To add shading, you nees to use the base color in darker color use it on the the "spikes". For the light shades use the base color in lighter color and put it on top

• I wouldnt go with a straight up black outline around the mouth and maybe make the lashes part slightly thicker
• The hair from the girl: The strains that are supposed to be in the front of the face are coverered by the shadow from the hair thats pinned to the back --> If it is in front it should not be covered by the shade from behind, if you need me to explain futher lmk (same for the highlight
• I feel like the arms are too high, the shoulders are in a weird direction aswell, they look like they fall to the front due to the roundish shading on them. The body doesnt seem right because the arms are extremely long and the elbows are above the chest already. Maybe try to keep them lower (check stuff thats in game alread for positioning)
• some details MIGHT be too thin and small
• Shading in general on clothes looks a bit off

but else it is a cute idea :3

Those are too tiny, small details won't be seen ingame so no. If you make them big enough however it may work, but I assume it will also lose its effects then as it will look more like shading

its not really "outlined" it is more a shape on another shape but it usally relates to the black outline as wov is based on a lineless style. It is based on shapes.

to why transparent things like bubbles and the hat in that case are outlined is 1. its not a black outline and 2. it supports the effect of the hat being out of white plastic and the bubbles being made out of something that reflects and has dimension. If you remove the outlines the effect would be lost

from the 4 pics u sent only the first would be counting under outline as the others are obviously shape on shapes

Imo, you are actually very capable of adding shading/highlights but you just need to change the shape, thickness and position of them. Keep in mind that these highlights/shades should be very visibile when zoomed out, so they need to be a decent size/thickness. Just play around with it! (If youre scared of losing prgress, save a copy and play with that one.) I also think if you sharpened the tips of the hair, it would look waaay better. I did a couple edits of my own just so you can kinda see what I mean about the shading, highlighting and hair tips. (Excuse the roughness, I did this fast 😅) I hope it helps a little bit and good luck on the rest of your project!!

I love it so far!! The two different colored eyes are definitely allowed but the outlines you have on the eyes/lips are unfortunately not allowed. You can have partial outline but not a complete outline of something so just erase some of the lines, I circled some parts that I personally think would be okay to be erased but you do what you think is best! ❤️ Also, I notice that around the head seems to have had a prior background erased from it, if you need a blank template, get one from here: #avatar-ideas message

So, you could do a Japanese themed skin with moons but you couldn't do a Sailor Moon skin because that is a copyrighted character and franchise.

Tysm for the feedback, I wasn't aware that highlights on the eyes couldn't be mirrored cause no one else mentioned that to me. I saw a lot of eyes in the game with the highlights looking mirrored and it didn't say that anywhere in the WOV Style Guide, but I'll take your word for it. Yeah I felt like something was off with the eyes but I couldn't figure out what it was same goes for the size of the lips. But reason why the male took a lot less time than the female is cause I copied everything and put it on a new canvas then I removed the eyelashes and lips. The theme I was going for is a Sky theme.

Base: You're not allowed to change the shape of the face including the nose and chin, but I like the little nose you gave her. Also I would try making the blush a tiny bit smaller and the freckles a tiny bit bigger so that you can still see it without it being covered by the eyes if you decide to lower them.
Eyes: They're a bit too high up try bringing them down a little bit. I also want to mention the eyes are a tiny bit too big and close together. Try making them a hair smaller and move the eyes apart slightly.
Lips: Cute, I love them.

Other than that keep up the good work 👍

Yw, sadly you can't use real gradients even for blush. However you can use slightly different shades of pink to achieve a similar effect by using fake gradients.

1/ These 3 piercings are very close to the edge of the ear, the other side is not and I would move them to a similar position as the right side.
2/ The back of clothes generally doesn’t go at such a slant, instead they go around the neck to connect. With how you have it now the back would have to be a V.
3/ the breast lines are very thick. If that is the style you want go ahead and keep it but everything else is very detailed so the thicker lines feel off. (Might be needed to be seen at a distance).
0/ I am not a professional so take everything with a grain of salt. I LOVE this drawing and the style 💚

Hi! ^^ I would suggest making one overall theme for the avatar, or at least making the assets closer together, as how they are now may not be able to be seen in-game in the future, I would also suggest sending a unmasked and masked version, to show all the hair. Also, on the red half of the mask's top and the blue eye, the shading looks wobbly-- I would also suggest setting the colour for the undershirt as something else-- It looks like a skin tone, so it can get confused for that. Hope this helps!!

Oooh, I've been waiting for you to finish this up! 🥺💜 It's easily the prettiest design I've seen in awhile. You've done an absolutely amazing job here. The hair on both avatars is outstandingly detailed and even in the smallest places, it reads as silky, soft hair! You can almost feel the females braids!

I love the color palette too and how you managed to make saturated colors not feel overwhelming with the delicate details on the eye makeup and the hand tattoos! Ugh, it's just such a beautiful way to introduce a new style into the game. 💜 I genuinely hope that you understand just how in love I am with this and how badly I need these pretty, ethereal beings!

The only real feedback I have is pretty nitpicky because I don't see a single thing wrong with your design other than these little things! If any of these are design choices and intentional, then ignore them! 💜 In case you can't see them, the things circled in green are what I personally caught. "The Moon" is slanted instead of being straight like "The Sun" title. There's a tiny strand of hair that strays away from the bottom of her braids, as opposed to the other asymmetrical parts of her hair, this one stuck out as an accidental line. And this is purely my opinion but the section of her bangs that remains blunt vs. the choppy parts doesn't look quite right to me and I think changing it to match the choppy parts would fit the style better since the middle of her bangs is already less choppy than the outer parts, leading to a little more bulk in that area!

But really, there's not much to say other than how gorgeous this design is and how it feels so real, colorful, and beautifully magical it is! Even if it doesn't get in-game or receive as much praise as I think it should, I hope you never stop designing and continue to develop this style! It's unique and needs to be seen more! 💜

The idea is great but the drawing is scrawbly,
the highlights of the bumper may actually be more light than the bumper,
the shadows of the car lights are in the right places but too hesitant,
cars are metalic and metal got a lot of light reflexion so you must add some highlights on the car body too,
the background is too lil and the letters are too thin ( must say it as it's still a sketch ) ☺️

my feedback: ur scales should be a consistent shape and not overlap each other on all sides, your colour pallet could use some work to make it more cohesive. and also maybe move the eyes down slightly? at least to be in line with the default eyes ^_^ /gen

i like silver more! in your case, if you go with the lined ones, it would be intentional lines because it'd look like metal or lining on the clothing...i'd say 2 but make the lines thicker and let the silver be lighter
