the way the fight is designed highly encourages you to hide behind a rock for 90% of the fight and fire ranged attacks at it, run around the donut arena in a circle and fire ranged attacks at it, or just climb on top of it and pray you don't get hit by the homing missiles
it is extremely tanky, a single phase has 2000 health which is the health of mithrix phase 1 & phase 3 combined
and each of its phases are really lackluster, with the second phase adding a single new attack that only triggers at low hp and has a 60s cooldown, and the third phase just preventing you from getting to ofar away from it

all of these things come together to create a boss that is extremely uninteresting to dodge and is effectively completely the same throughout all of its 3 phases, which have 6000 health combined

Sure, I agree with that. But I started looking into the numbers a bit, which made me question it. On stage 1 it takes 300 gold to complete the shrine, which is the equivalent of 12 small chests. The drop rates for the reward are slightly better than small chests, but only slightly. I guess its worth it if you have literally nothing else to spend your gold on, but the actual rate is not that good

I think so. There was quite a bit of negative feedback for it when it was first released, but they did some serious patches and overhauls, so now all of the content in it is really good. I think the new items and characters are the best part. I'm not the biggest fan of the False Son boss fight, but some people do really enjoy it. But I do really appreciate how it gives you a realistic alternate objective other than just fighting Mithrix on the moon. It adds some nice variety to each run

Look for orange particles in the air and follow them, there's a setting to make them easier to see ("teleporter particle scaling" under the umbrella settings tab on the first page)

It also tries to spawn pretty far away from the player spawnpoint, so if you know the map well enough you can get an idea of where it'll be based on where you spawn

Most of the generic "good" yellows (Both perfs, little disciple) are good as her

Typically speaking Shatterspleen is considerably weaker on her compared to regular proc survivors though if you're really struggling with aoe its uhhhhh, something ig.

And really the only other notable one is faulty conductor though if you don't have any lightning skills she doesn't get any straight up uses out of it (It still has its synergies though)

try to avoid procs and other items that could steal the kill, and focus on direct damage multipliers like crit, watch, ap rounds etc.. Then in his last phase just poke him with the shotgun and taser to get his health as low as you can before dropping a beacon

each stack of also gives your primary beacon one extra use per stage, so that can be helpful

stage 1’s will (usually) always have a halcyonite shrine, and if you go through a green portal on stage 1, it’ll put you on a 3 stage long path, with false son being a hidden realm after the third.

so you will have time to prepare before fighting again

The modding community of RoR2 is very strong as it had the modding of RoR1 as a precedent and RoR2 was made with the intention of making modding easy. In order to use mods you have to download R2modman and from there just browse, download and play. It is very easy
