large frame drops, putting me at 2-3 fps for around minute intervals, followed by a minute or two of 120 fps, and then dropping back down to 2-3 fps. it happens even if im just looking at the logbook in the menu, and i have tried every fix possible for it, trying to use stutter stunter, compatibility mode, fullscreen off, lowering all graphics settings, setting it to high priority and making sure its using my graphics card, reinstalling it, running in vanilla and modded. i have absolutely no clue what is causing it, and ANY help would be greatly appreciated. i am happy to supply more info if needed

Hey, I have a very unique problem.

I wrote here previously that my multiplayer doesnt work, it doesnt show when someones joins my lobby, cant play with anyone when I invite them / they invite me.

Turns out it is problem only on my STEAM account. Whenever I log on ANY other steam account, the game (multiplayer) works fine. It doesnt work on my steam account on any computer, network, whatever.

How do I fix thing like this?

@peak moss Doesnt exactly looks like steam token issue. But kinda similar. Try loging out and then exiting steam client. Wait for 5 sec and then run it again and log in.

@smoky gorge make a check on your cpu core speeds during those framedrops. Good program to check that would be cpuz
Core speed should be stable and on higher end of capability of your particular cpu. (google your cpu max speed)

If its the case - things that might help:
-undoing cpu overclock
-checking thermal loads, cleaning the dust and changing thermointerfaces (paste)
-disabling autthrottling (not recommended)
-updating bios
If its laptop check your power saving features isn't lowering performance. Make sure laptop is plugged to power. Check your max allowed cpu performance when its working from battery, try setting it higher (could be preset low, like 5%)

@steady topaz Doesnt work, no matter where I log in / log out. It just doesnt work with my steam account. I tried to borrow ROR on my second account and it worked. I have tried every possible multiplayer fix but if it was a network issue (port forwarding etc) it wouldnt work on any steam account but it just doesnt work on mine.

When I host a game and friend tries to join my lobby it throws this error:

"The prefab 'ArenaMissionController' has multiple NetworkIdentity components. There can only be one NetworkIdentity on a prefab, and it must be on the root object.'

In my chat it says the friend is "connected" and then instantly "disconnected"

Can anyone help me, please?

Greetings everyone. Sorry if this has been addressed a thousand times, but I get frequent crashes when playing RoR2.

Sometimes it'll crash to desktop and give me a Unity error in the cmd log; other times, the game will crash and my entire PC will restart. My PC is brand new, top of the line, and this happens with no other games.

I've already tried running Steam and R2ModMan as administrator (and yes, the crashes happen when playing unmodded as well), and I close as many background programs as I possibly can when playing.

Any ideas in the community as to what's up with this? The crashes happen randomly every 3-4 hours

If it matters, I play on a 5120x1440p monitor, so I do sometimes wonder if that somehow relates? Don't know why it would though

There are a lot of problems like this, that you can read about online, but non of them include a fix :/
Is this a known problem? and if so, how can we avoid it? He can join a lobby, but wont be able to write or vote and then he gets kicked out automaticly..

Start and exit steam client then wait for 3 min and start it again, try the game.

Check that your pc has msvc 2015 installed.
Install those two, for 86 and 64: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
After you did it check your programs and components that those two actually installed. If one of them is missing - uninstall msvc2019 and then try to install 2015 one again.

Hi! My game doesnt lauch anymore on steam. Pressing play. Steam says im "in game" for 1 sec (nothing opens) and then goes back to "not in game". Tried verifying, reinstalling and launching as admin. looks like your system couldnt figure out what monitor is connected to your gpu. Check that your devce manager have one listed and there is no driver errors about it.

Pc doesnt know what gpu it is using not even how much ram gpu have, game doesnt pick any info about it, besides how much gpu ram it have.

the game locks your cursor at the start and it should be free again after the intro cutscene is over (you can skip with by pressing the spacebar). also, what can potentially help is not alt-tabbing out of the game before being on the title screen

Hey, seems game is crashing/freezing upon the recent prismatic trial completion. Just black screen as soon as I try to evac. Although not a full freeze. There is still audio and controller feedback though vibration from explosions and from character actions ( like shooting or using abilities). If I try to close the game, it completely stops responding, but If I press menu button, I can quit to main menu ( screen still black, have to do it from memory). Trial time shows on friends leader board but not on online

if you cannot join each others' lobby, its probably one of the following:

one or more people have mods installed
one or more people have an unstable connection that do not allow steam to create a smooth collection
your friend has firewall blocking some stuff, be sure risk of rain 2 is on the safe list

Most likely bad ports? but bad ports in 2021?
Google for peer to peer connection type. Ports will always be actual, for how long NAT will exist. And it exists because there is a limited number of ip's that aviable with xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx format, but the number of internet users always goes up and passed way-way above the number of adresses. Ports are used to send data thru ISP devices. If those ports arent aviable or set incorrectly your game loses critical data that sent from clients to host and vice versa.

You can try: #ror2-tech-support message

check that your router is set for port forwarding or ports are open. Game uses: 7777
For steam and dedicated: 27015 27016
check that those ports are punching thru your ISP, you can check it with external sites like https://ismyportopen.com
IF not - ask your provider, sometimes you have to pay extra for static ip, however sometimes ports are working on dynamic aswell. Note that each 24hrs your session to your ISP ends and they give you another one, possibly with different route. This leads to situations where yesterday everything works and today - not.
reboot your router for changing session route, sometimes it helps. But not when there is a huge loads on your isp net. Weekends and holidays is when there is pretty much no chance.
try mobile internet, share a hotspot for your router and use your router as a client to share internet to your pc.

Check whether a port is open or closed, quickly and easily.

I am having connectivity issues too. Seems to have happened after an update but I can no longer play with my friend. We can be in a party/lobby at the same time but the moment I create a game only I end up in it and my friend gets a black screen and kicked back to the main menu. I tried Jump to circle and utility to circle and it wouldn't register when it tells me to hit the button. But it registers when I press them otjerwise

It also shows steam controller icons instead of playstation ones

Ok so plugging in my old steam controller I was able to fix it.

So lesson learned is that it treats it like a steam controller but still searches for steam buttons so playstaion controller won't work.
Ps: I'm a playstation kid so the analog stick's position on the steam controller bugs me.

Hm, this does look like ram issue, but at same time - not.
Id like to see more logs and errors. Gamse saves them in the folders, each time it gets a crash.
C:/Users/Username/AppData/Local/Temp/Hopoo Games, LLC/Risk of Rain 2/Crashes
This case is similar, but crash cause is different to what usually happens if ram acting up.
Anyway, try to disable your XMP memory profile from bios, see if it helps.
If you're still crashing with same error try to swap for other gpu to test it.

This would exclude your gpu. Disabling XMP helps because for unknown reason sometimes current game engine version just cant write or read from ram if its OC, xmp is a type of oc, disabling it helps in this case. Sometimes updating BIOS also solves it.
In very rare cases it was faulty ram, or mismatched ram cards from different manufacturers.

it isnt noticeable if we're talking about ror2. It does lower your ram performance, but not by alot.

You can set your ram to work at 3600, disabled xmp means it stays at 3600, not going faster than that.

You might want to read about xmp before doing it. Most of motherboards have XMP preset to auto or on 1-2 notches.

My game gives me a blackscreen and crashes on startup. I have this issue for like 8 months and none of the possible fixes I found given by the devs or other people worked. The game is just not working. Geforce experience doesn't detect any settings for the game. I opened 3 tickets one of which got a useless answer and got closed, the others never got answered.

Hi guys, quick question. I have a ryzen 7 2700, 1070ti, 16 GB Ram. The game runs smoothly 144ish FPS at the beginning, but then when many enemies are on the screen, it dips down, all the way to 40ish FPS in the panic moments. The thing is, the CPU usage always stays around 25 %, while the GPU one under 50% i guess. The question is, is it the game just not optimized for an AMD CPU ? Because it seems to me that it can use only a portion of it, and thus bottlenecking the FPS.

Hey guys, I tried to search for someone having a similar issue, but I can't seem to find any info here.

I used to play this game all the time, but now when I try, all the play or create game buttons simply don't work, I just can't click them, nothing happens.

I tried to replace the XLM file in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata(ACCOUNTNUMBER)\632360\remote\UserProfiles" with a friends as all the pastebin links the devs posted are expired, but that didn't work.

I tried deleting and reinstalling like 3 or 4 times, ran the integrity check thing on steam with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really want to try the new updates.

@feral hazel You have installed mods manually. Steam cant uninstall them. Checking for integrity of files also does nothing to them.
Those mods are outdated and causing all kinds of problems.
You can wipe entire game root folder without losing any progress.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2
Then install game back by checking file integrity. Steam would fill game files back.
After you do that dont install mods manually ever again. Use modmanager https://thunderstore.io/package/ebkr/r2modman/ its simple and easy.

@agile imp That's a hardware error message. Check your cpu, ram and hdd/ssd for errors. This might be not related to ror2 exclusively. Ror2 is single core cpu heavy game that uses ram alot so i suggest you to check ram 1st.

Hey guys so when i posted the issue yesterday i wasnt able to join random lobbies either. So what I did was update my drivers, refresh my computer. and all of a sudden i was able to join multiplayer lobbies. I havent tested whether i can join my friends yet but im assuming i should be fine since i can finally join public lobbies

I'm having issues with my game. I think whatever lets the game load a new screen is bugged for me. After a while my game screen turns to black and this window pops up. Unity 2018(can't remember the rest) It has a blue box with the letter R inside and an exclamation point in the upper left corner. I haven't made any changes to the game and it was working fine on max settings before. I even lowered the graphics to see if that would help, but nothing.

Like, my game has about 5 seconds of stable gameplay then it drops for like a second and then it goes back to normal, I've reinstalled the game, lowered all the settings. The only thing I haven't done is check my driver and possibly update it. But I dunno if that will help either.

For lines like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2\Risk of Rain 2_Data\Config\config.cfg

window_mode Fullscreen;
resolution 1280x1024x75;

You can change the resolution right there or delete the file, game will create default one on start.

Hello, I would like some help with RoR2. So I had played it on my PS4, but I recently got a PS5 and transferred my PS4 data on to it. But while most games data transferred successfully, Risk of Rain did not. All my saved data is gone, but not my achievements for it weirdly enough. Anybody know how to fix this? I want muh data back ;-;

@gaunt cobalt there is a config file you may edit for that. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2\Risk of Rain 2_Data\Config\config.cfg
Find line like this:resolution 1280x1024x75;
Change 75 for your desired refresh rate.
Save the file and while you at it - check that this file doesn't checked as read only in its propertys.

Also note that if your drivers are set for particular refreshrate - it has priority over game's settings.

Радмин недавно Nat-penetration улучшили, теперь вероятность поиграть даже с закрытыми портами намного выше. Если будет снова такое играй через connect radminip:7777

@rustic prism В общем. Другие игры скорее всего не p2p. Рор2 использует стимовские сервера, но только как релей. Сам же сервер хостится у хоста, все клиенты изолированны друг от друга. Если клиент не пробивает nat до хоста, или пробивает но с потерями - будет экран с пустыми формами, как на скринах выше. Формы просто заполнить нечем, информация не пришла или всё ещё идёт. Тут крайне важно именно соединение прямое от хоста до клиента.

@rustic prism Крашей не было, стало быть логи не сохранены отдельно. А тот, что пишется при каждом запуске перезаписывается. Так что если сам не сохранял и запускал игру повторно - интересующий меня лог утерян.

Скорее всего на роутере настройки не сделаны.

Если доступ есть - чекни upnp, в настройках маршрутиризатора. Это может помочь. В твоём случае может и радмин не поможет, ибо я хз как там у вас сисема настроена. В случае с радмином есть особенность - он свой виртуальный сетевой адаптер устанавливает и настраивает, добирается до роутера и через серваки радмина кидает релей. Но тут как видишь всё на шаге с подключением к роутеру может встать.

Ещё скорее всего ты как клиент сможешь играть на выделенных серверах, но без гарантий.

Прямое соединение точно работать не будет, можно и не пытаться.
Стим (обычный способ подключения в игре) с переменной успешностью, в зависимости кто хостит. Коннект до друзей может вобще не работать, особенно, если ip фиксированный. С динамическим могут быть варианты, когда сеть разгружена РТ выделяет шлюзы с более расслабленым NAT и порты пробиваются иногда сами собой, просто потому что клиентов интернета меньше, чем адресов. Но это редкость.

Вобще если роутер настроен, но порты всё равно закрыты - у РТ есть платная опция в тарифных планах - фиксированный ip, там по сути даётся возможность настроить порты самому.

This is a connection issue due to how peer to peer connection works.
Both host and clients need to be able to send data directly to eachother. If host have problems, like restricted output data stream - data gets lost leading to desync (game tryes to fix position of characters, enemys, effects, entitys etc - that might bring you into the terrain)
If client connection is restricted, like ports, load on your home network or something else along the chain from you to the host - same thing happens.\

You can:
fix connection
find another host (dedicated server, or someone else to take host's place)
try non steam server middle point
try lan emulated network

Imo i wouldnt use it for ror, delay is very significant for fast paced game like this. But in times of need i guess its a solution.
But id ask for lower end gpu from my friends, ror2 can run on old gpu just fine.

If anyone having the problem of logbook being empty, edit your savefile and remove all the Monsoon survivor skins that you didn't unlock legitimately (through savefile edit). At least this worked for me

this seems to be a common problem. me and @hallow relic solved it by experimenting with disabling steam cloud and copy/pasting old profile data to newly created profiles.
i admit i dont know exactly waht causes this or a step-by-step method to solving it, but through my own means of backing-up, disabling steam cloud, and experimenting with new and existing profiles I somehow got it to show.
the down side is that now i have 2 profiles i wont ever use but cant delete or else ror2 screams at me that theyre corrupted or steam cloud just plops them back in the userprofiles folder

to disable steam cloud right-click on ror2 and hit properties, and in general uncheck steam cloud

All of my progression (unlocked characters, logbooks etc.) has been deleted. Is there a way to reverse it :ı
Edit: When I logged into game I guess I clicked on profiles tab or mods opened that tab then I clicked on add. I guess it overwrited on my existing save file because I used my existing profile name.

Risk of Rain 2 has been running really poorly since the update, I'm getting a ton of frame drops and input delay everywhere, including the main menu. Before anniversary update my game was very stable, managing at least thirty even in chaotic post loop runs. Anyone having the same issue or found any fixes?

my logbook is broken! clicking on the tabs at the top or the page buttons doesn't change the page at all. the buttons are animated but accomplish nothing. i can still leave the logbook fine, but its weirdly "empty" like this. how do i fix this?

The behavior you are describing sounds like the game is alt tabbed somehow

Turns out artifacts were not lost; I just forgot where they're selected. However, like many of us, I've lost progress on any alternative loadout options for my survivors.

you sure u did it all right? it didnt work for me either so i tore out every file, period, instead of letting the dead husk "Risk Of Rain 2" containing active files for some reason remain in my steamapps. if it didnt uninstall fullly for you either (or you dont know) you might check and try that if you have backups

I've now deleted ALL RoR2 related data I could get my hands on and reinstalled, still there
(This includes wiping all related registry keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hopoo Games, LLC)
And before it's asked I have steam cloud disabled.
By all means these 'corrupted profiles' should not exist. Incredibly frustrating...
Just was informed there is a way to delete them by hovering over them and pressing the 'delete' key. This isn't documented anywhere.

I've tried restarting the game, switching profiles, and verifying the game data but still nothing. Before the update I had messed around with the save file to unlock certain entries in it so I'm assuming that's what caused it. Is there any way to salvage this or am I just screwed?

I've had the game year now and this issue has always been bugging me. In some areas, usually between indoor and outdoor areas, there are large and fairly opaque squares that just look annoying. By the way it clips I can tell it's definitely a graphical error, but I have no idea what causes it. I have a feeling it may be hardware related, so for reference I have a GTX 760. Any help is appreciated.

I was benchmarking while playing and i noticed whenever things got messy (lots of effects, monster etc) my gpu usage actually lowered from 50% to 30 or even 25

Hey y'all; I'm experiencing similar stuff to everyone else upon updating. My logbooks and items are still there, as are all the characters, but all mastery skins and unlocked skills have been completely wiped.

My save is NOT corrupted, files and integrity are verified and fine. Has anyone else solved this/encountered this?

I was having this problem too and the way I fixed it was:

make a back up of my saves
delete everything in the UserData folder
uninstall RoR2
reinstall RoR2
enable steam cloud
launch game

I'm not sure how consistent this is because other people reported it not working for them but it's worth a shot since it worked for me and a few others

so apparently getting the items i had causes the game to break a good bit? Me and the others ended up fighting 2 of the final bosses, and it died before it could steal our items, let alone us being able to actually move properly from it so uh... kinda over powered but breaks the game a crap ton

So, my save corrupted and I couldn't get it back. I made a new one, but then that corrupted too! Another one, another corruption. It's unplayable because my saves keep corrupting and my progress keeps resetting. Anybody know how to fix this?
