I am reading comments about the new OW animation and people are so stupid istg

there is like a brainrot with OW where it has to be hated no matter what they do for some reason, its just annoying now. People calling a diffirent art and animation style compared to the usual Blizzard's Disney quality style, "lazy and ugly".

its the new stylized animation, like yeah they arent how they were before but it doesnt look bad

they have to adapt with all the layoffs over the years

I think OW Team def already passed like the recovery phase because content wise there is a huge increase. They are also starting to recover a bit of the lore part of the game now that PvE is cancelled.

also like again, the new stylized style they are using def most likely cheaper compared to whole ass Disney quality animated shorts because those were just insanely high budget from every single detail.

but like doesnt make them worse or bad

I honestly prefer stylized over realistic - Disney quality (by Disney quality I mean since Blizzard cinematics are usually compared to that)

they were def testing this style out during the Juno animated short but wasnt finalized yet, so like it was experimental. The new Freja trailer feels so much more fleshed out and finalized and what they were going for.

the 3D with the mix of 2D VFX and shading. They are most likely going for this because its a super popular and well recevied style from everyone (Arcane, Marvel Rivals, Valorant etc)

and I am def not gonna complain about it because I love it so much. It just looks visually appealing in every way.

I just hate people disrespecting the people who worked on it by saying "its lazy" "the fps is low so its lazy" like wdym by that, thats the whole point of the style.
