Take your time, there's usually no need to rush in and kill a scout. Watch for nearby enemies and keep low, your flashlight will also make the scout deploy it's tentacles. I think the scout still doesn't bend it's head down for non-host players, so there's that.
If you gonna kill a scout just go for it and don't hesitate

A few methods are
- stand still in his path and let him walk to you, then bonk him
- sprint in his face when the tentacles are fully extended, most risky one as you have like 1 second from when he starts retracting them and go invunerable
- walk to him, he will hear you when close and go down to leave the feelers. If you are right next to it, you can crouch and the feelers will go above you, free bonk
I would always avoid methord n.2. 1 is the easiest, 3 prob most efficient
Tried it just now, I'm still having issues, might be something else as the sound also pauses when the frames stutter. I noticed that also my cpu cores are relatively cool for some reason despite playing this game on high as if they're not being utilised properly

If you get used to doing method 2 when some random sleeper wake up you'll be able to save your team

On my first run, i was only able to make it past the first data cube but on my second run, i was able to finish it

Now i am learning n.2 and 3
I used to run 2 mine deployer and 2 sentry with my bots but there’s a bug where the bots start to stack mines in a single place
So i became the sole mine deployer
I've never ever dropped down with 2 mine deployers

My first B2 run, i was getting super annoyed only finding fog repellers only to take them for granted while doing alarm doors in the bulkhead room

My first C1 was with ppl who couldn't aim too well

Got it yesterday w/o checkpoint. Had a team without too much coms but good players who knew how to hold their own

sorry, I just saw this but you can increase cpu culling workload in advanced graphics as well. You said that you had a 3060 I think so I wouldn't turn it up too high but it would also depend on your processor, so just go up one level and see how it works
well that seems to be fixed since we haven't had any issues with using the command in terminal, but Idk about extraction.

Not sure if that's intentional or that the ping system was just made in a weird way
been like that since the start, definitely intentional
drawing on the map is good but the map isn't super detailed and won't show multiple floors so when i'm talking strategy to my friend I really wish I could just ping a specific spot
instead of having to run over to a spot and tell him "right here" or "up there"
the only reason I could see it as intentional is to stop ping spam or something....

but that's the issue. You can't explain everything in conversation. it's mostly a problem because the maps aren't detailed. A room on the map will appear as one big square room but in reality it has multiple levels with multiple obstacles in the way so if we're talking strategy it would be easier to ping things instead of having to walk over to an area or explain "right behind this corner desk" or something

Is there a mechanic or sytstem in the game that influence bots what ressource pack they pick up or what concumables and how do i force bots do give me or my teammate 1 charge of a ressource pack? Do they only give it when its needed? Can someone explain me the mechanic if its exist? I would be very thankfull

It seems bots don’t like to pick up stuff you’ve already picked up
apparently if both human players have a resources/consumables then bots will automatically go and pick resources and consumables if your further away than 10m from the resources

they also mentioned fixing 2 bugs where they don't do that

theres a treshhold in wich they will give you whatever resource

Has anyone tried testing what loadouts work better with bots? It seems like they try to conserve a lot of ammo sometimes so a stronger/less ammo gun seems better, but other time it looks as if they mag dump any sleeper that enters their vision
What's the actual long term goal with this game. looked through the official website. The rundown system doesn't seem sustainable long term if they apparently are never going to re-release any previous rundowns.

what's the real difference between the burst sentry and the sniper sentry? seem to more or less do the same thing
Burst sentry shoots many ennemies and does moderate dmg with each shot, sniper sentries shots fewer shots that are much stronger
sniper huge shot damage, high shot delay, long range
burst fires a lot faster, lower range, lower damage
Sniper sentry is very useful when you're dealing with hybrids or giants
ye kills giants in about 2 shots
Burst is usually more useful when you have waves of ennemies

yeah it makes sense. i'm playing with a friend and 2 bots and I thought it'd be easier to have the bots use sentries but the problem we run into is not knowing which doors the wave is gonna come from lol but yeah thinking about it now, cfoaming the doors and then setting up mines when you can actually determine where they're add definitely seems better than hoping you have the right sentry setup then quickly having to pick them up and replace them if you fuck up
If you use cfoam and mines properly you'll barely have to fight during alarms

What I said is a bit of an oversimplification but its the gist of it
if it takes X time to get to the player, a door in between will add ~5 seconds
then between the multiple routes they will choose the shortest
If every room is a zero, enemies will spawn on top of you.

thats why opening a door can sometimes cause them to take a longer path
and can funnel them

there might be a voice over slider in settings but you cannot turn a specific one of them off

on day 1 of release i nearly was the 1st to solo but died at 50% extraction
then someone who had early access to 1.0 beat me
I soloed good old R1A1
I long kited away and then I came back, finished the last 2 circles and then I heard them hitting a door but I didn't mine it because I thought it was only like 3 but it was more like 17
God it was painfull with like 20hrs
and the last 2 circles were already about 70% each

I was soloing R5B1, the one that starts with the huge room, killed both scouts successfully, cleared the entire zone, successfully COMPLETED the class 4 alarm, ran into the zone that had the key and got aim punched by 2 shooters so I was 2 bullets away from staggering the giant that killed me with a tongue

||It's just a gen cluster with a cell and turbine in the zone, as well as a lot of ammo. You need to go to two other zones behind the checkpoint door to get two more cells, and these zones only open if you open extreme first.||
Do you know if you have to ||place the cell of the extreme zone in the generator|| for the other doors to open ?
||It's only tied to opening extreme, so you just need the bulkhead key, do the DC scan, open the door. You should go in there for ammo, though, it makes things a lot easier unless you have like 10 uses of ammo already.||

probably when rundown 7 comes out or if they release an extension for the current rundown which they probably are going to because I don't think that they would ad clothing customization and then make it so you can't get all of them from the one rundown but when they release R7 I expect that there will be more apparel options thrown into the pool.
for tools: bio, mines, and 2 sentries as long as neither is a sniper
||and when you get to the pit, #1 you should at least bring one burst sentry, and you can place a burst sentry on some boxes one floor down facing the middle of the pit and it will kill 99% of the flying triangles and also some strikers that run past on the opposing side||
we know that we need something to clear waves on the last security

assault rifle is pretty good because it's ammo efficient
through extensions or new rundowns most likely
or DLC packs
and basically any other ammo efficient weapons
HEL gun is pretty good because of the penetration
feels like they've purposely held off on releasing all of the cosmetics

np but one last suggestion is don't bring the heavy assault rifle as a secondary, it does decent damage per shot but the ammo per ammopack use isn't the greatest and ammo does get thin, and also, if you have some bioscan speed boosters, even just a little makes a huge difference like, it makes that last scan easy
and bring all the cfoam grenades from 149 and 150 with you, if there's more than 4, stage them
then save at least 2 for the final ||concrete staircase|| if you don't have bio speed

What each syringe does: The red one gives you health, but also infection, the yellow/green one buffs your melee for short time, also gives you infection.

Infection reduces maximum hp
You can overheal, but you will lose hp to match your current infection level
so it has nothing to do with the foam nades and is just good for the foam launcher

there's some rounding thing happening per charge
so shooting one blob per charge may screw you over unless changed

i found a way to do 100% back multiplier
i stand directly at the middle of their model, press W to move up a bit and the game count it as back damage
the back multiplier just become really precise than before
or the damage got nerf to give you 90% damage instead of 100% (to kill charger)

charger has more hp than striker

back hit should do 40
then the charge up damage got change

@near bramble The checkpoints only apply to your current game, once you exit the mission, you can't go back to them. so if you're doing a mission and you die, you go back to the chekcpoint but if you leave, you have to start from the beginning

Hey I'm thinking about getting the game. how long are the matches? What is the matchmaking like for a solo player? How is the replay ability?
its not really a game you replay much when you beat the levels
but they add new levels on a sort of seasonal basis
how long a match lasts depends on the skill of the players
newer players can take like 4 times as long to beat a level as experienced ones
also if youre going to play with randoms dont use the in-game matchmaking system use the discord matchmaking
[depends on the level, anywhere from 10 (if everyone tries somewhat for speed) - 2 1/2 hours
[don't use matchmaking, it suck, but the LFG's are normally pretty populated
[infinite replay ability. When they release a new rundown, it's a whole new set of levels, or you can replay the current levels, if you've beaten them all, and do different challenges with your team to spice things up or just try to get 100 completions on one particular level

and each new rundown is free btw, but once a new rundown comes out, you can't play the previous one

As an experienced player who completed R5 I love the checkpoints. Repeating a 2-hour section just to learn the difficult part was a pain. Checkpoints make the game so much more enjoyable.

i think that one instance is a bug on C3
if you load a checkpoint C3 just bugs out
and you cant complete extreme
because the objective doesnt register completion

well I think I can complete the level this time. we got COMPLETELY blindsided by the secondary objective. had no time to setup and it took my friend about 2 minutes to figure out what to do at the terminal

if you get up to infection resistance you actually get none and ||on R5E1 you would spawn in with no infection||
Anyone experience matchmaking issues when in a premade? I was matchmaking with a friend where I was hosting the lobby (2 of us total) and it'd then put him in a totally separate lobby and myself as well.

If you run auto of ammo, it probably means you are not using stealth enough @barren badge

These are a bit more advanced to melee
First you need to know they get immortal when they scream
ahah figutre that out
Which means if you touch them or touch the feelers they scream
trial an error
With that in mind
The 2 main ways are
- run at them and bonk as fast as possible
You will touch the feeler, but he needs to retract it before it can scream
So you have a small window to get him
That is risky doh unless yoy get good at it
Easiest way would be to wait for it to retract feelers
And then just WALK to him and bonk him
If he releases the feelers when you are close, you can crouch right next to him and the feelers will go above your head and not get you
And never actually touch him or he'll just scream right away
Easier ways are C foam and Sniper
Also only bat and spear kill him in a full charge
Bat only in the back of the head
Knife, forget about it 
Also if you fail a full charge to the head, it usually means you hit its shoulder or it only registered as a back hit
Latency can fk with that
