They are different sectors
Each level has at least the Main Sector
which is the main objective
some levels may have harder objectives that are completely optional but will reward you with more apparel
the 4 sectors are in order: Main -> Secondary -> Overload -> Prisoner Efficiency (Finishing all 3 in 1 run)
Sorry but I still don't get it. I finished B1 and what it sounds like youre telling me is that B2 is the same map as B1 but with one additional mission on top of the main objective. But thats wrong?

Usually you do the optionals first or midway through a run
for example b2 you have to do secondary first, and after completing it you have to open the main bulkhead and do the main mission..

It's an important choice to make, because choosing main means you can't do the optional
you get one bulkhead key, you can open one bulkhead door with it
if you open secondary, you have to finish the secondary objective to get the second bulkhead key
and that key then unlocks the main bulkhead door (same bulkhead controller)
if you choose main with the first key, your other bulkhead key is behind a locked bulkhead door and no way to open it etc

each level (a1, b1, b2, c1...) is a new level. Each level has a different layout, and a different objective to do in each level. Some levels have multiple objectives you can do in the level, in which case we call those secondary (extreme), overload, or prisoner efficiency (doing all at the same time)
Talking about the simple ones
bulkheads are the entry points into the additional objectives
breaking the head of a striker doesnt always kill it
bulkheads are the choice you make to do the optional or main objective

basically the more you have the easier it is to obtain boosters
aka picking up a muted artefact at 100% heat will give you about 0.5 booster progression and 20% heat will give you about 0.1 booster progression

Ok I don't know what's going on:
Is there a period where scouts are invulnerable while spreading their feelers?
I've messed up the last several scouts, full charge hammer right in the head. I don't know what's going on
if you get a white/blue hit marker they were invincible
they become that after they're alerted
Scouts are invincible only when they are preparing to scream, which is just over a second after a tentacle turns red
I swing when I haven't alerted them yet. Always full charge. Only other thing I can think of is that I'm not actually hitting the head's hit box because I'm crouched or something, but I've taken out many of scouts while crouched
Make a clip of you killing and missing a scout

i feel like the first level of every tier is meant to be easier for new players to get the story content
think of it as an appetizer before the waiter shoves the plate in your face
for a full clear, the higher the number, the harder it will be for that tier.
but it generally wont be harder than the first of the next tier.

A1 and B1 were relatively easy for me and my friends but B2 and C1 have turned out to be a nightmare, which is why I asked hahaha

And we found only one and Reset_security_protocol doesn't work
is there a way to make bot pick up ammo/med/tool ? I saw the bot do it sometimes randomly
if you're more than 10m from the box, the bot should pick stuff up

it's something we'll talk about internally. there's probably a bug causing them to not pickup as well, but we want to also avoid the frustration of "why do I need to tell a bot to wipe their ass" and they should just do stuff and be helpful, but not at the expense of it causing confusion

Yeah I think there's a bug with the checkpoint sometimes. We had that once then another time we used the checkpoint it was fine

@lilac fulcrum I'm sure you guys are aware but the uplink terminals on B2 extreme seem a bit flaky. It feels like if you 1) Use a checkpoint you might get stuck unable to do uplink_connect again or 2) Have someone connect when a session is in progress and they get different codes. I would assume there might be issues if a host migration occurs but that's just a guess

If you liked the melee of previous rundowns (if you played them) the hammer is the exact same (Charge and sprint). Personally I like the spear for the long range, as feel it is more useful in most situations.

If the bot is stuck somewhere, or you need to de-spawn and re-spawn it, hit the ESCAPE key, locate the bot and change the permission to "locked" to despawn the bot, then change the permission back. Bot will then respawn.

Guys, just a noob question: If i host a game and play with a friend, we did not make A1 (ha ha), but the Artifact heat went down to 85 %. Now he hosted a game, and Artifact heat was 100 % for him.

One other issue we experienced: we made it through the first alarm, died later on. We re-started the checkpoint, but that was not right AFTER we had done the second alarm through, but in the midst of battle (without sentry guns set up) etc.
Is that as it should be? Or is that a bug?

Hi so im doing rundown B2 right now, and messed up the secondary objective uplink and it says that the command can only be run once. Does that mean i literally cant do the secondary objective anymore?

I think thats a bug, since normally it just says you put in the wrong ip
But you can get the bulkhead key in there without needing to finish extreme so you arent softlocked
the exact line is ERROR:// This command only allows one use. Command has already been called
Join as host, have your friend join, leave the lobby, have your friend lock the player slots of the characters you dont want to be to bots only, and rejoin
And then if you want to host you can just get your teammate to leave and rejoin

I think head multipliers are not suitable in all melee weapons at all

not every level has optional objectives and some only have one
you can make A1 harder by getting everyone in your group to do certain challenges like no hud, hammer only, or single fire weapons only etc. but other than that there are no other objectives for A1

it never did, you have to hit inbetween the shoulder blades right on the black sacks

I haven't beaten it but it took over an hour to get almost to the end

it just means that those are the main missions, as in the warden cares about the completion of those expeditions more than the others

Ran B2 Extreme with some buds.. we completed the secondary objective. we then went to do the high alarm door. died. and the saved checkpoint put us before we did the extreme secondary objective.
issue is.. the terminals this time wont let us use the uplink commands because we already did it before the quick save, is the extreme objective bugged and we have to do a full restart? or will it count?

well you can have a mic selected for discord besides the windows default
This happened to us. Had to restart checkpoint, after that it worked for us

if it is the default in windows already then I don't know what to say other than does your mic also have a sensitivity control thats turned down, is the in game sensitivity thrned down, and maybe just try restarting

i've only played about 45 minutes of the game but the 'red light green light' comments from people are making me nervous about if that's all the game is at higher levels

Im liking the knife because of how fast it is but it only kills with full charge if u hit the head as a body shot wont kill
i think it makes up for not being able to sprint
the spear doesnt kill on a body shot either
you need a headshot from any direction

How tolerant is the GTFO community towards players who don't use mics? Is it easy to find people to play with if you don't use a mic yourself? I'm thinking about getting this game, but I never use a mic. I do use text chat in games where it's available and I generally listen to tips from more experienced players than me.

you tell your teammate to synchronize hammer, once you get to the enemy you can use comms countdown

Guys, quick question. After cleaning the level you got cosmetics, right? But what to do if you complete all missions in rundown and want more skins? You get the skins if you complete level first time, but if you complete it the second time you get nothing. Any another ways to open new skins after cleaning rundown?

In this post #how-to-matchmake message itโs told that the lobby ID should be copied to Discord. I play via GeForce NOW and the service doesnโt allow me to copy / paste from / to the virtual machine.

they do use guns a lot but
i wouldn't advise giving them a scatter gun
i think they only use scatter gun on big packs or big enemies

with spear u can cleave like 7 sleepers if they're cluster very close together, because of how active it stays after u thrust u can turn around to other sleepers and its gonna hit them too
That alone may make it the best melee weapon at first glance.
What about the rest? In R1/R2 i know the limit was at 3 at a time alone
spear still suffers from making u quite immobile, not being able to charge while sprinting is a big deal
knife is just really good at clearing small sleepers, half a second to fully charge and a headshot will kill both types

In R1/R2 with the lack of knowledge we had we took 1 body part each. It was hilarious cause they were left with nothing

good morning. is there a way to increase visibility in the game? I understand its meant to be hard to navigate but i feel blind for around 80% of the time

not really.. flashlights sometimes glare with fog.. but otherwise the long range flashlight helps a lot
are there differences in flashlights? i noticed some have bigger cones or a different hue but as hirn just said, it usually feels like a full beam headlight in a foggy night to use them
also middle clicking the shadowy parts might reveal boxes lockers terminals doors even if u dont see them per se
the shoulder light default works better than in r5 imo.. all the guns have diff lights, some good some not

it was pretty much only used to dodge during active combat, it's also not that unrealistic to quickly burst into a certain direction
patch notes don't mention it unless its part of anti-kiting, why is it so weak now?

Do bots have issues dropping mines ? They seem totally fine with door frames, but they do not seem to like some walls, especially for giant placements (high).
yeah bots are very dumb with the mine deployer
they are great with bio tracker tho

I am brand new to the game, got it with Geforce Now. I SUCK when the enemies get woken and alerted. Is there an easy no brain meta gun loadout for just ease of use?

There was a lot of repellers, but it was our first run through and we didn't know where we needed to go/where the infectious stuff even was
and we only found 1 disinfectant
You kinda just gotta assign someone to collect resources from the fog.
Have one infection tanking unit.
