i have melee resist near teammates and dual resist near glowsticks
boosters have RnG regarding different modifiers too. You can have melee resistance and their requirements could be anywhere from "being in bioscan" or "glowstick proximity" or "human proximity". just randomized.

You get hit round corners sometimes and enemies see their friend dying even though you block the los with your body sometimes, so always prepare for the worst

then we took our time trying out some new things
and we got better at stealth
the game gets a lot easier the more you play it, especially if you get decent at stealth
stealth is by far the biggest hurdle for new players
it doesnt take that long to get used to though
everything gets easier
dealing with scouts silently will help you quite a bit as well
the harder levels are full of them
if you have a main team that you play regularly
you can specialise on different things
if you guys dont have too much time to practice
We try to play somewhat often, but we all get pissed at one another so it makes for a bad unfun experience cause we die cause we argue
teamwork is key on this game
if your team have a bad idea, just roll with it
they will learn from their mistakes

It's funny to me as well since they're both Muted, but one is literally double the effectiveness. Most other Muted boosters I've had that are similar but better are only like 1% Better

Hey, how do you do the overload on A2?
I ran it with some friends but we couldnt figure out how to do overload
Once you pick up the HISEC Crate the Overload door will be unlocked.

When you pick up the HISEC It'll first give you the message "Return the HISEC Crate to the extraction point in Zone 15", and then a few seconds later will say "Lockdown disengaged - Bulkhead door to [Zone 302] Unlocked"
Burst rifle, any good?
It does just a tiny bit more damage than the regular AR, but its a burst so you'd still waste bullets
just burst cancel after you've done the first full burst to head
Br does a bit more damage and have less fall off 15 meters unlike its fully auto counterpart

You have basically a boat load of handling to swap between weapons rapidly and aim down sights, only thing that hinders you would be the magazine size and their fumbling hands while they reload the gun.

So yeah, I guess practice for a couple of times would help
with decent knowledge and practice you can pick the resources out of a zone in about 1-2 minutes.

What special weapon would one recommend paired with autopistol for stagger spraying
The HEL gun feels really mediocre, even in scenarios where the enemies are in a narrow hallway to make use of the piercing
I have mixed feelings on the Arbalist, it doesn't feel as good to use as the other rundown machinegun
Cs is pretty good for huge mobs that have been built up.

make sure you find the ammo in every zone so you can shoot up the waves and also start shooting if you end up waking big groups
try to find and remember where the terminals are so you can ping the things you need (ammo, maybe meds and the key) and get to them more efficiently
taking your time to loot can be very rewarding because you might even find some fog repellers which would help you greatly if something goes wrong after blood door

just wondering anyone here that has beaten C2? and if so is it a better idea just to do overload / extreeme than the base mission because of the low resources
extreme has tons of resources and is reasonable in difficulty, overload is very cursed
me and my group have done the base mission a few times, but since there is no resources without going through the other doors pretty much ended at the generator / door after the generator due to only having out hammers left
i've never done a high only run so i'm not sure how the resource management would work in one tbh

we settled on a cfoam / mine launcher and 1 turret + scanner for invisibles
when we did pe we ran double sniper sentry/mine/bio
foam doesn't seem to valuable in that map from what we did
scans are almost all team scans and can move away from doors preventing permafoam

if you're confident in your gunplay and speed extreme is an easy avenue to plenty of resources

So, a friend of mine recently talked myself and a few others into getting this game, but its been a pain getting everyone together... As new players but competent gamers what are our chances going in 3 or 2 heads strong?
Personally I plan to try some LFG groups to get a bit more time, but I cant assume my friends are onboard with that idea
More specifically Im thinking about early levels such as A and B tier?
Depends on game knowledge tbh
You will have a hard time with duo/trio especially if you guys are just getting into the game
you guys should be fine for A tier levels, B may be a bit tricky but very doable for newish players with 3 people
it may take more attempts than usual, but if you do get your 4th player it would make it quite a bit easier
you can also take however many people you have and head over to #lfg-north-america or whichever fits you and fill your squad with randoms
or any of the other ones

you'll have a rough time going.
but i can give you a bit of advice: each of you should practice soloing individually for at least an hour or two.
that will improve your chance of moving forward as a group greatly.
it boosts confidence and helps root out people scared of making mistakes.
the biggest boon to playing this game is recovering from mistakes, and the margin for error in trio is even lower.

seems something changed R4->R5 and blood door enemies don't scream immediately
so if you ran far enough away you might end up with the room staying sleeping
and there's other strats too if they do still scream

and make sure your mines and sentries and whatnot are far enough away from the door
but that's the exact problem with it since you can just blow shit up otherwise

i also got a booster that i was wondering how it worked but i dont want to waste it if it's good (its a "regen. cap +15%"), does the base regen cap get boosted by 15% as in only 3 extra health or does it give +15 instead for 15% of the total hp?
base cap is boosted, so +15% would be 23 health

here's what i have soo far on the subject of boosters
name:
the type of booster (muted, bold, or aggressive) then there is a base kind of effect which is given, those make up the start of the name of the boost, then the dash, then you have what the boosters effects (max ammo, regen speed, regen cap, special weapon damage, main weapon damage, and so on) and the additional + that tells you there is an extra good effect, and lastly the "conditions" that im putting down below.
that is how naming the booster and what is on it works but the values of the boosters is random in a spectrum that the devs made for each kind of booster (muted, bold, and aggressive) like 3-15%.
HOWEVER all of this is completely RANDOM. from what kind of booster you get to the values and debuffs that come with it, all... random
the conditions:
rq/11 is in bioscan
rq/16 is human proximity
rq/17 is glowstick proximity
and nothing at all means no proximity
the + means extra is added to the boost
example:
protect : melee resist. +7%

question. Me and a party where in the middle of a clearing up A2 with optional bulkhead objective. I was the 'host'. My internet connection blipped for 90 seconds. Rest of the party got kicked out of the game. Me as well. Why?
If im the host, i should have stayed in game, and party could rejoin. If im not the host, i shouldve get disconnected while party would continue, so i could reconnect?
if host dies, game will attempt to save it with a host migration with whatever information it can cobble together
if it succeeds, you can generally join back.
but very rarely, the game will straight up just crash everyone to lobby every few hundred hours.
very weird. so far i had only two occasions but both ended up with everyone in the lobby.
over 32 hours (yes, we suck to still be clearing A2 after 30 hours into the game)
just uhh, i dont reccomend hosting if you use wifi
i am, however havent noticed any latency or a lag.

yup, our own party, no matchmaking. we have found a huge trouble to kill scouts. for some reason, 3\4 attempts with hitting it straight in the dome of the head with 100% charged hammer dosent kill the damn thing. i know we can just foam it and gonna try this for next run but maybe im missing something important with scout takedown?
so:
-aim higher (if he's standing)
-depending on situations of different elevations, jump
-scout always crouches forward for the host, stands straight for everyone else.
-if you're host and he tendrils, crouch to meet him and hammer him dead on.
im honestly confused to see some other people on youtube on current rundown just running around with hammers, taking down those spike-faces easy while we keep being silent and failing to figure out scout :C
sometimes the scout does crouch even when your not host
most players with large enough gall, can hammer most every enemy.

soft alert, being a woken enemy that has not screamed yet.
hard alert is when an enemy has screamed, and the room has woken.
aha, we`ve managed few times to keep awoken in right-click stun-lock until killed, but not very confident on that.
dont shove, just give em a few half charged hammers
to the head, if the half didnt take em out, give em a tap.
those aren`t usually main problem tho, imho.
my main problems so far, apart from generic accuracy:
scouts ❤️ in love, who walk together.
(apparantly from above) completely missing the head of the scouts
hippy-trippy sleepers who almost hug eachother
that one alert on B1 when untill you disable HSU, spike-faced are rushing in, basically ignoring auto turret + burst turret + sniper turret in a corridor setup, idk whats up with that.
then just understand that for any standard regular sleeper:
tap to back of head is instant kill.
front of head is about 50%
and if im trying to nail awoken enemy that way i often miss to a floor and make nose that wakes others lol. i know i`m pretty bad at it

yeah i think i got the jist on silently taken the sleepers, but still mostly trying to do a full charge etc
B1 can be rough on beginners, chargers can be quite a hurdle, and they've been thrown at you a lot earlier this rundown, for diversitys sake.
well i think chargers are a problem due to previously described. if we basically had to take out scouts LOUD we are low-ish on ammo, health, tools.
still no idea how those bastards completely ignored that turret setup. they where plenty time to get stagger and a sniper shot in the back
keep in mind, if everyone pushed into the zone, the spawn distance remains constant, and might have spawned past your setup
the best idea you can really do for B1 is take some time to find the terminal, then ping the hsu.
i doubt that - just for a test, we setup turrets right in front of the door, and we haven`t passed more than one room inside that before dying)

think of cfoam as a shield healthbar for the door
you can "heal" it by applying small amounts of foam
just don't overfill it because a full charge is more than enough to max out that healthbar
