the heavy smg has better range and damage I think.
I really like normal SMG for the amount of ammo it has making it borderline impossible to run out unless you go trigger happy with it,Heavy SMG has around the same ammo as AR with lower clip, hence my question

Machine Pistol seems like a meme weapon with truckload of ammo but next to no dmg
So you use like half a clip on one smol striker

hel rifle has a shit multiplier on head. it's actually not worth going for heads with it... leave it to other gun that have a better mulltiplier for it

I think someone created a spreadsheet for it, other than that, you have to view the game files. You can read about it in Rule 12

if its a grated floor and your above or below, then yes. If your close to a railing, I think they can hear you if they're close enough. Other than that, you should be fine to move without them hearing you

Me and a friend just downloaded the game and we tried to host a game together and it wont let us drop, can anyone help me?
This is likely a result of Network Optimization software not allowing GTFO or Steam to function properly. This is most commonly seen with the ASUS GAME FIRST app. If you open the game and create a lobby solo, then go to the "Dashboard" of the GAME FIRST app, you should see Steam listed. Click the menu at the far right, and reclassify Steam as "Game". If you see GTFO listed, make sure it's also set as "Game" group. Exit out of the lobby and now try to join a lobby with your friends and it should work without issue.
If you have a different Network Optimization software running you may need to do something similar in there making sure both GTFO and Steam are allowed highest priority.

how do i kill a scout with a melee weapon?
scouts are kinda deaf
they will deploy tentacles on movement sounds instead of alerting
so you can sprint and jump around it all you want, and it'll never alert, it'll just deploy it's tentacles instead
uhhh from what i understand it's somewhat of a spectrum
so depending on your angle you get differing numbers, up to a max of +100% bonus damage
the damage multiplier is not enough to bodyshot a scout, at least without boosters
important thing to know about back damage is that it's calculated based on the players position relative to the enemy's orientation, not the phystical model of the enemy which can be misleading

anyone understand when or what causes the character do the cooldown animation for melee? i've had a lot of instances where i kill or hit one guy and go for a second kill or hit and find my character doing the cooldown animation making me not able to swing. i've been testing to find what causes it to happen but it seems random when it occurs

so there IS a cooldown for when you can melee however you have to actually hit something to cause it to happen. if you swing and miss, you can click as fast as you want but, it will only charge after the swinging animation is over and allows you to charge again registering your click. BUT if you hit something (anything) and you click just after you start the swing (not hitting anything yet) your click doesn't register and you dont charge since it's not regestered
so i guess that IS a bug, or intended for some reason

if it was, it should be consistent and maybe a longer cooldown is in order. if it's not consistent and you dont stop to analyse the issue then you can still have the issue in normal gameplay sometimes. to have it be an actual feature to think about instead of as an error when you're fighting for stealthing then it's something you can comprehend and take into account instead of feeling like the game is bugged or something and brushing it off to random chance. i like the idea of a cooldown system in the melee tho so it can slow people down and make the sleepers a threat and it could change the way you approach a situation entirely

Hello. Just one question. Been so long since i last played GTFO. And i saw that the scans for security does were only on 1 wave(4 scattered scans). So i was wondering if the scans now were only 1 scan wave or was it still the multiple scan waves(Either 3 waves or 5 waves.) but just got lucky. I was doing A1.
@loud stone Check what Class it is. The door now shows how many class of scans you need to do for a door.
It was a class 2 if i remember correctly. So it would have been the big scan and then 1 wave of 4 scattered scans then?

1 - technically boosters but no not yet, planned is gear and cosmetic iirc
2 - depends on your skill level but if it fits then you might easily spend over 100 hours on one rundown
look at the rundown concept
Boosters can be seen as a progression system, however we do have a progression system that includes weapons and cosmetics planned. Each rundown consists of many expeditions, and each expedition can take 1-4+ hours depending how many tries it takes and how good you are. When we update the game we remove the old expeditions and give brand new ones, for free. So you'll have plenty of content for the future to come.
As for update cycle, right now they are a bit further spaced out than we'd like as we're using the Early Access time to develop new features as we lead up to the 1.0 release in the future, so it takes time to create new features, but hope that in the future the update cycle will not take as long.

The more artifacts you collect in an expedition, the more the heat will decrease, which means that replaying the same level will make the artifacts of that expedition less valuable for a while. Heat will automatically increase by playing another expedition.

Only if an enemy from the alarm screams into the room with the sleeping enemies or the room is close enough that your gunfire triggers them

Are you sure about that ? If I remember the bulkhead door of the Overload is unlocked when you take the cargo
No, you have to do Extreme first to unlock Overload. The door that leads to it is under lockdown and cannot be opened till you finish the last uplink at Extreme.

Any slight decrease to melee damage will prevent you from one shot body shotting strikers

nah occiput should be able to handle around 15% on strikers

typically if you look closely, you can distinguish a fake generator and a real generator by
if it has 3 dots in the cell slot
if a generator is powered, you can see the handle of the cell in the generator.

and it was powered off I think
yeah, and its always that generator which is the one you need to stick the cell into
that one does not vary
but if you want to distinguish a cell/no cell, you can see the cell sticking out of it.

I prefer the revolver because you can kill scouts, one tap sleepers with headshots, and kill a giant if you hit all 6 shots then empty most of an assault rifle mag into them
but the HEL rifle is pretty awesome

struggle a bit with three, and when you feel like As arent so daunting, pick up a 4th, either as a one off, or advertise for a permanent member.
if you're new, and you dont want to be dragged through As at breakneck pace, only use #lfg-beginners and say beginners only.

hey does anyone know why sometimes enemies will respawn in an area and no it was not from sacs on the ceiling and yes they were in different locations the second time.

Makes your foam blobs bigger. You can seal doors with slightly less foam
A typical B4 run will take 31-33 minutes
seeing all these timings while my group takes 1.5x-2x as long to complete a level really shows we're slow 
I mean B4 is like that because that's how the level is designed
other levels will be higher
or lower depending on skill level
