how is this series since season 2 ended? I only have watched season 1 episode 1-3 and wanted some thoughts on it.

so far it's been pretty loyal to the manga, with the only difference being the order of two arcs having been flipped to make season 2's finale more climactic, so I think it was a good change overall.

the pacing is faster than MHA, it's more lighthearted, has a lot of Aizawa in it, and is a pretty enjoyable watch

the only things I find Vigilantes lacking is character depth. The main cast are likeable enough but I don't really know much about them- although with Koichi I think that's meant to be an intentional character trait. But I've heard people criticize Vigilantes for it's characters not being as interesting

Saying that, my fiance prefers Vigilantes over the main series due to the faster pacing and characters, so it's entirely up to preference

Only other thing I'd note is that if you like Aizawa and you're interested in his backstory, there's all that in Vigilantes, mainly season 2 tho

There's a scene that was cut out that I personally really like, in the first issue when Koichi is running away from Soga and his guys and in the manga a police officer actually stops Koichi and reprimands him for using his quirk, I know it was probably removed for pacing reasons but I wish it was kept in since it just gives context because we know that the cops and heros aren't always around and I believe that scene really made Koichi's perspective understandable could have people relate based on that scene because it's like "Where were you when these guys were threatening me and trying to beat me up? And now you're yelling at me for using my quirk to get away from them?" So yeah I really wish they would have kept that in.

Im not so sure bc from me I haven’t seen a single person cosplaying him and I know a group of person cosplaying only mha characters but none of them were cosplayed as koichi, I could cosplay deku too since he my favorite but since I love koichi so much plus his future story progression keeps me really curios and motivated to wanting to know him more in screen I will certainly do him, there was many deku cosplayed but since knoichi is less known I want to do him I love him too and I would feel more realized knowing I can do his power too

I think expecting to get anything by January is extremely optimistic.
If we have no announcement of S3, then they likely haven't even entered pre-production. I wouldn't expect anything before mid next year, assuming it even happens.

Vigilantes is a prequel so it doesn't necessarily matter when you watch it since it would conflict with the main series timeline but there are some fun nods and foreshadowing that make more sense in the main series if you watch Vigilantes, however I will say a lot of the foreshadowing is going to be in season 3 which is not out yet so I'd say as right now the choice is really up to you 👍
