Guys am I the only one whose eyes get RED playing ror2 but not any other game. I can literally hang on pc/phone for days playing any other games but 1 hour of ror2 fries my eyes...

It isn't bugged afaik, you probably just need to do more damage. Try to stay in sojourn as long as possible (
will help with that), there's no cap on how much damage it can deal iirc, it just increases the longer you're in it. Also add some more multipliers, shaped glass or some watches would go a long way

hi, i have a question, after i've picked up this elite orb (those elemental orbs what have like 1/4000 chance to drop) i didn't get those into logbook. Any ideas how to fix it?
They don't have any logbook entries afaik
I know what you mean, if the ingame settings don't help then you could try turning on night light mode (assuming you're on windows) or see if your monitor has some kind of blue light filter or something. It messes with the colors a bit but it makes the brightness more tolerable

Instead, it has been designed such that it immediately kills whatever receives the damage type in and of itself, regardless of the amount. This means Armor as well as protection items like Tougher Times.png Tougher Times and SotV Icon.png Safer Spaces.png Safer Spaces are completely ignored and incapable of affecting the outcome.

Can you believe I lost this? Just look at my build. I was obliterating every damn thing.
Then his spinny got me.
The moment I dashed into him with my special was exactly when he activated his spinny. The spinnies are dense in the middle, so I couldn't dodge it. One hits me and launches me, and then it's just a matter of time before I take another hit and die.
It's his spinny that gets me EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I've only beaten him once till now and it was with Engineer, so I practically didn't even have to fight him. Other than that every single run I've died to his spinny. Either I am up close against him and I can't dodge the dense spinnies, or I am dodging them well from a distance but a single misstep messes everything up.
Am I playing phase 3 in a fundamentally wrong way? Should I be playing in a manner so that I can make distance whenever needed to dodge his spinny?
you should basically just stay relatively close and try to move along with the lines
the exact distance you need to be at will depend somewhat on your move speed, but you get a feel for it with practice
also, once he's below 75% health he'll always alternate between spinny and the big ground shockwave on a 30s cooldown, so you can sorta predict when it's about to happen and be ready for it
Yeah I know how to dodge it but sometimes the timing of his spinny is just really bad. Like in this run the moment I dashed into him was when he did it, and I was basically on top of him so I couldn't dodge it

my usual strat is to stay near the ramps for most of the fight, mostly for cover and verticality, but it also helps to keep any chimeras away from the center of the arena
then when I think spinny is about to happen I start moving towards the center

you can tell because he’ll get the yellow armor buff and crouch down, then jump
he’ll come back down in the middle and always do 2-3 more attacks before stopping whereever he is to the spinny
this gives you time to control your distance to him
I have a question about an item that might not even exist... I swear the last time I played this game a lot there was an item that gave your primary weapon multi-shot. it was common(white) or uncommon(green) and each one made your weapon fire another bullet per shot fired... Am I imagining this?

no the director can just be a bit silly sometimes with how it spends credits on enemies, just wait around a bit and they will eventually spawn

try to complete it by attacking alloy worship unit, back up mags help but aren’t necessary, try to complete the teleporter first so you can focus on the boss
^^^^ hemorrhage lasts 15s and refreshes with every new stack like bleed, so getting 20 stacks is pretty easy. You just need an enemy that can tank that much damage for long enough, hence AWU
aurelionite also works but AWU is a little easier

how do people consistently win using merc on monsoon, like i am reliant on at least a little healing or i will eventually just die while killing wisps or the flying things with mouths
I mean, most people rely on getting at least some amount of healing lol
but merc is one of the harder characters to learn, a lot of it comes down to abusing his iframes and mobility, being aggressive, and using expose as much as possible to keep your cooldowns short
there's a merc guide linked in the pins if you scroll down a bit, it's pretty old but most of it is still accurate
i know 2 of the techs. the m1 and focused assault (i know some people think blind is better i just dont like it near as much) and slamming flying enemies into the ground
Last I checked the slam tech doesn't really work anymore, at least not consistently
The expose tech is still really useful though

yeah ive gotten pretty good at it but my main problem is trying to get to teleporter as fast as possible because time is my enemy on monsoon and trying to get at least one healing item like shark tooth necklace or medkit

that is just for an unlock, you do not have to do that every time

thats what ive been doing just going right to teleporter for the first 3 stages and only grab loot near teleporter
try to get all the loot from every stage as efficiently as you can, one item per minute is a good rule of thumb
in monsoon each stage will take around 8-10 minutes to full clear, but doing item macro will increase the average by a bit
but it's okay to spend time farming or messing with printers and scrappers and stuff, you basically just want all of your time to be spent on things that'll make you stronger
it just gets really hard on monsoon when you are on stage 5 on HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
but rushing stages just hurts you in the long run. enemies scale with both time and stage count, and items are how you get stronger
and it's only gonna be harder with fewer items

95% of the time, if you are full looting, you will destroy everything on stage 5 regardless of enemy level

enemies scale 15% faster per stage cleared so rushing stages like that just makes you weaker overall
it depends on stage but 6-10 is pretty average for early stages, later ones will be more like 10-12ish

getting fewer items also means that you're relying more on rng for those items to be good
yeah that is where my problem lie with people getting good runs
stage 1/2 tend to have 7-12 items, 3/4 are maybe 12-15, & stage 5 is around 16 maybe
full looting makes good runs & cohesive builds much more likely
and items also tend to build on each other's effects, especially damage items. So you can get exponentially stronger with more items while being less reliant on rng

merc's skills are all pretty good and well-balanced, so you can really just use whichever one you prefer. He doesn't have any bad loadouts
if i have a choice between medkit/or another good healing item and like lens maker glasses what should i choose?
in terms of item priority, dmg > mvmt speed > dmg mitigation > healing
in most cases, damage is king
im using eviscerate should i prioritize atk spd?
attack speed does make it harder to do the expose tech

it's not awful but I wouldn't prioritize it over other sources of damage
i mean you can always just click m1 to get it all of the time
it will make expose tech harder but eviscerate is a strong skill, so you should generally prioritize other dmg sources but don't leave it on the ground
focus crystal is a pretty obvious one for merc
i know it is good and will always be but i feel like it falls off later when i use the tech and only a few weaker enemies are in my bubble
not necessarily, at high enough attack speed I think the frames where it's possible are straight up deleted from the animation

how good is sticky bomb is just a meh item it seems kinda irrelevant

backup mag is pretty survivor-dependent, but some survivors benefit a lot from it ... namely arti, huntress, & loader but it's pretty decent on everyone
for the record, crowdfunder does 1500% dps when fully revved up on top of whatever your survivor can do normally, even without other items it's pretty damn solid
(assuming you have enough gold income to keep it going)
im mostly just talking about merc right now, im decent with most of the other survivors on monsoon

use the gold to get a better gaming chair that will fix it

it's not a horrible effect but the amount of damage you give up for it is painful

this is just an anecdote. i got it a few hours ago. im loving it, new characters seem fun, i like the new maps, the new skins for the other characters are great they seem much more polished, and the new gear imo is meh but you are mostly getting the new characters and maps

the amount of exp you need to get from 94 to 95 is bigger than the signed 64 bit integer limit of 2^63 - 1

yeah, if you're really struggling you can use kin and reset until you get something easy like beetles, but honestly it might be good practice to just do it normally

Family events are very rare events that may happen once per stage and last for the entire stage, if one happens only a select few monsters will spawn

So for example during a void family event only void reavers, jailors, barnacles and devastators spawn

hey i just did the prismatic trial today for mercenary's ethereal challenge and managed to do it no hit but it didn't give my the achievement for it does anybody have any idea why

They’re the beginner characters for a reason. They’re the simplest
i have played RORR and used commando and huntress (preferred huntress), and ive tried a single game with bandit and MUL-T, and i like multi. I have also played as huntress a few times
I have MUL-T and Bandit unlocked, out of those 4 are commando and huntress still the best? I have about 5 hours on ROR2

1211 is kind of just the most busted loadout overall but 1122, 1212, and 1221 are also really good

Yes because it still allows you to trigger expose on your next dash
While it won't reduce blinding's cooldown until the final dash, it will reduce the cooldown of your other skills which allows for more comboing, especially with swinds
besides that tech is there another worth learning. im pretty sure the one where you dash down into them doesnt really work anymore. at least it is not consistent
iirc using whirlwind while hitting an enemy with blinding assault cancels the dash so you can stop right on top of the enemy

it's not just you, barrier decays at a rate of 3.33% of your max health per second, including shield

it takes an excessive amount of healing to keep it active just for an effect that's sorta okay, and that item investment would be better spent on damage or speed, or more reliable defense items
it's only really good for engineer since bungus turrets heal constantly and it only takes 2-3 stacks of bungus to overcome barrier decay, although they still gain barrier pretty slowly until you get more

yeah that's the other thing, by the time you get aegis up and running, you either don't need it or enemies are doing so much damage that the barrier barely helps
it's not unusable but it really doesn't compete with other red items
unless you get a run like this where the game just says "fuck you, you WILL use this aegis"

mainly bc you can transfer the perfect reload bonus to both overcharges
and it just works better than marksman with crowbar and bands, which are the big items you want on railgunner anyway

default is better on average, its got significantly more dps if you consistently hit headshots and perfect reloads and doesn't require staying scoped for long periods of time. But both are good enough that there isn't really a wrong choice
my brother said marksman is better, because higher firerate, and works better with proc stuff, the latter of which i didnt buy
eh it's weird, you do get more procs but they're much weaker
it'll proc stuff more often, but almost all procs do a % of the hit that procced them, so fire rate isn't quite as important as overall dps and proc coefficient

something that helps a lot is going to the bazaar each stage, there's a chance for gilded coast to appear in lunar seers and it's generally a lot more consistent than waiting for a gold shrine
stage 8.5 false son is relatively easier than stage 3.5 false son
once you've got halcyon seed, a green portal can appear inside gilded coast if you're on stage 1-3 of the current loop, but if not then there are 3 gold geodes hidden in the bazaar that you can break to make a green portal spawn. But they'll only appear if you haven't used a green portal yet on that run and are on a valid stage
also yeah, looping helps and will probably be required unless you get really lucky with portal spawns

Voidsent flame is usually always better than wil-o-wisp
they're kinda interchangeable imo
both are good against swarms but bad against bosses
voidsent is a lot easier to trigger immediately tho
And more potent with crowbars
Willowisp is obviously better if you're using
though ofc
But otherwise yeah, usually you might as well just take voidsent
i like voidsent the most when i'm playing someone like commando or huntress who has to focus fire wisps for a quick sec to kill them (assuming you don't use huntress m2 for some reason)

anything works, but if you want the easiest possible win then fire bolt, nanobomb, ion surge (secondary is kinda up to preference, spear helps if you struggle with Mithrix or FS but bomb works better with ion surge)
flamethrower is fun but hard to use and pretty underpowered
primaries are fairly equal until you get

I think firebolt is always better due to the abilities doing the exact same base damage but firebolt has fire

especially if you're running nano bomb bc your aoe is kinda already solved
yeah, the aoe is the reason to use it
all you have to do is hit two enemies and the effective damage output is doubled, and those aoe hits can proc, unlike burn

If you haven't already, you can try the usual easy fixes like turning off crossplay and verifying game files, and maybe check the ingame console (ctrl +alt + ~ to enable) when someone posts a message to see if there's any error there that might be a clue
