then, following the sketch,with a slightly darker colour you go around the hair and in places that the shadows would be to add some depth

also at the ends and starts, with a dip brush (not soft!!) to give the hair some texture

this is where the magic happens

do the same thing with a darker color in the places where it’d be even darker - softly go over shadows

then use a slightly lighter colour than the base and highlight!also very softly, in hair-like texture

and that’s literally my entire technique

also add some back hair for depth but that’s not important

it looks great! i love the hair, it’s super cool and memorable whilst still fitting the style perfectly, honestly you did a really good job!
the only things i would point are that maybe the shoulders are a little too (?) angular and sharp, and that the cloud of smoke i think would look better without the overline

oh also, for the shadows the hair leaves on the face, did you use grey or black ? bc grey might look strange on the darker skintones

Also im missing some shading on the hair, the shirt and the cup / cookie

Overall some lines are not really straight therefore i would suggest to use specific tools that are straightening lines to make it look less shaky

Its only my opinion but i think you can give the hair a little bit more volume, it kinda looks weird to my eyes since it looks like it is glued to the hair, it also looks like her hair is wet.
I really really like the idea of her design tho!

You can draw in any gadget, like computer and smartphone; some apps people use for pc are Clipstudio paint and Procreate, but in mobile, I'd recommend u Ibispaint X

I don't see any pony tail I worked on the right eye and did a little of editing for the mouth that is too detailed (the teeth are really small to have blood on them) but I erased the blush because of the too small dots. It's only what I would change and in any case what you need to do, I need to make it clear If it were me I would also change the hair shape a little (head area), lower the eyes and add details on the hand

I saw you were doing circled shape for lightning so I put one in the eye too

This is the closest I found for the mouth, blood must not be detailed the mouth is already a small item.

I think the clothes are fine something seems off tho, maybe because everything is so shiny it looks like all is made of plastic.
It fits on clothes and lips and the tie tho.
On the hair u used 2 different Highlights which does eat up each other and i would only stay with maximum of 3 colours for the hair else it seems too complex. The hair itself is beautiful just the lights seem too extreme imo. For the ears I think even only the base colour And the shadow are already enough

About the eyes? I am not sure but they seem extremely big? Or it's just the lashes? and i am not sure why there is a small dot in the middle of the eye as it would be too small for a pupil

All in all i love the work a lot just that the in game style is not that 3D
