Lunar ruin deals a very very small amount of damage over time to prevent out of danger effects like shield regen to activate

So you may have just gotten the most unlucky chain of events possible

yep, it is the final boss stage after all
Play around cover as much as you can and be extra careful around the flying chimeras, they'll delete you in an instant if you're not careful, ideally you get away from the bridge and pick them off from a distance.

The one good thing about commencement is that the spawn rates there are really slow, so once you kill the initial wave of enemies, you'll be fairly safe

also if you have good enough mobility, you can skip pillars entirely and climb straight up to the arena (but if you have extra scrap it's still worth it to check out soup island)

And now, if you have lunar coins its nice to loof for longstanding solitude on the lunar pods

As for Mithrix, it varies a bit by survivor and the state of your run, but in general you should stay at medium distance and punish him when he's vulnerable after attacking. Try to stay on or near the ramps too, they're pretty safe since he has a hard time attacking you if you can get above him.

Phase 3 is basically the same, just be ready to get close to him when he does big spinny, it's easiest to dodge if you're up close and can move along with the lines. Remember that he only does it once he's under 75% hp and he always alternates between spinny and the big ground shockwave on a 30s cooldown, so you can sorta predict when it'll happen.

and for phase 4, the most reliable strat is to just play it safe, hide behind cover and poke him to death while his primary is on cooldown. If you don't have any ranged attacks or you're just impatient, you can also stay near him and keep circlestrafing to stay at his back.

Another good trick if you have any minions is to stay near him while he's immune and run away at the last second, that way your minions lag behind and attack him when he's vulnerable instead of following you. That's also a good time to repair any dead drones to spawn squid turrets if you have

its possible to use mods to cheat unlocks, or you can just create a new profile and edit the txt file to unlock things.

if its truly gonezo and like restarting the game or other ez stuff doesnt fix it then it might just be borked. its happened to me, and i just unlocked everything manually since i had 100% and didnt feel like doing everything over. if you cant rember exactly what you had, steam achievments could help you keep track

I wouldn't rule out a multiplayer bug but it is really finicky, I think the best way to do it is similar to the other "kill mithrix with X" challenges. Avoid items that could kill him by accident like procs or tesla coil, and be really careful about applying ruin to him, try to wait until aurelionite is about to attack.

Swarms should help but you'll have to be extra careful about killing him accidentally

also buffs aurelionite's dps a bit, preferably on an equipment drone for more uptime

Basically you want some items that stretch your attacks to hit enemies other than the direct target, and you throw out a pylon. It can cut through a flock of flyers in seconds once you just get rolling. They tend to be pretty soft targets

pylon helps a lot for weaker flying monsters at least, and it never hurts to have drones drawing aggro too (although they tend to not last as long on higher eclipse levels). And to some extent you just have to get good at grapple movement and lining up punches to hit them

Keep an eye on ram usage too, ror2 is mostly cpu-bound and not overly demanding in terms of specs (I used to run it just fine on an i3 with 8gb ram and a 1050ti), but low memory could definitely be an issue

Yes, commando is very item dependent. He is pretty much a proc machine. Priorize those and try to diversify. its usually better to have too different items that make use of each other than 2 of the same item

The railgunner, rather than having a chance to crit, is guaranteed to if she hits an enemy's weakpoint. Items that would normally increase crit chance instead increase crit damage when used on the railgunner
