Its not easy if u dont have gender in your language. Try to guess if chair is female or male, same for freezer, salad, tv, computer and some words are even more complicated : water is eau. Eau is female une eau. But you say l'eau not la eau even if you say la chaise (the chair). And in conjugation we had to learn the past simple (spoiler it's fcking hard!!!) Nobody use it anymore.... And for the tenses with the auxiliary 'avoir'(to have), you need to look at the direct object to know whether the verb should matched the subject. We also have a lot of letters that are silent and a lot of ways to write the same sound 🤣
