If this is your first time going in I would personally suggest bio, a sentry, foam and mine to have bases covered
Sentry for doing the layers is less helpful as the level progresses, but has it's uses still
My group uses sentries still, but I know a lot of groups in LFG don't take one from what I've read
2 sentrys can trivialize the S class.
The S class is a joke to begin with tbh
You've got 7 miles of open space to see them from and you can basically force them to only come one way
Just line them up and blast it's pretty simple
Honestly, typically S1's are designed to be jokes lmao
The two S1's in R4E1 were manageable
Secondary or main?
Main you can almost do whatever and be ok. Bring at least 1 scatter + 1 sniper for an easier time
Just try to avoid infection
Secondary needs a whole tutorial itself 
Good luck winging c2 secondary as average players
If you have a competent team who doesn't know how to do it, you'd probably manage still
I winged it as a person that plays as solo lfg player
but I wish i had a dedicated team
i had a team with 3 har, a team with 2 people with only 20 hrs and a bot, a team that are basically clueless in lfg bro, all beaten with or under an hour

most beat it that way tbh (took me like 10hrs of attempts but i also got it by using LFG)
you got 1.8k hrs my guy, i'd expect you to be able to solo it 
with a long time to kite that is
i do admit it is still amazing that worked, if you were back defending, these guys pulled their weight for 20hrs
pretty much. I don't think C2 secondary is difficult by itself, but if you get people who panic it's a mess
even having only 1 guy defending means you have 3 to push a few rooms normally with a timer, that you can shoot + mine if you want to. On paper it isn't difficult, but that pressure can get to some
people panicking make any level hard at this point
true, but i haven't seen a level where panic has caused everyone to die downhill, even in D3 i had places where people panicked and died, but 1 guy killed the wave and everyone was picked up
Basically any level with an error alarm or infinite waves after picking an item would become a mess

Now I'm not in full support of a true endless mode, but my modification to it would be:
A reactor style level where you push forward through zones to find terminals while fending off waves. Each new terminal command unlocks the next zone similar to a reactor, but failure to reach the terminal in time progresses the difficulty of the wave defense while also forcing you to redo the current test. Resources are found in progress
I don't think they would be good if they were tradable because then they could just get farmed and become less interesting

R6 doesn't require secondary/overload to unlock C/D tier, so I doubt that's the case.

You can't die technically. If your health goes to 0, you get downed until revived.

they do pickups and lately even swap packs and items but no way to affect what they get exacrly
glowsticks u can tell em to throw away to make space, then point at an open box and walk 4+ meters from it
atleast you dont need to let them throw 12 glow stick and get a fog repeller
had a cfgren on a shelf not locker.. spent a few mins trying to get them to take it, wouldnt..

@floral acorn sometimes lockers bug and you cant take consumables out

there's an alternate D1 route called hotbox
it requires you to do the class 6 in the darkness and infectious fog
without turning on the reactor you cannot access the air filtration
so if you want to make the fog normal then you have to go through the reactor

You basically just stagger each limb from the giant and the bots will bollow up hammering him
just make sure you have all of them nearby
note* i am brand new, literally only one rundown that i actually left cuz i couldnt deal with the bots

Hotbox is way harder than regular D1. Its a speedrun strat. If you struggle with regular D1 I wouldn't recommend it.

Hotbox is only really tough when you don't get the gist of it, and most people who want to try it shouldn't just be jumping down immediately into it
It's better to just clear out the first room, then have biotracker say more than ping more.
3rd 4th circles they "funnel" somewhat, but havent and wont try doing it hot :)
Nothing worse than doing hotbox% and having them go one way and just full-on spawning on the other side.

headshot leaves strikers less than 4ish hp, so basically anything will kill it
and small damage boosters turn it into 1shot headshot on smalls

I have had this issue a few times where the bots will just sorta stand and stare at you while you are in a point that needs everyone to scan

You can remove them then put them back in so they spawn on you

you can use nvidia game filter to change brightness/saturation n shit if that helps

Are shadow scouts taller than normal scouts? The way they look when you shine a flashlight on them is a little offputting
Safest way to melee them is from behind, makes them easier to hit when they send feelers out.

It would work on a normal scout, so maybe his hitbox is different. I'd never considered it would be a striker model

They have the same AI for movement and positioning as what ever enemy they are running around as
They attack faster than normal too
Not that when they do have animations the damage matches up at all
If you're reacting to sound or animations you'll get hit anyway
You need to know by feeling when they'll pull that shit

Sectors are a mechanic which adds optional objectives to the game, ranging from altering the game state to adding other objectives. The following sectors are available:
Primary
Secondary
Overload (Third Sector)
Prisoner efficiency (All three Sectors in the same run)
Multiple sectors can be completed at the same time, however you always need to do the Primary/Main sector.

Yep, the letters are the "tier" of difficulty. The numbers are usually not tied to difficulty. (though on this rundown all the X1 levels are a bit easier)

I am still new to the game but I cannot get enough of it. Too bad that my team only "can" play once a day
I've had that problem in the past, meant we couldn't clear some of the older rundowns. The lfg groups on this server are quite good if you don't mind playing with strangers

At least in my experience, most people you match with won't hold mistakes against you, especially if you match in #lfg-beginners

We're having a wee bit of trouble dealing with Tanks in C3. How should we approach them? Are mines viable? Scattergun is good and all, but we may be using it wrong.
Doesn't the sniper only do 100 damage tops due to the fact that the tumors can take up too 100 something damage?
Fair enough. Is the sniper useful later on too? The scattergun has served us well so far and sadly we have 2 teammates who like picking shotguns, so we're forced to have 1 HEL gun and 1 sniper or Scattergun.

one time we carried 2 snipers, scatter, any special
and one of each type of tool
the scatter is pretty much optional and doesn't really help a lot with the tank unless you get a pretty perfect shot on it
more useful against giants and really stacked waves imo
(last one to a much lesser extent)
The 2 snipers can take care of the big guys anyway though
And also have more ammo, so I suppose 2 snipers and any other two specials?

It's been a while since I last played GTFO. I just ran C1 with bioscanner but it now only tags a single enemy? Didn't it use to tag all the alerted enemies? Is this new or is this just my game bugging out?

So two more questions, what is artifact heat and does secondary just mean the mission has a secondary objective?
artifact heat means how much value you get from picking up a booster
at 100% you gain 0.15 artifact value per artifact
at 1.00 you will gain a booster of that kind when the run ends
picking up boosters will lower the levels artifact heat and raise it for every other level
meaning you cant grind a single level

You also can't exit when collecting them

You have to die and return to lobby or beat the level
and yes secondary is indeed a secondary objective
there is a third objective called "overload" which is also a harder objective
the fourth one ish is called prisoner efficiency (PE) which means you do main, extreme, overload in one run
so only two levels, C3 and D3 have it in this rundown
if you see something like "B2 extreme" that just means B2 secondary
it used to be called extreme so most early access players will still call it that

I’ve been using the knife lately cuz of its quick charge but I haven’t been able to try the other melees yet
Knife is probably the best of the bunch, not great against giants but you’re not fighting against giants most of the time you either stealth past them or shoot them
depends on playstyle and skill I guess
Bat is great for staggering a single enemy
Hammer is great for all purposes listed above
Spear is shit

Doesn’t consume stamina, fastest charge up of the bunch, can take out clusters in seconds, can kill scouts

If you rely on your hammer rather than your guns then, yes the braindead hammer is great 🙂
The charge time and multi-kills are pretty minor benefits when the vast majority of the delay in stealth is waiting for things to stop glowing and syncing, not charging your melee.
Knife doesn’t take that into accountability
If you know what you're doing on hammer, you can also "take out clusters in seconds."
You can just run through glowing enemies and get rid of them before they even finish their glowing animation

That just sounds like forced aggro, which isn't unique to knife and not hard to get away with on any melee.
If you alert a large enough amount of enemies, I don't think knife will be very good at recovering either.

My point is still that knife only really takes away functionality of your melee, it doesn't actually help that much.

Hammer is a good, solid choice as I believe it can still one tap headshot scouts, and deals good damage.

If you know all of the stealth tricks, and can use them to clear faster, knife only really has small upsides when clearing crowded rooms quietly.
