It's possible the seed wouldn't matter much anyway apart from getting the right stage, because you can still get different outcomes due to differences in director credits
I mean if you can put in a select seed you can also use the debugtoolkit to simply spawn a dunestrider there yourself

What’s railgunner’s gameplan in the mithrix fight? I had an insane run with hh44, concussion, and cryocharge, but still lost because i didn’t know what the hell i was doing
freeze the guy -> shoot the guy until he unfreezes -> dodge until you can freeze the guy again
using the instant detonation tech with the mines can help with dodging if you have low mobility items but other than that it's just hitting your shots and timing the charges well
stick to the ramps too, be ready to run up to him once he starts doing big spinny in phase 3 but otherwise there's no reason to get close to him and the ramps are pretty safe
If you're not confident in your scope aim vs him but have a lot of procs also feel free to hip fire m1 in between cryos it's free damage
How does life on Pretichor V effect the fermi paradox?

Yeah, flamebolt and ignition tanks too stronk
without ignition tank they're pretty similar but yeah, flame is way stronger if you get one
also flame got way more than plasma out of the m1 attack speed scaling change bc you can stack burn a lot faster
stacking burn doesnt really do anything different, its still just more damage
the DoT bug makes burn worse with bleed but for arti thats not the biggest deal. its more annoying for flamethrower than anything else
Speaking of the DoT bug, has anyone dug around to find out how it actually works or what causes it? I played around with it a little bit but haven't really tried to work out what exactly it does besides making DoTs behave weirdly and wear off a lot faster
I know it doesn't really matter since it'll probably be fixed soon, it's just fun to learn about this game's jank lol
yea wolfo found the cause already, its BurnEffectController.HandleDestroy()
they added a new effect for burns, where they visually appear on the enemy longer than they really last for (which is why the icon stays for a bit after its done dealing damage)
and when they destroy the effect instead of destroying the component, they nuke the entire DoT controller object
and ofc that handles all DoTs so killing it kills all DoTs
so that means when burns wear off and the game tries to remove the effect, every other DoT gets nuked. So collapse will be removed without going off, bleed stacks are lost, etc
poison and blight also use the same effect controller so they also kill other DoTs when they drop uptime

What items should you pick up as VF other than atkspd?
if you wanna stay red then avoid healing and take more crit and voids, if not then just "the good items"
yeah generally you wanna avoid stuff like medkit and lepton daisy bc it makes it harder to keep the meter where you want it
scythe is fine bc the boost from crit outweighs the reduction from healing and slug is fine bc it boosts regen instead of directly healing you, other healing items can be a bit iffy
That's another bonus but even over the minimum swarms is a bonus

Idk I personally think that obliterating is actually easier than fighting Mithrix so I think it could also make sense to have to obliterate on monsoon but not be on monsoon when killing Mithrix
Honestly I have a harder time against drizzle Mithrix than a monsoon obliteration
As you play you'll learn how mithrix's ai functions and get more comfortable; when you do it'll be faster usually to fight him
you'll realize mithrix is dumb sometimes and cant reach you in certain places or is able to be rooted 
on the other hand i've fought black hole scav as acrid before on like e7

but yeah mithrix is fairly easy besides dodging pizza cutter and/or giving him op items in phase 4
just be sure to do sharp turns and watch where he is

if you'er a close range character, circle him as much as possible, dont give him time to fix his aim on you
I wouldn't say it's that hard, just find a distance where you can easily move with it
One time I died to that because bottled chaos rolled a blast shower and I got confused
another good trick is to stay close to him until the very end of the item stealing animation and then run, that way your drones will immediately aggro to him when he's vulnerable instead of following you

i like to cheese the end part where i drop below or fly above the ship platform and either dash/jump/equip in the air or loader grapple

Yup. There’s more combos that can be done with yes chef I’d argue, main idea is to roll into the enemy, spin around to hit them multiple times while flamethrower is active, or throw out a spread of cleavers while right under their legs with Yes Chef
He can very easily nuke early stage bosses this way
But tbh when you get later and less enemies let you just sit between their legs for free, it does get harder
At least in my experience, Chef is still frail as hell
Do you have any suggestions for making the ability easier to get?
Yes Chef also refreshes abilities so you can get more rolls for more mobility. Just first use yes chef for the fireballs or cleavers though, boosted roll sucks.
will they nerf blind pests?
Do you have the artifact to make enemies spawn outside their usual environments? Turn that one on and maybe the one that makes all enemies in a stage the same one. Keep restarting until you get bisons and just camp that stage. Maybe also enable Sacrifice, too.

At 7 stacks, you revive any dead teammates and non-dead teammates get an extra life
You get something that full heals you when your health gets low but I'm not sure if you get a self revive

well the 0.5coeffs also part of why scaling is sad too
10000% infinite range piercing 3.0 coeff supercharge vs 10000% boosted cleaver but only on grounded melee with commando frailty with 0.5 coeff and also its multihit so no band abuse for you either

They toyed with making it captured by the damage source so fall damage and stuff would just refund to your pockets, but it meant monsters stole it and you just got it back when you killed them
So brittle had quite literally no downside, and the change was reverted pretty fast
Which sucks, because i really think like rex self damage shouldn't just erase money... They could have fixed the inventory thing and kept that part instead of full revert but eh

To generate gold on hit with gilded, you need to have gold... But attacking them while the shield is up would give them something to work with

the shield breaks with certain sources of damage with no inventory like the lava which causes it to tick every frame and completely melt them haha. i gave them like 400 armor to survive in the clip and they still did not last a second

anyone got any tips for someone just getting started with the game?
theres some good stuff pinned in here, these were my newer player general tips i shared a while back
might be a fair place to start! at least for some ideas on general strategy/how to improve
Pins have some good tips, but the biggest and simplest one I'd give to new players is to focus on getting as much loot from stages as possible. A really common mistake is to panic over the timer and not get any items
an item per minute is a decent pace, ideally you wanna always leave stages with more items than minutes. That'll get easier once you become more familiar with stage layouts
what would you say is the best red for huntress (with NO OTHER ITEMS...)

but between those two specifically, shustice would be better, scorp needs higher proc rate to really be effective and huntress's are kinda meh

you've got command so it doesn't matter THAT much, you can just pick stuff later on that'll synergize

why sometimes huntress's dash stopped her sprinting
I think default blink isn't agile, so it would interrupt sprint. Phase blink is agile tho so it shouldn't have that problem

it mainly happened when i dashed while sprinting to the left/right but sometimes happened even just dashed to the front

The game also doesn't crash often except maybe at very late stages, if you're getting crashes early you should ask #ror2-tech-support (check pins first)

This crash always happen during mithrix fight even without mods. i always thought it was because of my pc specs but it didnt crash for atleast 3 mithrix fights before with the mods.
Also i was using cracked risk of rain 2 since my friends dont have paid but i do own a paid verison of risk of rain 2 but i dont think that was conflicting with it

But vanilla crashes are very rare in my experience. It miiiight be an issue with your ram though, maybe keep task manager open on the side next time you play and see how much memory you're using

metaprogression isn't much of a thing in RoR2
unlocks change the game but don't necessarily make it easier
Practice though is the only real answer considering how new you are it'd be information overload

ehhh, id say there's some notable alt skills that definitely make things easier. i mean starting as default commando and default huntress isn't particularly fun
default commando is mediocre and default huntress is kinda just bad 😭
same goes with some powerful items being locked behind unlocks

I mean yes, technically, but the thing they're asking about is, like, metaprogression as intentional game design. Like how in Hades or Dead Cells you're supposed to get stronger between runs, and that's the intended way for you to progress further
But in RoR2 that's not really the case. You have all the tools you need to beat the game right from the start
for items, i think
(fail a shrine of chance 3 times) and
(kill the 2 elder lemurians in abandoned aqueduct) are good to unlock as early as possible
for characters' skills, commando's alt utility and huntress' alt special ability

Micromanage your items, scrap bad items before you find a good printer
Chances are you find a printer but no scrapper, but there was a scrapper last stage
It really depends on what you are struggling with
And use map knowledge like the guaranteed red stage 4, and cauldrons on moon
Also you learn what items are good on certain characters with experience

The 5 minute rule was a thing made up by streamers on launch when everybody was new. Good items and builds will always be stronger than enemy scaling, especially if the amount of items is more than minutes passed.
