It doesn't make any difference in insti's winrate when their recruits die prematurely regardless if they're the old or new insti, since both are basically 0%, but buffing insti definitely made a huge difference in how the game progressed in terms of new roles and role changes. Just look at all the incredibly unbalanced roles released after that update like judge, confu ww and siren... the pattern is very clear
