Love the background and hair, especially the male one. I think his eyes are a little low tho, he looks like he has a big forehead. You can possibly lower the hair or move the eyes up.

The pumpkin in the grave looks rather 2D (very simple shade + lines), I prefer the way pumpkins on your background are colored. Maybe work on some shading for it?

Another thing you could try is adding some bright spooky eyes on the bg trees or glowing eyes in pumpkins. They look good as they are tho, I just thought it could look interesting if they use a dark background.

I love the new shading on the grave pumpkin you can make the shadows a little stronger, and maybe add a darker shade on the most behind part of the pumpkin so it stands out more from the fire?

Hi, I've contacted the person that made this skin before, but I want to talk about the cultural appropriation that is going on with this skin. If you even do a small google search on dreamcatchers and the way they are appropriated by non-indigenous peoples. From what I gathered it is just a mish-mash of cultures (Original creator, correct me if i'm wrong on what this skin is inspired by.) If any indigenous person can speak on this I'd prefer that since I'm not indigenous. I want to speak out about this, since I haven't heard a lot about it and in real life and other games using indigenous culture and turning it into a costume. This opinion I have mostly comes from indigenous peoples and people of color which I have watched content from on cultural appropriation. If I got anything wrong, please correct me.

from far, the male's rose isn't too prominent and looks like funny juicy lips maybe make its lines thicker to be shadows?

For me outfits are more likely to be used if the items have more than one color. So if it is a pure black like the horns- something like highlights would help make the item and outfit more appealing/pleasing.
This also helps them fit with other items for personalized outfits.
If not highlights maybe a lighter color and shading with the black.

it's looking good so far! id say let the top of the hair be fuller maybe? people tend to favor hairs with more volume on the top...

the numbers, maybe write them using a thinner size? you should also straighten the pen

the hand foreground... i say make the hand into a white or black glove so it can go with multiple skin tones. or you can create a whole different fg item, and erase part of the shirt in the outline of a hand so that can also go with all skintones... if you do the 2nd one though, be sure to make another copy of the shirt so you have one with the hand and one without it

@quick harbor @loud stream @rocky marsh hands are technically allowed but heavily discouraged 🙈 it only really works if

• the hands are made to stay under the voting sign unless the concept of the design works otherwise
• the hands should either be able to change color with the skintone or should be an unnatural skin tone such as blue or as silly said the zombie hand. Otherwise it gives some wonky things, basically same reason that ear changings aren't allowed unless they can change skin color with the design
  And even then it is on a thin line of allowed

Looks like a nice start! Here's some feedback:

• The hair currently looks a little flat, which is mostly due to a lack of shading, make sure to not forget that later
• Her bun looks a little messy, most likely because you've used lines instead of shapes (I see this based on the weird bump it makes on the middle left) as a general rule of thumb, always try to use shapes as they give a cleaner look to your design overall
• How does her bow work that ties hier knot together? The white lines on the white background make me a little unsure whether it is highlighting (is it made of metal then?), not yet colored (would go for a light gray personally) or were removed since you used outlines with your shape (always try to make sure that your shape fits as a whole without highlights)
• The moon icon on her knot might be too small to see, be careful of too small details
• Her blond bangs have currently a brown highlight as a sort outline? It looks a little weird and would remove those
• Her eyes look a little too high placed because you made her hairline also quite high, lowering both should help
• Her eye highlights are mirrored
• Her necklacr cuts of a little before the skin ends, making it appear like her necklace is tattood on
• Refrain from using pitch black as a color, it is incredibly hard to shade abd only allows you to use highlights, if you want to use a form of black, either make it a little more transparent that you can apply both shadows and highlights or work with a dark gray

Feedback for the female:

• The elf ear-like modifications you used aren't allowed because those cannot transfer between skin colors and thus wouldn't work for all except one skin color
• Hair cannot go behind the ears, so you'll have to move her ponytails a layer forward
• Unsure if this is intended or not, but her ponytails don't have shading? it looks a little flat rn
• Hair cannot go behind the back 👀 so you'll have to make them a little smaller so they don't go behind the back
• Her blush and the necklace kinda disappear in the skin tone, would maybe make it less invisible by applying some other colors/shading to differentiate
• Her necklace details might be too small
• Her shirt looks a little messy, not sure what your reference for this was, but right now it looks like 3 wobbly lines 🙈 if that was the intention, I think there are better ways to create such effect

Feedback for the male:

• The bees in the background look a little blurry in comparison with everything else on the design
• The blush disappears here in the skintone similar to the female
• The mouth may be invisible on darkerskintones, especially since it is a line
• Does his jacket not have any sleeves? or is it more of a cape? Because the collar implies the former, but the no sleeves thing implies the latter
• The details on the necklace may be too small

Overall, still very cute and love the idea, just needs some fixes

I think you lack brighter highlights. If those accessories are supposed to be metal/shiny, then they can use some blings. Also the pins on his hat and the pointy ends in the background.
I really like the eyes like that (nice mysterious vibe), the hair is good too. Adding more shading to the accessories would make them less flat. Maybe a front item instead of earrings if this is for clan quest? (i count 6 items)

Thanks for the suggestion, in general i see that the game lacks beards. But the problem is there from both sides, first off all there are not many designers that are interested in making beards and second reason it does not really fit current game style anymore i feel like they all just want cute stuff and a beard does not fit that category. I have designed quite a few beards in my days for the game but there is actually just one that made it through and thats the forger beard which is black. But its beyond designers reach i can design some beards for the game but i don't think they will come in the game but thats the sad reality.

Maybe separate the mask and hat, you currently have it with the hat already on it for the mask. Just the mask could look good on other outfits. But for a 6th item i'd suggest a grave with the hat included in there somewhere. Like it being partly burned or something.

U can start by moving the eyes a lil bit down n closer to eachother 👀
The tired look can be because the eyes you draw are kinda down tilted and the eyelashes are downturned aswell, which visually casts down the face, you can make the eyes a lil bit more cat eye ish and the eyelashes up (or replace with something that looks like an eyeliner)

I like the face clothes and fg, but the hair kinda looks a lil messy because its not following a single direction and looks spiky whereas hair should always follow one direction (usually down) and its kinda confusing, therefore it grabs the entire attention and takes it away from the beautiful face and clothes

The shading on the hair also looks a lil chaotic, maybe only use one of the two dark colors and pick a light source to shade according to that ✨️

Yess, I love the eyes Peronally I think the 2nd hair would look better in the game, because I worry that, just like Semaver said, the small braids on the forehead won't be recognizable as braids. Also I really like the color combo with the new hair. Though the little froggies you added to the first hair, are too cute. Maybe you can find a way to also integrate them into the second avatar?

i honestly think it looks too simple and has many "perfect" shapes which makes it look kind of stiff (like the straight line of the girl's clothing) maybe you should try to 'freehand' it a bit more and also shade the clothing since its too simple as of rn :) but the idea is very cute! also i would recommend to not make the black exactly black but maybe a few shades lighter since you cant shade it if its 100% black :)

the ends of the hair look a lil rough on some spots (for example the one at the right thats touching his face) and also id suggest making the highlights on the hair not 100% white (aswell as not make the hair and shirt 100% black!), maybe make the highlights a light-ish grey and even add a undertone if youd like, so the colors wont look too dull ! but tbh as of now i like it! the hand pose looks very cool :] wld love to see it fully finished!

the not makin everything 100% black is really important here i think, cuz rn the hair looks kind of flat, and since its 100% black theres not really a way to shade it! (unless ur going for that look, which in that case wld be ok!), so if you made it a lil lighter, you could use a darker black to shade it a bit :)

And the horns, if it was made to be a hat accessory it'll look weird because it won't go under the front hair. But if its just the hair itself then it's all good, also those hair strands won't be visible.

I made her eyes a different color, made her lips smaller, got rid of the hair in the back, smoothed the hair out and gave her a tiny silver necklace!

Heya! Super cute skin, but a few issues!

For one, I saw you used a lot of gradients. These aren't allowed, as they don't fit the in-game style. I outlined the spots where I saw gradients in a pink-raspberry colour!
You also used outlines in some places, which also aren't allowed- again, in-game style. I outlined them in a seafoam-y colour!
There's also a few places that weren't correctly filled, and the background shows through ^u^ These are outlined with green!
Lastly, there's a small spot where the eyebrow shows through the hair? Thats outlined in vivid blue.

To help avoid small mistakes like this, I would recommend reading this message. #avatar-ideas message Again though, super cute skin!

Hii! It takes time and experience for you to get adjusted to wov's drawing style; so my biggest tip is to keep trying! It looks good so far, but there are a few things that I would recommend some work on. For example, the most important thing left out here is the shadows/shading. By adding a slightly darker color at certain spots, it makes the drawing more complete; along with also adding more reflections (the light color, e.g the bangs have a reflection already.) Do make sure that your shading doesn't result in outlines tho. Also, sharper edges make the drawing less rough and more smooth, this can be accomplished by using a fine tip eraser on the small bumpy pieces. I did a little bit of shading just to show the difference, I really hope what I said makes sense and helps!

It takes a lot of practice! The first few are more than likely gonna be kinda off bc you have to get used to drawing with this style. Try to do your sketches first and then make a layer to trace over that when you're ready to start a certain item. If the outline looks good, usually the product will be similarly as good so make sure you are somewhat confident in your outline before putting in a lot of work on the main sketch. Also, just a little tip: it never hurts to seperate every piece by layer; you can always merge layers later but it is very difficult to seperate some things after you have started so layers Layers LAYERS! 😅💙

Make sure you pay attention to the drawing rules too like: no gradients, no hair behind the head and also the order which each item goes in (ex. Hair over eyes, hat is over shirt, etc)
