Tbh, the protection bypass ability shouldn't activate if wolves attempted to kill, but protection saved the person. Since the best use of it right now is to just attack all nights, but when protection role protects someone wolves attacked, they get a free kill with no counterplay for protection roles unlike with shadow and berserk. (Shadow can be countered by tons of things, Berserk can be countered by not protecting and only one-use allowing protection roles and berserk to psych each other out) meanwhile, wolf planner has no counterplay or fun trying to predict each other's moves, because if protection roles do their jobs and protect someone. (or if wolves hit rk), protection roles become useless.
