An option to only show un-levelled base damage sounds weird, so i assume it's broken, but config is probably a good place to start
yeah i looked at it a bit and theres [baseDamage] which seems to just be that, base damage at level 1, and then theres [damage], which does consider the damage increase from levelling up (and from prayer beads)

the problem with n'khuana's and transc is that a lot of healing items in the game are based on a percentage of your health, which means you'll only get 1hp with transcendence
it does still technically work, it's just really hard to build up energy.

The fnuuy is just that the max hp is calc'd with the shield included, so especially since it's a health up it makes it take more, but then makes all your % healing heal off of 1 green hp. The numbers won't show smaller than 1, but you can heal less than 1. So like a wungus will heal you 0.02 per second and you'll have hundreds of combined hp to fill for a single skull lmao
If it did launch based on hp only though, it would be 10% of 1, x2.5, so 0.25 damage skulls lol

Anyone able to suggest some decent Duo teams? we have only just clawed our way through Medium (other good runs were used for obliterate unlock and acrid unlock) and ive been messing with railgunner which is kinda fun
Artificer and Loader can be fun (Loader can make good use of Artificer’s verticality if she attaches her grappling hook to her)
Artificer was well hard for me to get used to
my mate is lame and just plays hunter or the cowboy one
Loader is also alot of fun but mthrix just can slap me about
durain fruit throwing bells come out and one shot you or the void green flying gits
Pick characters who don't need the same stuff. I.e. commando is a proc demon while someone like artificer is a huge burst shitter
This doesn't work with mobility from my experience unless you actually cooperate and don't loot goblin shit. Don't take a turtle and a sprinter (i.e. engi and acrid) unless you can properly distribute mobility
It all comes down to proper item distribution basically, make sure you share and characters won't really matter in co-op
Also for total Monsoop domination try to always do void fields after stage 1
Scavenge whatever you can if shit gets hard
I mostly play coop with my friends and runs with early void fields are almost always ez won runs
Huntress is a glass pool noodle and bandit is commando with less reliance on crits
If you play loader like a melee brawler then you are doing it wrong despite the game trying to imply that it is the correct way to play the character
Same with acrid
You do hit and runs with your shift and thunderslam/epidemic and also take visions of heresy in the bazaar to do damage from afar which is much better than being in Mithrix's face
Acrid is also a very strong co-op character because his poison will always reliably (but veerryy slowly) kill Mithrix provided that the Acrid lives throughout the whole fight
Never stop moving and they will 97.5% of the time not hit you
In case of loader retreat immediately after a punch
Also you can replace most characters' shift with Strides of Heresy because the invincibility is very good and is on a short cooldown
I even sacrifice arti's freeze for it
Because I hate how slow she is without strides

You can also give the tincture to an equipment drone and intentionally let yourself get burned by it. The damage is negligible and unlike when you use it yourself, roll of pennies works if an ally uses the tincture

Yeah you only take it if you have crazy healing and will get more, also it's very character dependent because it does your max hp damage (increased by a lot), so fatter characters will do more damage than say huntress
So if you have a few ignition tanks you can deal massive damage but will also quickly get brought down to 1 hp yourself

in what direction
Run in a circle. Wisps are hitscan and may be undodgeable but blind pests are not unless there is a pack of them above you

90 degrees away from the trajectory of the wisp shot
Just run as much to the side as possible
And time a jump
Pests shoot for where you were not where you are, same with all projectiles
So just do this and it's gg

Does anyone know what are good builds for artificier to beat false son?
If you wanna cheese it you can just get war bonds plus like 5-6 stacks of
, and whatever other damage items you feel like throwing in. That combo alone basically removes all bosses from the game
But if you wanna do it more legitimately and aren't planning on looping, then you'll really want a good amount of move speed, you can't cheese it with ion surge like you can with Mithrix since the laser can still hit you, and he can't be frozen.
is particularly nice now that attack speed also affects her primary cooldown. Damage can kinda be whatever you want,
is obviously great for flame bolt but it's always best to mix different sources, total damage procs and multipliers are your friend
Or, you can just loop until you're overpowered enough to delete him with zero effort, since he's way squishier than the other final bosses, but it's pretty annoying to get back to path of the colossus after stage 1

whats the quickest way to get spiked fist? ive been trying for a while, and i keep seeing people rave about how good it is
just play drizzle and rush to stage 8, loader's OP enough to do it no problem with barely any items
although spiked fist really isn't that good honestly, the fact that it does damage means it can waste crowbar's bonus
imho it's a downgrade just for that, the stun is nice but other than that it's completely identical to the default grapple

I mean I think for any enemy that gets put out of crowbar range by that it doesn't really matter for loader
Like if a enemy takes more than 10% of its health to that then it gets one-shot by charged punch with or without crowbar
for the actual build I just did the hellfire tincture build
- get a few armor plates
- like 3 or 4 razorwires oughta be good
- gesture
- hellfire tincture
- 4 fuel cells
- planula

oh yeah i dont have the gesture of the drowned, what is in general the easiest way to get it
hellfire tincture damages you, but the RAP will mitigate that, and then planula will then actually heal you instead because you're probably only taking 1s
then because you're taking damae, razorwire is procing 5 times per second

Maybe if crowbar is like your only damage source but with even a single ice band you need 3 crowbars for it to even be possible and the enemy needs to be at a near perfect amount of health for that
I always play with spiked grapple and I've never once noticed it being an issue, while its ability to kill wisps early is always a benefit
crowbar being your only damage source makes it less likely if anything, unless you mean that you've printed a ton of them. I've had it happen when you start throwing in watches, crit, procs etc
like I said, it's a small downside for a small upside, and I don't care enough about the upside to wanna use it
plenty of other ways to deal with wisps
and using wisps as grapple points is fun

I've been on stage 19 for awhile now and I don't see the TP anywhere. It looks like there may be some sparkles, but they're up in the air at the top of the map

if you can see the "find the teleporter" objective, then the teleporter must exist somewhere, because the teleporter object is what makes that objective appear
try turning on teleporter particle scaling in settings or whatever it's called, it makes the sparkles way easier to see from a distance
have you checked that weird hidden cave passage

I had it earlier in the run though
I think I saw the particles, but they were above the map. It was hard to get a picture of that so I skipped it

Abyssal can be annoying when looking for Teleporter especially if you don't know the area well
the actual TP is the same color as the ground
the particles are orange as well as the entire stage being orang
yeah, the whole stage is the same color palette as the teleporter lol
same with sky meadows
but seriously, this setting makes a huge difference, you can spot the teleporter from space with it on
and learn to listen for the TP
it makes very distinct noises and like, it distorts the music when you are close to it as well
and once you hear it it's like a sore thumb
yeah, that can help narrow down the location if it's behind a wall or something, it's pretty much impossible to hear if you aren't already near it though

Should be converted immediately. However, the amount you get is small so it's probably converted before you see it
so ls is really weird and doesn't actually convert gold directly to XP (if it did that it'd be terrible bc the XP requirements scale exponentially). instead, once you collect a small chests worth of gold, it gives you 1/10 of the XP you need for the next level. so it probably just didn't hit that threshold so you didn't see any change

What do you build on false son
steaks and the infusions aren't scrap on him, and he can actually use stone flux since I hear the amount of spikes he gets instantly makes up for the speed loss (I haven't tried it yet)
he can use proc items thanks to the laser but he can also use burst items like bands/crowbars/focus crystals thanks to his m1 being a 1500% aoe slam
he's also probably the best user of Luminous Shot
tl;dr this guy works with everything 
damn near anything, the only thing he doesn't synergize with is shields since he gets stat buffs from bonus health (and even then
is fine, just stay away from
)
don't forget that the charged slam also has a 3.0 proc coeff when you use it on the ground, so it can also be amazing for procs despite being on the slow side

it's only 1.0 if you use it in the air, but the radius scales with height so it's still pretty damn strong

there's some clunky feeling I can't really describe, but once you get over it he's pretty great
I know what you mean, he definitely feels a little unpolished (and so does chef)
i think he definitely gets slower even with all his spkies used
it does take a little extra speed to get back up to "normal", yeah. And you still have the 0.5x speed multiplier making all speed buffs less effective. But he's still the only survivor besides loader who can actually take stone flux at base speed without being completely crippled

On the false son topic false son is the only instance where I'm not mad when I get a Titan boss after multiple shrines on abyssal depths

ye I just mathed it out and he is slower at the start, so be careful if you have literally no items I guess 
at level 1 with no items, if you grab SFP and use all your spikes, you'll still be going at 75% of your base speed
the difference is that because Stone Flux is a % based HP gain, just leveling up will yield more spikes over time

Obligatory blight is fine early game but because poison scales and blight gets really hard to stack it falls off fast so Poison is better 99.9% of the time
^^^ poison always deals damage based on a % of the enemy's health so it always works even against extremely tanky enemies, blight can stack and deal more damage early on, but it's just flat damage
ive heard with noxious thorn blight is easier to use but it's not gonna help you if youre going to mithrix

even if they do make it to false son I haven't found them all that effective, they help out a good bit with SDP but the laser and aoe attacks delete them

and in my experience they're really prone to dying to the lightning on PM, and it's easy for them to fall off the stage so you can't repair them

It can, you just need the boss to live until after all the missiles have fired, and get more gold before the next phase starts. You can't build more charges while they're still firing, so of the boss dies too early you can't build any more charges, same thing if you can't get any/enough gold in time

likely you just havnt found the last one, sometimes there is a void corrupter and it will just be tiny and randomly corrupt a enemy, sometimes like 5 minutes later

Take the fuel array to abyssal depths and do something with it
Don’t drop below 50%(?) health or the run ends
it just increases damage. burns try not to deal too much % of a targets max hp per tick, so at high enough damage they extend the duration instead

this is where its calc'd, so its like 4x total, then with 2 stacks 7x, then 10x, etc.
i dont rember exactly how the tick cutoff works, the dotcontroller has a line that seems like it might be 1% max hp, but id probably want to test it to be sure since i might not be reading the right thing
this is where the duration is managed tho. it gets the ticks per second divided by the total expected damage and uses that to determine how long it should tick
so theoretically it would just scale the expected total and per tick damage up equally, but then at some point the per tick would get capped, and this section would see the discrepency and increase duration to compensate
i think this was largely implemented because big elite enemies were applying burns that would kill players waaaaay too quickly, and that felt pretty bad, so they did this instead so you had the chance to outheal it
iirc with the realercheatunlocks mod you can manually change eclipse progress for specific characters

Big thing for engi is to consider not which items are good for you but instead what are good for the turrets
remember, you can place down new turrets
this sounds like dumb af advice but people talk as if your turrets die once and engi is useless for the rest of the stage
throwing down a turret to clear a few small mobs or chip at a big mob while running away is good

that's totally up to opinion, generally lunars are designed to work around specific builds and aren't really meant to always be good like normal items are
is probably the best in terms of having a very minimal downside, but it's also a pain to unlock if you don't have it yet

If you want a good starting place for having fun with Lunars though, what Fax suggested is really the best place to start.

Looping and picking up too much movement speed, False son and (sometimes) Loader are the only cases you'd ever really wanna pick up stone flux though, unless you just wanna cripple yourself for the memes

and you know, the most obvious lunar build 
Finally looped and obliterated on monsoon in coop. Though it did feel like cheating using Loader compared to railgunner or acrid

I'd say the main ones that can make it more enjoyable would be gestures like others have said, and also any of the heretic items. There are quite a few survivors where taking one of them just makes the survivor feel so much better. The primary can feel really nice on engineer, since his primary just isn't really fun to use, and on melee characters like loader to give them a bit of range since they don't really use their base primary. I like the heretic utility on rex, his base utility feels pretty scuffed to play with and shadowfade feels like it fits his kit pretty well. The special feels nice on commando, since both of his base specials aren't great and ruin synergizes with what he does really nicely. And then of course there's chef who benefits from all of them
I'd say try them out when you feel like you're just not using a particular skill at all, and see how you like it

if i can, it helps with the pain of just waiting around that happens mid-late game if you have a decent build

if you have 4 gestures you shouldnt get any afflictions. Its true tonic doesnt activate in sojourn but the afflictions only apply in sojourn if you had an affliction before hand. So if you pick up say 3 gestures and then a tonic instead of 4 and got an affliction and then picked up 4 that affliction would proc whenever you went into sojourn

Its useful for non full uptime. As long as you leave before it runs out, you'll never get afflictions. So like with a fuel cell or 2, you could have a handful of charges to use during a tele and still not worry
there's still a full gametick where damage can be registered, we actually tested this not too long ago. With 65 stacks, if you were getting hit every single frame, you'd block 50% of hits
That also means that 7+ stacks of tougher times actually starts to outperform it in that case since it doesn't have a cooldown at all

Right. Though like saw with infinite tritip won't be able to bleed because it cant connect, so it cant proc. But as soon as you get one hit in, it bleeds, and then on ticks where bleed happens it won't block the bleed and saw, only one of them, so damage gets through

idk i think sojourn has wiered interactions ill have to test it further but whenever i use tonic with seeker its true i lose the tonic buff in sojourn but i never actually get any afflictions - might have smt to do with the fact that when you get a tonic affliction one debuff you get is max health reduction which could be considered dmg?? so the game nullifies the debuff as a whole due to sojourns immunity to dmg that isnt from sojourn?
afflictions are items, it just puts them in your inventory
the game also doesn't treat health reduction as damage, but yeah since affliction is an item it should always give it to you regardless

I recently started playing ror with my friend, we're trying to just have fun. I unlocked the artifact of command swarm and sacrifice, but I am a little bit confused about the actual drops and if it's worth using swarm with sacrifice
I just saw some old posts on reddit and steam about this, saying that since swarm halves the xp and whatever, sacrifice is based on swarm

No it just has to be ralleypoint or scorched acres without going below 100% hp
Also the yellow barrier you get from things like topaz brooch
acts like going up to 200% hp so if you get hit but just dont lose any actual health it will still count

drop chance is roughly based on their reward, but is not exactly halved. so its always an improvement, but how much varies. theres a global 5% chance minimum, so early on its most impactful, like when something is already close to 5%, so it drops to 2 or 3, but then is raised back to 5% so youve got two enemies with the same chance still.
this hasnt been updated for new monsters and stuff, i just havent felt the need to really. but it should give a rough idea for the chance changes
elites are also more expensive so they'll bias upwards in cost. you can kinda think of it as +50% more drops and that should be a decent average expectation for using swarms with sac

You shouldn't waste time, per se, but if I spend an extra 10-15 minutes to optimize my build, like scrapping and printing stuff on loader to get kjaros, that is most likely better than just leaving where you were
Sometimes you simply have nothing to organize and manage though, so it varies
I think the general rule that people know is that it's good to have more items than minutes elapsed, but it's more complicated than that to decide the quality of a run

If that doesn't work, try a hard reinstall by deleting the folder and installing, which will remove your settings but not your saves (if linked to the cloud)

well if you wanna make arti as braindead easy as possible, you can just run ion surge, constantly float above everything and ignore like 95% of enemies while tossing nanobombs down
but other than that Arti is one of the harder survivors to play, you've gotta manage cooldowns a lot and rely heavily on freeze/stun to deal with enemies safely since her horizontal mobility is nonexistent and her damage is generally worse than it probably should be (especially flamethrower)

the biggest change is that her primary cooldown DOES get shorter with attack speed now
although for this specific situation, just don't stand too close to thin cover against stone golems since their attack has a little bit of aoe

yea killing a few titans was like 23-25s vs 30-33s, so like 20-25% dps lost from cutting flame out of the rotation entirely. ice wall didnt make a big difference in time but its not really meant to on a boss
definitely a fall from glory when it was like 4k%, but its still good piercing and still 22 hits to proc stuff, when bomb is only 1 and m1 a handful

Additive was a mix of total + base, like iirc ATG used to be 100% total + 300% base. I think all total damage procs used to work like that, but it was changed because it meant proc rate was way more important than actual dps
And for added context, back in the day I think flamethrower had the highest base proc rate in the game if you didn't include the cooldown, plus it could pierce. Flamethrower would've been an absolute monster back then, but with the proc item changes, other stuff being buffed, and the burn rework, it just kinda fell behind

break line of sight when he uses the sun, but you can also use the sun to wipe out other mobs since it melts everyone
when it starts picking up something it's about to throw a rock at you, this hurts, so just start strafing when you see it (and don't be too close)
the last attack is a gravity orb which can be annoying when combo'd with other enemy attacks but otherwise not dangerous

you should always full loot a stage to the best of your ability, but that aside, Grandparents are usually low-mid priority for me

yeah the short version is that stage scaling is stronger than time scaling, and items are strong enough now that it's always worth to full loot as that'll put you way ahead of the enemies
flamethrower does and has always had infinite piercing..
its pretty big too and very long, a lot of people really underestimate the range and feel its super close range but you can be quite far
wth, is that entire cylinder the hitbox? that's huge
it never felt like it pierced for me
really its was incredible up until the burn rework, going from 200% base to 50% total was a bit rough. it used to be over 4k% to everything in that beeg range. its still quite strong tho, its still like 2.7k or so
the proc rate is still pretty nice, but bleed is getting rekt by the DoT bug rn. should be fixed soon tho i hope! im expecting it to be fixed in the next update wave

Even if there's no printer currently, it's always good to scrap. There might be one in the future, and worst case, there's always cauldrons before mithrix/false son. Cauldrons are similar to printers, but imagine like 5 greens for 1 red, instead of green for green.

There's a set amount of stage 1s, 2s, etc that will be chosen on that appropriate stage, so not fully random

Generally it's good to full loot because item scaling will overpower time scaling
I like to think it's alright if you have more items than minutes elapsed
But it will always be worth it to micromanage, like if I spend 10 extra minutes to get 3 kjaros on loader
Protip, in game settings there's an option called "inspect item" or something like that. It'll let you see what a thing is before you interact with it, super helpful when you're new to the game
10 minutes for just a few extra items is pretty excessive, but yeah, you should prioritize items over going fast

The more you play, the more you naturally learn a good route through stages and where most of the loot is anyway, and so eventually you can full loot while also being sub-10 on some stages
You can sorta build him either way depending on the items you get, although he does lean a little more towards burst damage, especially with his alternate special

Yellow is basically like an "alert"
If you get a new ability, you can click on it to mark as read almost, and get rid of the yellow

We looped once, my partner was absolutely cracked, like a boss would spawn and die, melting everything. Some things would die as they spawn

so we get there, and like I was rail gunner, I used my special on one of the flying mobs and its just kinda spun around and looked at me like, the f you do that for, flew over and deleted me
I couldnt even get out of the spawn area, my mate made it to the first tower button and got murdered
Ive then read you should loop 3(!) times but you should be gunning it, like 3mins per stage
