I think they are too turned up on from the inner to the outer corners of the eyes. Usually it is more flat.
Also, the lips are very thing and got really strong corners. I'd make them thinner

There is many ways to ✨ shade ✨
First of all I would advice you to make the shape of the hair fluffier/flowier

Usually it gives the hair more life when you make several strands curve either towards or away from the head ✨

I tried to sketch out a shape example, it's not really that great tho heh

And then for shading, the easiest way is to just put another layer on top of the one your hair base is

Make it clipping (should exist on ibis as well) to the base layer and then just take the shading colour and go from the parting (it's essential the parting is very clear to help the shading)

And then you just make a line from the parting to the end of the strand and that's pretty much it

I like to use two shading colours. That way you don't even need to make highlights

Here is my attempt of shading with and without highlights ❣️

Hey idk if anyone responded to this yet but I used to use ibis and it did that too. The best way to prevent it is to use folders. Every 4 or 5 layers you create, throw them in a folder and close it. You can even put the folders into folders. It really speeds things up and prevents the app from crashing. I used a fairly large canvas (2500x2500 ish) and was able to do 200+ layers that way

Multiple reasons. First up you can draw multiple versions of one item. Often times you need multiple layers for shading. @pine junco in my very much personal opinion is very busy and everything blends into each other. It looks pretty for the eyes colour wise but the design itself barely shows as it's just basically one blob of blue and black with a little skin showing through, when not looking at it more. So what I'm suggesting is to add another colour, a contrast colour, to make things more differentiated and lay the focus a bit more on the design itself

first, you might want to get yourself an avatar template without any items on it since the shirt item might be a problem later, depending on what you want to do 👀
second, do you use a stabilizer? it helps a lot with making stuff look cleaner -> the mask lines seem slightly messy <.<
third, what is the avatar theme? having one of those can help in thinking about possible items

also, you might want to change the eye color since it might be too dark, but it depends on the theme

ofc, hair, mouth and eye items don't really need a theme but it may help with color schemes

+use references, they can help with getting shape ideas and stuff

i always use 2 darker shades & one lighter shade in iris always , and kinda make smaller circles to shade
and idk really how to give tips on shape, i always base my shape on my old eye designs. i do always start by just sketching the whole thing, so it’s easier to make changes before already having drawn anything

for the shading on the white part of the eye i do black on low transparency, and also duplicate & clip that same layer onto the iris (layers 84)

but idk giving tips is hard , i don’t really think about how i do it anymore , after having drawn so many eyes 😳 so hope this helps
