you probably wont be good at the regular game if you aren familiar with MOBA in general, but you can definitely learn all the macro for it over time
for regular matches it would really help if you had someone you could lane with that knew how to play the game, so you could follow what they do and see how you play laning phase etc

I didnt play much myself yet but from what I played and saw, I can also give critiques on the game but in no way this game is bad. Sure it lowkey loses a point from being an extraction shooter which I am also not a fan of but it is what it is. For a video game and an extraction shooter, its good. They delayed their next major update until June with nothing in between and no roadmaps for their next expansion or the future of Destiny.
If Marathon fails (which I still doubt it will), I will be very upset because this game's art and visuals deserved so much more.
Plus its still Bungie, they always cook with lore and worldbuilding and from what I saw so far Marathon also does have a really interesting lore going on.
They literally put lore texts, story driven stuff and factions to the game.

Destiny is one of my favorite games worldbuilding, lore and story wise.
But it ended with The Final Shape
