I did have an idea for Numeri using his Slime quirk, he’d have thought of it after watching some clips of Deku using black whip to swing around.

Basically he’ll try to mimic it with his spare slime using it to create slime vines that he will fire from his hands into walls that retract him to the walls.

Though would this feel out of no where?

Quirk: Coil arms. Coil arms lets the user have a coil like arms which is good for combat and mobility. The user can punch by 50 ft and grab anyone by 50ft. THe user can turn his arms from normal to coil styles any time. Type: Transformation. Drawbacks: If the user uses his/her quirk too much. Their arms will ache and automatically go back to normal mode for 10 minutes. ( the user can use there quirk for 5hrs so its good to tur it to normal after using it to recover fast and use it longer ).

I’m trying to think of philosophies for main characters. An old one was a pacifist. They had a strong quirk, but refused to fight because to them, violence breeds violence. What kind of heroes beat those up who step out of society’s rigid line?

He became a hero right after because one, it was easy being a veteran, and two, he couldn’t readjust to life as a civilian

Quirk - Birth of Power (BOP)

Application - The User is able to create Purple orbs that hold Quirks, these Quirks are random but can be given to others or the user of BOP. There is a hard limit to the amount of orbs that the user can hold at one time, which is 7. They cannot control what type of Quirk is made, they do know what it is after creation. Some of these random quirks can even be already existing Quirks independent of Biology.

Type - Emitter

Drawbacks - Creating Orbs take time, and lots of energy. Leaving the user weak, drained, and open to attacks. The holder of BOP can possess many quirks without a risk, however the Quirkless if given a quirk must train themselves to use it without harming themselves, and if a Quirk holder is given a second Quirk it may end up turning the holder into a Time Bomb that'd end up dying in around a month.

Quirk: Fire jack. Fire jack allows the user to emit flames on its legs. (the legs and 3 holes on each sides of each leg emitting the flames and covering the whole leg) Type: mutant. Uses: fire jack can be used for close-up combat and melee and if the user forces the flames out of the flame holes. It can be used for running faster and skyrocket in the air. Drawbacks: If the user uses fire jack too much. Their legs will ache and burn. The user will also need to drink apple juice to fuel their quirk to last more longer and be stronger. (inspired by Endeavor and Tenya Iida)

She can only grant them, never take or switch the holders.
AFO would fix that problem due to being able to store the quirks from the orbs on her person.
If I go for the motive of power rather then Adoring AFO, she could be simply wishing to obtain AFO or a similar quirk to cut out Lackees needing to be around to store Quirks. As she'd be able to pick and choose which quirks she wants and which she doesn't from her Orbs.

Quirk name: Afterlife
Description: The user of this quirk when they become incapacitated or if they die their soul may bring them back to life, or give them their conscience this happens by their soul in the afterlife returning to the user body by will, for example, the user gets knocked out. When the user is in the afterlife, their body will not awake until the user goes back into it. The user cant be seen while in the afterlife unless someone has a quirk that can see ghosts/spirits, but the user can be touched by people,since the users soul is not connected to their body while in the afterlife the user can posses other people by entering their body, taking control over the person they entered.

Drawbacks: As previously stated, the user can be touched by people, and while the user is in the afterlife, they are extemely weakened with and hard contact could kill the soul which in turn permantly kills the user. There is a time limit to how long the soul can be unattached to the user, after this limit is up, the user's soul can become unbinded to themselves when turns them into a wandering spirit, aka a ghost. If the user dies, the soul only has a certain amount of time before the user's body becomes "uninhabitable" for the soul

So i'm currently trying to plan out chapter 1 for my story and I wanted to grab an opinion on how this sounds.

The chapter starts with a flashback to a childhood event where the main character protects their friend from a group of bullies. This kinda harkens back to the start of MHa chapter 1, but shows the bullies actually being beaten back. A change in the tides so to speak.

After this, our main character wakes up from their dream to the sound of their final school bell ringing, and they go to meet with their best friend and grab food.

As the pair chat away, talking about their plans for the break and how they feel about the U.A. entrance exams in less than a year, the area suddenly turns to slight panic as a villain being chased by heroes rushes through. The main character and the best friend rush to escape, but soon find themselves lost with the villain.

While the MC wants to fight back, and even prepares to use their quirk, the best friend is so scared that she begins to kinda lose control. MC immediately rushes to help her and as the villain approached, they're stopped by a proper hero.

The MC and the best friend watch and soon get asked all the typical questions. Are you okay? Are you hurt? Etc.

This kinda seals it for the night and the pair split off, with the best friend feeling a little bit helpless given how they couldnt control their quirk, and the MC feeling this rush of "oh that was so cool! Ah I can't wait to be a real hero myself and protect people like that!"

And then the chapter ends.

Just want to gather some thoughts on that idea and how it sounds overall. Any notes, changes, etc then please! Let me have it!

Putting this idea here before I sleep so I can wake up to the criticism and responses

#

Basically a prelude to the Hanji V.S Numeri and / or Deku Fight,
Hanji meets Birth after taking over the group the fanboy was the figure head of, Numeri spying on Hanji when he’s not allowed to do hero work as a student.

Hanji and Birth reaching a sort of agreement even with Hanji understanding the consequences if he undertakes this deal.

The deal being that Hanji will take the currently held 7 quirks in Birth’s Orbs to be a major distraction, while Birth works to get AFO to reshape society as what Hanji would view as Just, specifically if he’s hailed as the hero for this.

She won’t go through with it just use him as a distraction for the small amount of time he’d even be alive after being granted 7 quirks. Just as the orbs are going towards him, Numeri jumps out of no where taking the quirks to save Hanji from the death that would happen in a quick time span.

Numeri now would have these extra random quirks but possibly under the risk of death in a few months due to the quirks. Could make his slime biology make that risk null and void or I could actually make him die

Honestly after thinking? Thinking having him be at risk of death would definitely be a lot more interesting.

It’d be more incentive for Hanji to help Birth achieve her goal of getting AFO since she’d be able to remove Numeri’s extra quirks

For example, a slug born from laziness secretes slime that is very sticky, while overindulgence consumes everything if comes in contact with. If the user succumbs to their vices, the entity's power grows, allowing them to tap deeper into what capabilities they can pull off with it. There's a limit to how much power they can produce though, if overindulgence eat too much, the user starts feeling sick, if anger explodes too much, it takes it's toll on the user's blood pressure.

    The user can create a sudden flash of light that blinds viewers

Fear - Perhaps it could be a shaking black sphere that flashes red depending on how close someone else is, the closer one gets the weaker they become.

Depression - A black void, one that would absorb any attack sent at it.

Im currently working on the main villain for the story im doing, and I like the idea of maybe having the main bad guy actually appear quirkless in some form. With their main goal seeming to be them gathering up an army of powerful quirk users to wipe out the top heroes and take over, but their actual goal to be basically wiping out all other quirk users to be on top before the quirk singularity destroys everyone first.

Yeah I have a like a bit of an idea where at first, the cult seems very much on the idea of having its more extreme members have their quirks removed from them at a genetic level. Overtime however, it becomes apparent that thw quirks arent being removed but harvested. The leader of the cult is effectively gathering up the strongest quirks so, as a last act of desperation, they can effectively transform themselves into an engine of destruction with no goal. To wipe out every single quirk user

Alright after discussing with a friend, I changed another quirk from the list

  1. Point Hopping
    Allows the user to launch between any two points, the speed increasing if the user is currently moving.
  2. Hit Multiplication
    The amount of hits that the user hits within a time frame of 3 minutes are multiplied by 2 after activation
  3. Bulk
    The user can increase their strength by repeatedly pumping their muscles or limbs. This lasts for a hour.
  4. Flare
    The user can create a sudden flash of light that blinds viewers
  5. Pivot
    Allows the user to at any point pivot their direction, including anchoring themselves to an object for a short period of time.
  6. Hardening
    Already existing quirk that belongs to Kirishima, allowing the user to harden their body.
  7. Life 4 Power
    The holder of this quirk gains more power as they get closer to their death. The other quirks alongside this also gain strength, if their death is postponed they will lose power by the amount it’s been postponed
  8. Slime
    Numeri’s original quirk, he’s made of slime.

should try to make the 7 quirks be weaker and/or not have much synergy so its more convincing that theyre random

I did realize that they are definitely similar, the life drain I assumed would have happened normally due to the quirks?

With Random idk why I even said random, I was a dumbie. What I should have wrote was Quirks that Numeri doesn’t know as Birth would likely make sure the quirks given are actually usable with one another.

It does depend on if the 7 Quirks would logically even do life drain with how you had the first question, if there is life drain either death or stuck needing to visit UA’s Current doctor.

Perhaps, removing Flare, and Pivot. That way it’s only 5 gained quirks. Wish to keep L4P unless it makes no sense for the life drain, which if there is no life drain. 4 gained quirks

Also, I did write a concept for after the 4 quirks are gained.

Involving Numeri now basically being on the run due to Birth having enough connections to get a Assassin set up to target a student, Birth informing Numeri that if he goes back to UA that student would be off'd. So it'd basically be a mind game for Numeri to figure out how to get rid of the Assassin without being brought back to UA, Birth would have a quirk that allows her to watch from afar so she would know if he tries to stop and talk with them.

Many wished to change it, but could not do much on their own, so God gave the common people that power. The Luminescent Baby is seen as a shepherd for a new age where the people could dismantle the corrupt and oppressive systems by force and build a paradise

They believe that quirks are restricted because those at the top are rightfully scared. There is now a tangible threat to their power

Here's the longer version of the concept with a censored swear since idk if swears are allowed to be posted

(Bakugo doesn't have to be included, just chose him since he was a named character I had off the top of my head)

The idea is after Numeri gets informed of the assassin and the fact he has to stay off campus he would write something on a note, Birth would tell Numeri there’s no use in writing messages as she can watch him with a vision quirk she had.

Numeri would crumble up the note but keep it on him, and when UA Heroes start to chase him since he’s been missing. He’d drop the note using Point Hopping to make Birth focus on him too much to see the dropped note.

Either Bakugo or a different Pro Hero picked up the note reading it to figure out the fact there’s an assassin that is currently stationed at UA ready to off one of the students from afar.

This leads to the Pros organizing a plan to draw out the assassin by bringing the students somewhere that’d force the assassin to follow. The assassin who’d be using a sniper would get spotted by Bakugo, with a line I have in my head being said “I could see the Glare of your sniper dumb###!”

It'd be mostly a mission of trying to lose Ida by Point hopping building to building to get him to lose sight

For this Arc it'd likely be Numeri using 2 Quirks rather then the 5 he now has, only starting to learn the other 3 when he's finally back at UA

Slime = Being made of Slime
Judgement = If the user thinks of you negatively when they touch you, they drain your energy. It's the opposite for positive thoughts
Ace of Spades = Creates and Controls playing cards that are as sharp or blunt as he wants, the user gets a headache from over use
Naptime = Similar to Midnight's quirk the user emits a sleeping gas, though this mainly is released when they fall asleep if without training.
Sandwich = Being able to sandwich two objects together stopping momentum and stopping movement for 10 seconds
Hit to 0 = basically Shock absorption
Bounce = Able to become bouncy but need to take a breather after landing if used on oneself.
Sharp = Able to make bladed weapons out of your body

If she emits it too long I imagine it could start to freeze her, or simply immediately start to freeze her. Which could even damage her quirk, as if we go about as "Her Sweat glands generate the gas" or her Pores generate it. Then the source that it comes from would be shut and frozen.

Which could either cause her body to start to get the gas going inside, which I don't think immunity would matter as enough gas would be damaging her body. Or cause her body to get damaged by gas forcing the source back open.

I hope people dont mind me butting in here but I wanted to ask a bit of a question about the first chapter im doing.

I plan on having a scene where we see a villain, who is being chased by heroes, kinda enter a populated area and as they run away, they run into the main and side character trying to run. The side character is immediately gripped by fear while the main character has this weird cocky determination to them. They want to protect the side character against this real villain, but once the fight starts, the main character lands a full blows but then gets kinda immediately outclassed. I'm talking full punch the jaw leaving a bruise and a slightly shaken core kinda thing. The pair only get saved once a licensed hero arrives. How does that sound overall, as one thing im not a fan of the original MHA is Izuku essentially proving All Might right when he goes to save Bakugo from the sludge villain. I dislike how we don't see Izuku's quirk knowledge be used to give him some advantage, so I want to have kinda a similar scene but use more personaility and what the readers have learned about the character thus far to really bring it home. We see them fight back in their own unique way, but see that they are nowhere near skilled enough yet to fight villains of that caliber.

Application - The User is able to create Purple orbs that hold Quirks, these Quirks are random but can be given to others or the user of BOP. There is a hard limit to the amount of orbs that the user can hold at one time, which is 7. They cannot control what type of Quirk is made, they do know what it is after creation. Some of these random quirks can even be already existing Quirks independent of Biology.

Type - Emitter

Drawbacks - Creating Orbs take time, and lots of energy. Leaving the user weak, drained, and open to attacks. The holder of BOP can possess many quirks without a risk, however the Quirkless if given a quirk must train themselves to use it without harming themselves, and if a Quirk holder is given a second Quirk it may end up turning the holder into a Time Bomb that'd end up dying in around a month or suffer brain damage due to the amount of quirks.

Application : Inversion is a Quirk that allows the user to Invert a person's abilities on contact for 5 Minutes. A Example being turning a Fire Quirk wielder's Quirk into a Ice Quirk.

Drawbacks : This Quirk works on what the user truly believes is the opposite of the Quirk's meaning. If the Wielder believed the opposite of Smoke was Air, that's what the inversion of a smoke quirk would be. This means if the wielder of inversion can't think of the opposite of one's quirk, it is unable to affect the target.

Application : Merge allows the wielder to merge objects that they are in contact with together, anything non-living can be easily merged together with the objects also working to make a combined version of the object. If they merge a gun with a sword, they get a gun that can either shoot or shoot out it's blade. Living Creatures must give consent in order for a proper merge, unapproved mergers lead to the user getting damaged.

Drawbacks : The user must get approval from anyone living that they combine with objects or other living creatures. Object merges are permanent but Living Merges only last for 5 minutes. The merged passing out due to the stress and energy drain.

Made another Quirk for a Villain, due to seeing that trend of Quirk Malfunctions. Though gonna make this Concept actually match MHA's Tones.

Quirk : Malfunction

Application : The user can cause Quirks of those they make contact with to malfunction for 1 minute

Drawback : Some quirks cannot malfunction logically, such as a Quirk such as a Mutation, ones that rely on the user to speak, or move in a exact way. Malfunctioning Quirks are always Non-Fatal, the Malfunctioning Quirk Factor maintained enough to prevent actual death. If the Malfunctioning Quirk would end up being Fatal to the target, the Target will pass out due to the body reacting to save itself.

Overview: A user with this quirk is able to control people at their will. Those under this quirks control are called "drones." When drones are not in use, there is no way of telling they are a drone. After the quirk is done being used, the drone will go back to a neutral state. A drone does not remember what happened during that time period.

The maximum number of drones that a user can add is unknown. However, up to 16 drones can be controlled at any given time.

The way this user adds drones to their hive mind is by touching their forehead for around 5-10 seconds.

Drawbacks: The more drones you control at once, the larger of a headache you get. Nosebleeds are also a common occurance.

I guess in a sense? I wasn't thinking in terms of them taking over and being this all powerful figure that is brutal after a tragic event.

I was kinda going for more of a vigilante type styling. Where while they do save people and stop bad guys, they push too far far in both brutality and wants of fame.

I was thinking it could be interesting to have a hero who essentially documents all their work onto their own website, influencing those who watch and become die hard fans into joining this ideology of no second chances for villains.

I like the idea that the character sees themselves as a hero and sees the others are not being able to handle the true extent of what it means.

That kinda thing. I guess in a sense injustice superman, but injustice superman is a bit more... one bad day vibes imo.

For this character, its very much baked into their personality that they are essentially the product of a hero with a massive ego and no restrictions

I'm also not really a big fan of the whole evil superman trope. I feel like its a little lazy with how often its used and how a lot of the time little is done to differentiate.

Homelander is a good comparison I think. He has enough different from evil superman to be a character i enjoy (namely the show version)

Basically my idea is that this anti-hero characted is the father to one of the students in class 1-a, where a lot of the same arrogant, ego focused traits can be seen in the child. But rather than allowing themselves to turn out like their father, they use defeat as a motivator to understand "hey! If I wanna brag then I need to actually be good. I need to train, improve, and show my teammates that I'm worth a damn", leading to them learning more tech based ideas and becoming more friendly and happy as a result.

While the father's need for fame drives him away from others besides his son who he hopes will take over one day, driving him further and further into this cycle of becoming more and more violent

There is a hard limit to the amount of orbs that the user can hold at one time, which is 7. They cannot control what type of Quirk is made, they do know what it is after creation. Some of these random quirks can even be already existing Quirks independent of Biology.

It does have an ability to create specific quirks with the right supplies. Be it the original user or people / objects that the quirk was used upon. One of the two methods takes more effort to collect enough to create the quirk.

The plan of the holder is the generic need for power, she plans to obtain the AFO quirk so she can toss out the middle man of people that she has to give quirks, either to be henchmen or to simply get rid of self dangerous quirks

The boss and her father, Vione told Tenekura to take care of the store while he's gone with her mother. It is going smoothly so far, usually in summer breaks, Tenekura, with her quirk Max stat increases her efficiency, calculation, and speed. It is all going so far until in a blink of an eye, half of the convinience store has been destroyed because of Heroes fighting a large Villain. Her quirk max stat decided to reduce her calculation stats to building stats, and after a few hours, the store has been fixed before Vione and Megu arrived, thinking that nothing happened to the store

Sub info: If the "another" doesn't switch with the user in a certain situation, it is advised that the user must use a weapon if possible

Overview: User has the ability to transform into a Maned Wolf. When in their normal human form, they have a furry mane much like the one a Maned Wolf would have, rather than human hair. The mane is usually in a hairstyle similar to a wolfcut or a mullet. They also have a tail, and are rather tall.

Quirk: Bio-Storm
The user can absorb, lower and increase and control the output of electricity of their own or other people's body and anything powered by electricity. The user can produce strings made of electricity which when attached to other people can control them and depending on the output can cut up skyscrapers into hundreds of pieces, the strings can be used as ropes to climb Ziplines to get down fast and can even be made into a rope bridge, the strings can also be placed on guitars to make sonic booms and make an impromptu high power Taser, the strings can also be used to swing around like Spider-Man. The user can increase the output speed and efficiencies of their own body by increasing the brain functionally and speed. The user can increase the amount of electricity in their own body so much that it increases their strength making them be able to have a false One for All. The drawback of this is after being in that state the user's body will go limp until they train to control it and even after that over output and prolonged usage of the false One for All state will start to cause nerve damage and lead to muscle spasms.

  1. At least 6 people at a time because I imagine them playing the strings on a guitar and at most 25 people at once and I'm gonna say no because it's mind control on top of being able to make their body move using the nerves and nervous system
  2. I would say 10 for each finger but they can also make the strings split into more like how lighting travels but if they want to make a ball of the strings that isn't something they can do very often because it takes time and practice to make and use correctly like the resign gun from Naruto

Okay how about 12 or 18 because of the main types of guitar Electrical Bass and Acoustic wait what if it's only 6 but they "tune it" to the "type" of guitar? Like the if the user controls them with Bass it's because they have strong more physically based quirks like Kirishima and Izuku but if they use Electric it's people with quirks that allows them to move fast or ones that can be rapid fired and if they choose Acoustic they just use their fighting skills and to use their quirks they have to use more of their electricity and that leaves then open to the other people breaking free from the users control

I’d imagine it would take the user understanding the human nervous system aswell, making anyone with Mutation type quirks less susceptible to the mind control due to their nervous systems being even slightly different.

Sure won’t matter much since most powerful Quirk holders have a normal nervous system, but those that have a mutation quirk that’s powerful enough or a transformation quirk that’d make it more difficult. That’s what I think anyway

Quirk : Seal
Application: With the consent of a individual or if the individual is stunned you can seal them into a object, if this object is consumed, worn, or otherwise in close proximity to someone for a period of 10 days. The sealed individual can use the body of the person that fits the criteria as a vessel. The body gains the strength of the sealed on top of the original body, if both possess a quirk the quirks will both be usable.

Drawback : You cannot communicate when sealed

Quirk: Death Doll
User: Sato Gojen
Type: Tactic

Info: Death doll allows the user to confuse its opponent that they landed a hit or killed their opponent. The user has to activate Death doll when they are at risk of being attacked, by replacing themselves with an actual Death doll. When used successfully, the user becomes invisible for 5 seconds while the Doll remains. After the Death doll gets hit or "killed", it will act as if the user was injured or slowly dying for 10 seconds before it disappears. This can also apply to different people as long as the user touches one before 1 minute has passed after the user touches a person. Instead of the User activating Death doll, the last person touched gets activated instead, both will become invisible but the User's death doll isnt activated and instead become invisible for 5 seconds
Sub info: When Death doll is activated, the user experiences a slow perception of time for 2 seconds, "It felt like 5 hours have passed" they say.

User will be fairly tall, with digitigrade legs (aka dog or cat legs essentially) and long arms (a bit longer than what would be proportionate). They’ll have the ears and tail of a Maned Wolf. I also think they’d have some thin fur on their arms and hands that fade from orange to black (so kind of like arlechinno from Genshin if anyone is familiar with her)

I’m thinking of a quirk about revenge or anger. One idea is a quirk where the angrier the user is, the stronger they are. It’s very basic. The other is where if the user takes pain that isn’t severe enough to kill or knock them out, they can perform a retaliatory action that delivers twice the force of the pain’s source

Excerpt of a fic I just started, spoiled cause slight angst/implied strained family dynamic?
||As he grew into his body, of stout legs and large eyes, the fury grew in tandem. As a toddler he would screech incoherently, arms up towards the clouds above, demanding to be raised into the arms of his kin, to be taller and more secure than he could ever be by himself. His dad would give up, (as he always does), and comply. His mom would let him cry until it felt as though his vocal cords would tear themselves from his throat if he were to continue.

But; it was alright; because in the evening his dad would place dinner in front of  Katsuki and his mom, before taking his seat across the table and they would let him speak of heroes, dinosaurs, and the games he would play with Izuku while his parents were at work. They would look at him and smile. His dad would carry him to his room at night, and let him tuck himself in, (because “you’re getting too big for me to do everything”). So, maybe he felt small sometimes, or maybe his chest would ache and his pudgy fists would curl into his palms when the other children at daycare would leap into their parent's arms, mouths upturned and wide with gleeful laughter, but it was ok because even though his parents weren’t like the ones at daycare, or like the ones on tv, they were his. And that's all that mattered.

So basically before Birth and Hanji publicly become allies, Birth will stage a reenactment of the Vanguard action squad invasion.

Putting together a team that’s more or less simply a bunch of stand ins, the only ones really meant to return are Hanji, someone given a Quirk similar to compress or simply a quirk that allows for illusions, and the warp gate maker

They’d have Hanji seemingly get captured, with the stage changing when they have Hanji actually become a villain publicly. ||Of course the fanboy won’t like how this isn’t exactly like how it turned out with Shigaraki||.

Leading to Hanji taking over the Remade League, perhaps even changing their name into “The Vanguard initiative”

This would mark when the story gets more original since the person that has to be appealed to by reinacting everything Shigaraki did got tossed from the main villain faction

Info: Similar to Nagant's quirk, Rifle. Instead of the user having a Machine gun on their elbow, they can use her quirk in any part of their body, mostly with their hands. When the Machine gun runs out of ammunition, the user must eat at least 200 bullets for a single round, the user can only store 10,000 bullets for 50 rounds. The users body will automatically use the bullets when reloadibg. The user can fly with the use of Machine guns on their backs or legs (Jetpack Joyride).
