The first thing I got to necro was my wand and then second up was my hat.

I did test the lines and gave it to echo, he should consolidate it at some point. But we did not get nerfed. Dunno where that narrative is coming from.

However, whether we got buffed less than other classes, thats another debate.

All in all, still considered buffed in a sense for bishop for this patch, Angel of Balance and Peacemaker got increased lines.

Fountain of Vengeance deals a faster burst (15s duration vs 30s duration), the number of lines are the same so nothing to comment for this

Blood of the Divine is a good change, removing the HP recovery limit, can just equip it on pet buff perpetually.

Only downside is Divine Punishment, cooldown duration is doubled but the lines is not doubled.
1260 vs 2250 now. Only during burst our DPS is higher
But good thing is push prevention and abnormal status RES is added, way overdue

Perhaps you could enlighten us on what made you feel that bishop's DPS is halved (which tbh is a lot from a general point of view)

So im brand-new to maplestory in any form or fashion. Made a bishop and have auto quested to 105 in like a day and feel a bit overwhelmed with all the stuff. What skills should I be using or focusing on? Not sure what a good skill setup is.

at that level you can upgrade skills in whatever order i like to do passives first. your main attack is angel ray for bosses and big bang for mobbing. keep teleport. use bahamut, holy fountain, and holy water when you can to buff and heal you. try to get the event pets so you can have them auto use buffs.
once you get to 150 you unlock righteously indignant which is changes fountain and water into damaging skills. so ideally you would use your buffs pop righteously indignant, use your damaging skills and then burst.
aside from buffing the party we also have resurrection to revive the party, imo its best used when 4 or more members go down or when the party leader calls it out.
once you get to 150 and then 200 the pinned info will be more relevant and understandable.
right now i think you should focus on starforcing your gear to atleast 17-18 to unlock better farming dungeons and eventually chaos daily dungeon. also do the story exploration and blockbuster dungeons asap. ez exp and its the gate to bossing.
also if you feel that you hit a roadblock you can improve your stats via legion (cumulative characters level) and link skills (class based skill pasive buffs, can be stacked)

there is so much to learn in msm so just go at your own pace you will eventually see it all

also really important is holy magic shell buff. you use it to avoid team wipe on hp scaled attacks

I tend to do one at a time, have fountain healing, and heal before yellow eyes strike in case some ppl have PE on cooldown

Keeping the main aggro alive is key, so try cast the healing just before white eye strikes the aggro

You could heal just before yellow eye attack too, just in case.

But other players should know to stand right on the boss together to avoid yellow eye attack

If I don't mix it up divine protection only works for you and not retroactively. I use it just before dark room ends to avoid getting hit by a random orb.

You can use dispel to remove most of debuffs from allies.

25 is max (+5 from matrix points gained when you level up

• buy 1 weapon and hat piece to start investing in for the long term? i’ve read BIS for weapon is jaihin and muspell for hat so i would buy both uniques to lvl up and sf to 18?
• focus on something completely different that’s very important but i had no idea existed bc there’s a lot of info in this game lmao

if you want to start investing in a long term gear, consider getting an emblem (might not be feasible rn if low meso)
v matrix is going to be a significant boost and is cheaper relative to working on gear, recommended nodes should be pinned in this channel

I personally find that keeping RI on is better. ESP since you can cast fountain of vege.

It might be a case of your skill wheel too. Esp if you are using Angel Ray instead of Big Bang when mobbing. (Which is why RI on/off matters)

as Soup said you can also double jump up and press button to float, there is also the option to fly using blink, a V skill that can be crafted

but depending on how much cd% and ba% you have with gears you may want to play with the ratios. i went 6 cd on my mech and 2 ba and now thinking of how i can min max by maybe going ba stat on weapon if i can hit arcane but idk lol

maybe if i went full cd emblem i could go ba stat but not sure.
