The dark blue of that staff is quite blending with the black hair👀

Since the light your going for is on the right, then try to put some "strands" on the hair, then you can add some shading and highlight into it. The grey part on the staff is quite flat too, maybe add some details to it?

And for the eyelashes, remember that from the eye its thick, getting thinner as it reaches the tips.

Hair is tied up so strands will be coming towards the tie, you could alternate dark and light strands. Where the hair is tied, it should be the darkest. Hair hidden behind hair should also be shaded. Hair on her fringe should have more highlight because that's where light hit. And you could also shade where the fringe split to make them more distinguishable :3 that's pretty much the basis @tawdry sequoia

@still osprey I'm sorry this is suuuuuper messy, I couldn't use the fill function on your image. Like I said I sux at shading, and your hairstyle is rather tricky. I guess it's some sort of medieval styles with braids in the back? If so I would alternate a bit of dark and light on each braid.
As a basis, where the hair split should be dark, and on top where light hit should be light. I'm just showing a sort of rough draft here, I hope you could figure out what works for you 😅
