In the beginning it's kinda annoying but you can get the ability to find them instantly so it's not that big of a deal really

I think the games are good, the second being far better with yokai shift and the whole new additions and better systems

They took everything bad from the first game and reworked it so it's good

And removed living weapons which is a good thing

first off, I feel like the difficulty curve is odd. I'm only on the 2nd area yet I'm being blown away by normal mobs (which didn't happen in the first area like at all). Last I played I was stuck on the elephant yokai user with lightning on area 2 which wasn't even a twilight mission.

Idk what yokai you took at the beginning but in my experience it has not been fun with the Brute. Arguably the coolest design but the way he parries (animation) is awful and the way the parry timing works is also just not it. My friend uses the blue one I forgor what it's called. It seems like a cheese how easier it is with that yokai. Most enemies demon parry window feels awkward af.

Also, you can just as easily cheese bosses in this game with a proper build very very early on in the game which brings me to my point that you need build knowledge to be able to do stuff like that. I've been playing causally yet it always feels as if my damage is lacking or I'm getting 2 shot by literally every single thing. I try to look up what armor or specific weapon to get in a category, they show me that it's just ages away and I'm like 😩

The ki damage is ridiculous

So I can't talk about that, but from what little o could gather in my 5 minutes of using them, not my style

If you level accordingly you make your life even more hellish than the game already makes it

The base difficulty is very hard and that's not going to change very soon

Sure, builds are useful but I was totally fine without one for 100 hours of my 120 hours

The games are good, would recommend, just don't expect it to be easy
