Prayer needs a buff. The ways it’s designed right now means it’s useless unless you get lucky n1 or n2 and even then, you can’t reuse pray after using whatever item you get which I think needs to be changed. Role sounds good in theory, but in practice is useless. Not to mention the abilities. Really unlikely wolf dies night one, and even then alpha line has unknown aura. So it’s near impossible to get a bullet. Second most common aura is unknown, and there are many games without many unk roles. Usually it’s only really possible to guarantee getting reveal late game. Even if you get it early game you have one reveal, use it, then what? Congrats you’re a forky the rest of the game, while your sheriff and violinist counterparts can still get info. And most of the village has good aura, but you have to gamble on who’s dying. On top of it not being reused, you only get one guess. So it’s even harder to gamble. Only way to make sure you get protect is wait till late game. And by the time you have protect the person you’d want to save is already dead, and you have to gamble again on who’s dying to save them

Would disagree on it being useless tbh, every game I've had where it's managed to get an ability that ability use was pretty pivotal and clutch, especially with a reveal or kill, but yeah if it can't even guess it doesn't have much and compared to what the setups suggest the tree will be... Prayer doesn't really get the utility the alternatives do- so if it that tree stays, def needs a buff, but it is fine as just an overall weaker villager role if not in that tree

If it's gonna be rsv, they would have to change it since the only evils it pressures is wolves, there's no drawback for solo attacking them other than no kill.

It would have to take the place of other rsv because you can't have too many in one setup otherwise it'd be "overpowered"

Trapper with two traps placed and inactive die with nothing to help village
Trapper can only kill wolves and is easily countered by solo
Forger can at least give sword that kills anything and even turn lurker.

Trapper is good at crowd control IF you get three traps, which most of the time is unlikely and it's usually only 1/2 traps that get put down

And killer attacks your traps you're no longer a threat to wolves for 2 nights

Even if killer doesn't attack you again

its not really unlikely to have good traps, just place one on yourself another one on ritu/gunner/whatever and youre good to go. youre gonna get similar value if not even more to forger by n4/5 which is usually when a game ends
